  • "I know for a fact this will pass"

    *whistles*

  • 105 people didnt watch the WHOLE VIDEO.

  • To be perfectly honest, If I made a game and saw torrents of it, I wouldn't be mad. I would be pretty happy that people are actually interested in playing my game.

  • @TearsOfWar1

What if you worked for a company that invested thousands if not millions into the games development? You may be OK with it but what about the rest of the people in the company?

  • @TheArchfiend I can't really speak for the rest of the people. Some may be OK with it, some may not. Just stated why I would be OK with it. It just depends if you value money over people enjoying your product, I guess.

  • TBH the Vince McMans of the world don't have any sympathy from me.(I don't like wrestling but this is for film producers as well.) They make more money in a day than most us make in a year. SOPA deseves to be unsuccessful.

In all honesty I feel more anger towards the VMs of the world because of teir greed, they make millions but still want to squeeze more out of the working man.

  • i'm agreed with you 100%, people should see it this way; if your neighbor came to your house and still all your things what will you do?,the answer is easy you go to the police and present charges against your neighbor and the police arrest them and the judge put' em in jail,so why all the people and companies getting affected by all this internet piracy are not able to do the same thing?.

  • Have instead of are.

  • Now lets say NO ONE would be able to seen it for free then UFC would be maybe a 1/10 of what it is today, Its whole growth is because they got people interested in it for FREE.

And NOW they are a shitload of money because of it, A lot more then they would of if they didnt let people seen it.

Supply and demand and UFC is a great example on how a free product can make a shitload of money later which it would have taken them 10 times longer if they didnt so in fact they earn more because of it.

  • @TheArchFiend Well yet again sad to say you are a bit off on this subject.

Were gonna take UFC as a great example since u brought it up.

Let me tell you right away UFC would NEVER EVER be this big without millions of people watching it for free.

And what does Big mean well.... They earn a lot of fucking money on it they get great deals cause they have built a fanbase of the product due to FREE COMMERCIALS, Yes thats excatly what it is.

  • @DRock7977

AGAIN with you. I am one of those people that watch UFC for free and know damn well that the sport is bigger because of that. Are you even watching my vids before commenting?

  • @TheArchfiend Actually i didnt watch this one completley :)

Missed the last minutes but i watched it now and you seem to be in the middle of both sides.

I didnt say you were completeley off, I only meant that UFC would never be this big and earn the money that they do at this time if it wasnt for people like me in Sweden being able to watch ALL of the 143 UFC events and 14 seasons of the Ultimate fighter for FREE.

They are now coming to Sweden and i will buy a ticket because of it.

  • if the companies went back to VCRs they wouldn't have to worry about the internet xD

  • @Jinseual Lol, there's an idea. I miss those things :(

  • @Jinseual They tried to ban VCR's. Cunts.

  • I Understand your point of view and i agree with you in princible but this bill feels more like the US Government being the police of the World Wide Web key word their is World by the way. Look stoping piracy is a good thing i totally agree but there are other ways and means to go about it and in closing this is like the 3rd or 4th re-write of this type of bill or act as you said it evolved from PIPA to SOPA but there have been others before it and personally i think its going to fail.

  • Arch, in one video you showed that you had pirated DVDs... So...

  • Piracy is illegal and people should realize that. However... instead of getting a bunch of people who pirate to pay a small to medium sized fine, they get 1 pirate a year (it seems) to pay like a million dollars, and it's usually a child who had no idea.

  • SOPA Is A Nice Word For COMMUNISM!

  • WOw found it anyway I agree for what you say but can you believe the people who are trying to create to pass the SOPA are actually the people who created CREATED the distrubuting software or piracy software what ever you want to call it literally look up Jeeeprsmedia or go to cbssucks.com

  • Sopa could be improved, but it has good points. For example, if there are less tv shows and movies on youtube, people will look for better original content on youtube which could help promote people that make thier own shows and movies.

  • @thearchfiend this is a big dilema on one hand you have the pirates who steal this content. on the other hand these companies (as far as my own understanding) who are worth ridiculous amounts of money (we're talking billions here) are bitching about some millions which they could easily gain in a very short amount of time. i always ponder on this when someone mentions how bad piracy is

  • YouTube has something called 'safe harbour' status which effectively nullifies it from any legal repercussions of material on it's website, as long as it is 'pro-active' (legalese) about removing copyrighted & unsuitable material.

  • Comment removed

  • Understendable and logic arguments... I mean, I'd be also angry if someone be downloading my shit (Music, Photos, Designs & Art) or using illegaly to make money... but as you said, there should be drawn a clear line for every one to see.

