Hey man, I need your help. I've been running into brick walls ever since I ordered this drive. I was following your tutorial and after I updated the drive, it asked me to restart; after I booted the computer back up, it doesn't recognize the drive! It says removable disk. @kickboxin55 You need to repatch the iso and reburn the backup with new topology data from axbg360. Get the new axbg, run original iso through, reburn.

It should now work with LT+ 3.0

@cheezpie11 Just depends on your model of xbox. If you have a slim then probably, but if you have a phat model, just take your drive out, get a molex power adapter to power it, and then use a sata cable to plug it in to your computer.

@sephmccarty okeyyyyyyyy.but to clear things 4 u there is xgd3 format and u need to lt2.0 frimware for it.AND u r right there is no a big difference betwwen the "ihas" and any dvd burner.i burned alot of xgd3 games like gow3,bf3,cod mw3,skyrim,nfs the run,and the list goes on and on without any problems.

You will keep getting disc errors using a normal drive but some games may still play ok. Its hit or miss on wether they will work. If you go online then this is a must as you would get banned quite quickly.

@BookReader801 If it's on board sata then most likely not going to work, plus sata drivers are sometimes a hassle, if you have a sata card that's VIA6421A then you can do it for sure, but the X360USB Pro is recommended.

Carolina, you're wrong...It should work on all working on board sata ports...well the ones that are compatable with the dvd drive. I have onboard sata that doesnt work with flashing 360 drives but has done 6 ihas drives just fine no problems. also tried on 2 of my other computers on board sata and all worked.

a USBPRO is obviously best because it's the best sata to USB there is but even those cheap sata to USB adapters work just fine for this.

Yes mate just swap it out for your old burner or plug it into a sata port and when you boot the pc windows should recognise it like a usual burner. Then just flash it with with the tools and firmware provided in the burnermax files from c4eva.

No its a dvd rewriter that you use to burn media like music, films ect. You may already have one in your pc so take it out and swap it with this new one. Flash it and you can now burn the new games that come out without getting errors you would get from using your old dvd rewriter.

When you use abgx on a game, use it again on the same game to check that it shows all green. If its all green then its good to burn. The best thing to get for burning is "imgburn" google it its free. That is what 99% of people use and there are literally hundereds of tutorials to help using it. I don't use nero so cannot help on that sorry. For a game to be live safe it has to be verified which imgburn will do and tell you after burning.

Unless you have burnt it using the iHas drive, your disc will easily be detected on Live and you'll get banned eventually.

you only need those tools if you hv an old pc without sata. Swapping out your old one for the new one is all you need to do. Flashin takes about 10-20 secs and is done with the app provided.

Help Please! I have a ihas 424b & sabrent 5.25 enclosure case (sata) that I bought from newegg. Is this ihas 424b compatible with a dvd enclosure case? I ask because the fan on the enclosure case works but, my ihas drive will not light up or eject when connected. I have a laptop, not a desktop if that matters. thank you

Just remove your old burner and put the ihas in its place then flash with the flash utilty program that came with C4EVAs firmware and your done. Simple and no need for usbpro (unless your using a laptop)

@Zrenjaninac You dont NEED the xecuter usb pro thing. amazon search "SATA/PATA/IDE Drive to USB 2.0 Adapter Converter Cable for 2.5 / 3.5 Inch Hard Drive / Optical Drive with External AC Power Adapter" and that bundle should work perfect. It has a molex power supply that you plug into the wall, a molex to sata power adapter and the sata to USB cord/adapter thing with an extra sata cord. its all made for powering and connection optical drives(like the ihas) and hard drives to computer.

@crayons102 yeah i had this problem too. I was using windows 7 64 bit flashing a iHAS 224, I fixed it by Going into the BIOS and switching my SATA to IDE mode then flashing worked.

@babyrack815 You dont need to use XP, The instructions in this video pretty much cover it. Dont need a sata to USB connectivity kit you can just hook it straight on to the SATA on your mother board. If you do this make sure that your BIOS is set to IDE mode, mine didn't work when it was set to ACHP. I take it you have already downloaded the firmware files from ixtreme.net forum, that includes complete instructions follow them to the letter you'll be fine, also has instructions for burning.

It depends on the disk/media...Do Trial and Error.. I've already wasted 6 disc.. all of them are not installing on hardrive :( @ Calculate Optimal, leave it as it is... the dvd file will overwrite those layer break. hope it helps

@xMarshyy You can use either one but the mkm003 which is 8x on package will be able to burn at 4x per c4eva and the mkm001 we will continue to burn at 2.4x
