haha I went to see it in january and had tickets for the front row of the balcony (highest bit) but when we got there the balcony was closed so they upgraded us to row E of the stalls!!! :D
I wanted to see it in the west end but i live in scotland so i could'nt..ya see i have done oliver about 6 times and i am only 12 so i am really getting into it...
Illigal or not. It was usefull for working the thing out on paper... It indeed said God is love on the front. Needed it for a thing I had to make for school afterwards the excursion to London.
i was 3 days ago, grand circle row B, it was very good....
The play is just beautiful...Rowan Atkinson was sick, but the other Fagin was also very good...Jodie Prenger made me cry, she is so lovely...Oliver was Gwion Wyn Jones and Dodger was Robert Madge....everybody was perfect!!! I was very happy with the live cd!!!
where abouts are you sitting here? i just bought tickets to see it again and went for grand circle row C, does anyone have an idea if they're any good?
This musical was sooo brilliant. I saw it when Gwion was Oliver and Robert was Dodger. Really great. a must-see. Is Harry the Oliver in this one? when he sings "beautfiful food!" he sounds scotish
just because he lives in oxfordshire that doesnt mean he cant be scottish, i was wrong anyway, hes not scottish but he is partly welsh and irish so yeah.
how the hell did you not get caught doing this?? or manage to do it without getting funny looks.
i love it!!
i took a picture at the end of wicked when everyone was bowing (not like the show was going on) and the attendent came up to me and was like DELETE THAT PHOTO!!! *and i diddnt* but grrr.
Umm...what's up with all the thumbs down that jamez123123? Anyway jamez123, I wish I knew that trick too, or that they would just do like they did for Into the Woods and film it high quality onscreen after all, there really is no comparison to seeing it live and seeing it on tv, live is infinitely better.
i took a picture at the very end of wicked right....litrealy just before the curtian went down and the man saw me and he came running up the stairs and was like YOU HAVE TO DELETE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!
what do they think i'm guna do with a Picture of people bowing! lol sell it ;)
ahaa i nearly got kicked out! :P but not cos of recording. my friends in the show right and he has a line! so i promised id cheer as soon as he said it, so out comes his line and i screamed "WHOAAA GARETH!" then as soon as i said it, members of staff ran down them stairs to see who it was! :P

theatre group im in is doin oliver its our last day doin it :( its a matinee and a night perormance people say its better than professional productions they've seen :)
Has anyone been able to notice a pattern of the olivers being on certain days with certain teams? I am going march 24th and i hope to catch either gwion or harry this time as i saw laurence before. Just wondered if gwion, say does wednesdays and fridays or laurence does tuesdays n harry does mondays etc.
I went on the second night and had Laurence, who was fantastic. I also saw Joseph, Arthur, Chester and Sam, and I saw Jhonny and Jordan in the program.
I saw Harry as Oliver on the 6th and going again in May (feels like ages to wait). Harry was great and a little cutie but think I'd like to see Laurence next time because his voice is brilliant and I'd prob get all teary when he sings Who Will Buy? (stupid as that sounds).
Shelley which group of boys did you have on the night?
I'm not sure whether I had the Shillings because I'm sure I saw Jonny and not Chester (I might be wrong though). I'd really like to see Chester and Arthur in there but they are all great.
Yes i know he is not in the production anymore....sad really as he was the one I most wanted to see. At least I have the cd now so I can listen to Laurence just not see him i the show.
Oh dont worry, Laurence was amazing, deffinately one of my faves, but Harry is also incredible, aswell as James and Francesco. Ive heard Gwion is really good aswell.
That is a good price. I always go for Stalls seats but a few people have said that the view is good from the balcony so will have a look at them for next time :-)
Yes I did get confused. I didn't realise there was an understudy AND alternate. It was definately Tamsin Carroll I saw though and they definately said that Jodie was ill - lots of people were wingeing about it however, Tamsin really was superb. I so want to go again! (Will wait a year though untill the prices start coming down through deals)
When i went i got Tamsin aswell. She was really good but like you i was upset because i voted for Jodie to win. I'm going to watch it again at the end of Feb and according the the schedule, i've got Jodie. So that's a plus. Also, the prices for the tickets aren't that bad. My mum got ours for Feb, balcony row B for £18.50. And she got them about 1 week ago, directly off the Oliver website.
I went last night. It was absolutely amazing. Sadly (and rather annoyingly) jodie was ill so the understudy performed. However 'Tamsin Carroll' was nancy in Australia and has won lots of awards. She was superb. However, I am a bit peeved that I didn't get to see Jodie as voted for her on the show.
Wait... she was ill! So you saw the understudy not the Alternate Nancy!! :O That means you saw Sarah Lark! If you did then you are so lucky! Unless you've just got confused with the alternate nancy and the understudy...
Who was the oliver? And Dodger?