I mean, when I wanna make some "Lets Play" on YouTube and I can't, because of that bill that would suck.

Also the music/vids on YouTube are a very good way to promote a companys stuff... I mean they would shoot an arrow in thir own knee, if they'd banned that

  • You look like Aaron Rodgers..

  • If you don't like censorship, support Brett Schenker, of the Entertainment Consumers Association.

  • And this is why Linux wins.. ITS FREE (90% of the distributions anyway..). You cant pirate Linux. A silly idea.

  • @Mobius14 There is torrents to download Linux distros and shit. I am like..."But they are already free... O_o"

  • so, is that why I can't access tgwtg?

  • I'm a Pirate.

    Arrh Matey!

  • I can't stand piracy.

  • what gives the USA the right of jurisdiction over other countries websites??? The companies that have complained about copyright infringement surely have subsiduaries in said countries and therefore can approach that countries government about on-line piracy... If it's passed, goodbye youtube,facebook,myspace,spiketv.... etc etc

  • Piracy FTW :D

  • Pirate. Bay. Dancing.

  • Believe it or not, voices always trump money. If they didn't, then black people would still be sitting at the back of the bus today.

  • 100% of my games are illegal pirated.

  • this could kill cinemaasacre and AVGN and who cares honestly?

  • i only consider piracy bad when someone steals someone's product and sells it.

  • Very nice to seen a new point of view.

  • 1. go to judiciary(dot)house(dot)gov

    2. do a search on HR 3261

    3. look for the link that takes you to the hearing

    4. search for the phrase "Public Performance"

    5. find wording that is very similar to Bill S.978

    6. ??????

    7. PANIC!!!!

  • Move servers abroad + proxy = problem solved, for the minority who understands how proxies work.

  • The entertainment industry is making more money than it ever has before.

  • thumbs up if you would still do the girl in the coockie monster costume.

  • This happen to my country New Zealand now we've got a shitty piracy law.But i still download music.

  • It seems that the biggest collective problem with these bills (like s.978 & these newer ones) is that they don't seem to have even a working definition of Fair Use (there's a group out there that came up with a good one, but it's got next to no legal gravitas right now); there's a world of difference between someone using clips from a film to make a review & someone just outright posting the entire film so people don't have to pay ticket prices. Ambiguity is fine in law, but this is too vague.

  • I think In the end, these companies aren't losing all that much money. There is a significant percentage of people that use piracy to test out products and/or listen to songs to see if they like them or not and later buying the said product. This is seen a lot specifically in game-titles.

Same basis can be given for people that simply can't afford a certain product at a given time who turn to piracy because they couldn't buy something even if they wanted to.

    It's simply a gross exaggeration.

  • @Coecoo Companies are benefiting from me and piracy, since I am one of those people.

  • ... if the bills allow for the automatic shutdown of a person's website without a proper court case, jury, judge, or any of those other lovely rights provided by the first ten amendments of the constitution, than these laws are unconstitutional...

  • @SenshiofWolves The owners of the websites would not win a court case against congress either way.

  • @Go4TheKneez As true as that may be, we are all entitled to a fair trial no matter what law we break. Lawmakers need to uphold the people's rights no matter what wrongs someone commits. Besides, I can see this type of "Guilty until proven innocent" thing getting way out of hand. It'll be like the Salem Witch Trials again minus the putting people to death part. Accusations all over the place of people "stealing" each other's content. This is why we have a Constitution...

  • @SenshiofWolves free-movies-onnet

  • @MrXclio put a dot between the net

  • pirating killed the anime industry during the big anime boom(height in popularity) in the 90s and early to mid 2000s but at the same time this does worry me

  • Do you KNOW you are eating troll bait? I've had a great laugh from some of your responses, I must admit. But unless you are completely retarded, you MUST know you are devouring OBVIOUS troll bait from people who just want to get attention, when you are answering some of the comments. I fucking DARE you to feature this comment on an episode of "LALAFC". You can't talk your way out of this one. So.. Are you are pussy, or are you a MAN?

  • 2 questions

    1. Archfiend (or whoever may know this), if you live outside the US and you break the SOPA act, can you go to jail or be fined?

    2. What I wanna know, will this only effect Movie, TV Shows and Music? Or will it effect Video game uploads as well?

If so, then alot of people are gonna be screwed.

  • @ninetalescommander This will affect ALL user generated content on everything. It only affects US citizens (the bill) but the reduction in user content on most websites (like youtube) will hamper businesses quite a lot.

  • get your pitchforks

  • anyone know the names of these free movie sites?

