Wrong. The main character(Beckett) is not Alma's son. The "Point Man" from FEAR one is her son along with Paxton. This is a whole new character who wakes up with the same abilities as the FEAR "Point Man"

In this game series, the end is always the same - evil wins. they end it the way they do to show there is no other option for the story than to end it with the inevitable. Seeing as in the 1st, you find out your Alma's son, i doubt you will die so easily. how the other point men you play as in the game can do what the son of Alma can, i have no fucking idea...

F.E.A.R. 2 looks great but it kind of disappoints me that you won't be playing the Pointman from the original. It's fairly subtle but it's there, not sure if it's scripted in to just that particular scene or if it was simply well timed to the music, but it was freaking cool