  • @MrXclio Erm...Crackle maybe, though I think those are approved movies by Sony. YouTube itself may also be considered one provider of free movies, though once again, these are all approved before upload I'm sure. I'd try just Googling it, and see what you get.

  • @Sustenance21 ive found one/ :)

  • There are already laws and they are used all the time to prosecute violators. This bill does not use the laws and court system. It would allow shutting down sites on the allegation with no courts involved. A good share of YouTube is not paying anything for all the music and music video put up by users and this act could shut YouTube down in a heart beat. The weird thing is that "piracy" in many cases improves sales. Some artists post their own music video on YouTube for free.

  • good video

  • The game commentators get fucked from this bill, also.

  • Is it just me? Or..... Does he look like Ryan Reynolds :D

  • @norge696 fuck you

  • @everysnakesdream22 OK, hop on. you'll get the ride of your life, guaranteed.

  • @norge696 dude i have a mac and i want to play games... which are mostly on pc -_- give me tips to get games for free and not rally nto technical

  • @norge696 Differences between 'hacking' and torrenting. Just so you know.

  • @Plantronicsify I do both kiddo <3

  • @norge696 you, my friend are bad ass! :)

  • i was introduced to your channel via the nerd (i think you know which video i'm talking about) and saw that you have been exposing these big youtubers, i'm just curious what your thought on whiteboy7thst and him getting robbed, thanks in advance for a response

  • D:

  • Oh, damn, sorry =(, i watched the whole thing.

    Can i haz forgiveness =)?

  • The RIAA claims losses that are more than what the US's economy is worth.

Just because something is pirated does not mean that a sale was lost.

These companies have not "lost" any money.

  • I agree with the majority of what you said Arch, because I knew of this one movie called Hostile2 got a strait to dvd release because of piracy. Metallica sued Napster over songs that were not supposed to be released to the general public yet during that time. I also agree that it is wrong for people to make money off of copyrighted material. But Anti piracy in the VG industry especially computer games can be otter garbage sometimes due to the fact it can prevent a legit buyer from playing.

  • I agree with most of this, accept when you talk about how music artists suffer when people pirate there albums. This isn't true, the people who suffer from that are the record industry, and music shops. It's been known in the past that barely any of my $20 i could spend on a CD would go to said artist. It's most likely that the profit goes to the store, or to said artists record label. MOST if not ALL artists make money off of merchandise and selling concert tickets, not CD's.

  • My only real problem with the entertainment industry trying to crush piracy is, if "illegal" sites are able to make hundereds off of stolen material, why can't the Industry find a way to profit? I have yet to see the music industry, the biggest cry babies in this whole mess, even attempt to change with the new technology of the internet. I understand they want money for their hard work but, quoting Bob Dylan, these times are a changing. They need to think of new ways to profit.

  • people get ready, were heading into 1984, and big brother is pissed!

  • asfdsadf

  • I would never steal a film or a CD if I never thought that that film of CD hasn't stolen from me.

  • its kinda scary if you ask me

  • yay for piracy, fuck the entertainment industry, they only put out shit and the people working there are a bunch of assholes

  • 2:34 .. .AND IF THEIR PRODUCT IS GOOD people buy the hard copy. Ever gone into a movie (like Blair Witch Project!?) and leave and felt VIOLATED because it was so horrible? WE have every absolute right to piss and moan, as well, because companies are TOO BIG to suffer from boycotts- this IS the new boycott. Anyone who's anyone knows that "free" stuff is usually "Free" because it's a) over-priced to begin with, b) they spam the hell out of users promoting the product, or c) (usually) it's crap.

  • And dont get me wrong, i haveoriginal music, movies and video games, but they are so goddamn expensive that im force to look for alternatives.

This law is an attack on freedom of speech.... nah, just kidding, I WANT MY FREE FUCKING MOVIES AND MUSIC, AND I LIKE PIRACY.

  • Comment removed

  • @rodgark77

What the hell are you talking about? Did you even watch the video? I'm FOR PIRACY! Why are you saying you disagree with the video?

Seriously, why did you just say what you said?

  • @TheArchfiend This is what happens when i watch a video at 5am in the morning and dont't even bother to read the whole title.... sorry

  • I don´t think the bill will pass. As it looks right now, the bill would not only f*ck things over for the average user, but also for the big companies. I mean, if they´re willing to block websites because of copyright, that would mean they´re blocking their own content as well since many big companies and artists are making a living of this. LMAO!!! And America needs to stop acting like they can do whatever the f*ck they wanna do. Honestly!!!

  • @Muscle4LifeX lol, you make a good point there sir. take vevo as an example, they´re making money of their content here on youtube. so by blocking youtube for everyone, they are not going to make money of their videos. haha what retards are coming up with this retarded shit? act first, think later XD

  • @Crazydrawings Act first, think later. 100% correct!

  • @Muscle4LifeX Hodgetwins.

  • @qazwsxedc9483 It was just an advice, they don´t need to follow it :D

  • @Muscle4LifeX UMADBRO?

  • @TheBlazikenking Am i mad? How come?

  • @Muscle4LifeX I'm bored

  • at the end you say they have millions all we have are our vioces? i wonder if Google/Yahoo/youtube will put their millions into fignting this? i would argue piracy leads to the shitifieing of media ie. the entertainment industry needs to make a larger percentage of their from advertisment so they make people like Justin Beiber and Kim Karcash-in who atractive to advertisers famous. also i wonder how they plan on taking down overseas sites seeing all the trouble they had with the pirate bay

  • I only briefly skimmed through content online regarding SOPA. Basically internet blacklisting? I presume responsible consumers like myself won't "care" we are already doing the right thing. People who decide to pirate will do what ever it takes to download free content from the internet. I'm sure there are work arounds.

  • Blimey! What arrrrrrrrr ye sayin' matey?! Piracy is how I make me livin'!

    God, I need a life...

  • You sit there like so big man thinking you know everything you bald fucking asshole, You don't really give a shit all you want is little fan boys to suck your you tube dick, Get a life did you even go to school? I mean really Fighting in a war instead of doing something with your life piss's me off.

  • How can america shut down foreign websites?

  • @arsenalkid47 They can block access by US citizens, but they can't shut them down. However, if the website originated out of the United States, then all of its owned-and-operated affiliates can be shut down.

  • @mechamind90 So like they can block us citizens going to uk websites?

  • @arsenalkid47 If it's written in the bill and the bill passes, they could.

  • @mechamind90 Good thing i live in ireland!

  • Well fuck hollywood as long as they continue to make shit movies with big names and shit remakes i will pirate their shit! Oh and the music industry isn't even worth supporting. Thank god for piracy

  • I know there's no copyright on this video but check it On the stolen one he has made the quality bad so youtube's automated bot wont pick up nudity, clever

    Stolen, earning money

    /watch?v=R9ZB4VvO7Mw

Original, not earning money but probably stolen aswell

    /watch?v=sVPa46W3uMY

  • @ForeverAlonePrick OK LOL. Makes me think of that South Park episode.

  • I have also read that 4chan is strongly against the bill. If the bill passes, I am pretty sure they'll try to force DDoS attacks on websites owned by pro-SOPA/pro-PIPA groups.

  • I received an e-mail. I think SOPA (HR.3261) is fading away due to its reputation, so they're putting all their eggs back into PIPA (S.968) now. YouTube videos will probably be safe, but domain names may still be subject to spying and blocking if PIPA passes.

I am actually uncertain when it comes to YouTube partners uploading that copyrighted content and putting ads on it. But the SOPA and S.978 affect all YouTubers, not just partners. The corporations need a completely different approach.

  • No more redtube,xtube.pornhub.

Only henti-foundry and 4chan from now on, me lads.

  • LOL I was actually gonna do one like ForeverAlonePrick...

  • @videogamenostalgia I GOT TO IT FIRST! I BEAT YOU! HAHAHA! ALL CAPZ SHOWS YOU THAT I'M AWESOME! YAY!

  • Piracy will always happen no matter what they do.

  • Archfiend.... don't you realize that most of COPYRIGHT CONTENT actually SUPPORTS these big industries. Just Saying. (Ex. Game footage, movie trailer, movie reviews, etc.)

  • the prick guy btw, but im guessing he was acting like he was jerking it

  • @bojanks15 I pretended to jerk off with a shakeweight. It's still on my channel, if you want to find it. Just search my name and archfiend's name. You'll find it.

  • i didnt even get what he was doing

  • "B UT ITZ FUR FREEDUM OV SPEECH!!!?!?!"

  • Well when it comes to stopping movie, music, boxing, etc Piracy fair enough. Tho its hard ta feel sorry for them when we get ripped off with conversion 3D, haven ta buy blu-ray cause they wont put the extras on dvd, when they half ass there movies for a quick buck, there never actually gonna have a hard life ether way, or we pay money ta watch a final boxing match thats ether fix'ed or only last 2-5 min. Your point is fair its just the fact that if it passes i can see its use being abused

  • Oh btw, I'm pretty sure they can't cripple websites whose servers are abroad and are not affected by US right. They can only let them dissappear on search engines or tell the internet providers to block them for their users.

  • I play psfree too!

  • But what if I download a film and then buy it?

  • I don't even check most times, is it or not? sounds like I better watch more wrestling/movies before this passes. I mostly watch news and documentaries. I hope that stuff stays on it would really suck if fair use goes away.

  • did he jerk off or something?

  • You've never made anything worth stealing, that's why you secretly wish the bill would pass right pothead, keep wishing you were as good as Ray because there's no target audience for sad burgerboy.

  • @VonViko

And yet you watched my video. You really $howed me.

  • @TheArchfiend I just love the way you own the haters.

  • im still waiting for an answer on why you are a vegan. personally i love meat but vegans intrigue me, it is just mind boggling to me how people have justifiable reasons not to eat bacon or ribeye steak aka foods worthy of the "gods" lol.

  • I'm screwed if they searched my computer, i watch all my movies and TV series online like you wouldent belive, same with Anime :O

  • I agree with this but, I am pretty disgusted by some of the people here if people are rich they are hated because they have money? Cry me a river you want to be just as filthy rich as them. People who try to break into the entertainment industry have a hell of a time thanks to piracy and I think they are entitled to every cent they make off their product. They made it, they put the effort in it and deserve the money from it.

  • @CrimsonStarStudios

    excellent point.

  • Archfiend your like heaps smart :D

  • I think you're not looking at the big picture here. That bill's not only for downloadable movies/music websites. It will also affects people that just use it for a single video like a dog doing some shit and the music in the background. You really think it's a good reason to close an entire website? God no. Sorry for my english, I learned from movies(no kidin')

  • Oh yeah, Congress said they aren't accepting people that oppose the bill. You cannot oppose the bill.

  • Do you know whether or not the "Fair Use" argument will be affected by this? I mean, that's why Thatguywiththeglasses hasn't been taken down yet, right?

  • @Hippieboy1547

It really depends on the final form of the bill and the judges that rule on it. So, no. No one knows for sure at this point.

  • and you care that they lost "billions of dollars"

OH NOES WHO CARES. They're like 1% less rich.

  • @liveleakTV9

I don't give a shit if they lose 10% the companies will still be filthy rich.

  • @TheArchfiend I think that was the point.

  • New YouTube update opinions? I hate it.

  • I don't see grandtheftauto5555's video response, is there a reason for that Arch?

  • @TheDemocraticSoviet

How the hell should I know you trouble making turd. Ask him. I didn't remove shit.

  • You are wrong on this.

  • @joshrocks11

Well you did a great job telling just how I'm wrong so I guess you are right. Good work, bro.

  • it is what it is what can we do? well they are our reps in congress after all, and if we say if you pass this and vote for this we will vote you out. look what happened with the tea party as an example a year ago how many congressmen and women lost their jobs. being a voter does give you at least some point of power. granted a small candle in a cave, but at least its a point of light in the darkness.

  • I would like to know why it's the governments job to monitor and take down content they feel is not in fair use (if this bill is passed).

There are many companies out there that love the way people can easily get such content off the internet because it exposes their content to a larger audience. They're okay with because they know it will create potential fans (that will support them and buy their products) that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the media being available on the internet.

  • I'm 100% against piracy but I think that its excessive to ban commentary with clips from movies or tv shows. Commentary has always been allowed under fair use, I really hope that this bill doesnt change that.

  • I wonder if you could ever have a TV show one day? Hmmm....I bet you probably know something bad about TV. So you want nothing to do with it. Time for a musical number!

    I gotta feelin. Oooooo hooooo.

That Archfiend does want to have a TV Show.

That ARCH FIEND doesn't wanna TV SHOW.

Musical over. Oh and at 16:56 Jeff Goldblum got angry and made 43 YouTube accounts to dislike this video.

  • when are u doing a video about WB7thst getting robbed....?

  • @Scampbell32

Doing what I do about him in general... not caring. At all.

  • Hello Audry.

  • These bills are really bad news, it seems corporations and government want as much power as possible. Plus, if someone watches a movie online or something like that, and if the copyright holder loses some money, don't you think the copyright owner has enough money already? Copyright holders today like UWE or WGM are BATHING in money as we speak, so if they lose a few dollars, is it that much of a big deal?

But whatever, great video anyway, Arch.

  • Oh no, poor multimillionaire companies are losing millions of dollars. Is that a valid enough reason to give them nearly full control of what we watch and do online? If that happens, the internet will never be the same again.

  • @DefaultSucks Anything cash related shouldn't be a valid reason.

  • how about your eagles lost to the cardinals back up qb

  • @multiedge22

    Who haven't they lost to?

  • Do you think James could hide behind his whole "I'm associated with SpikeTV" thing?
