Rather complicated - Pip and Emma were "P" and "M" in the First World War British signals alphabet (which is now Alpha, Bravo, Charlie etc). So since they were born just after midday they were called Pip and Emma for "p.m." - afternoon.
But Emma is also a usual girl's name, and Pip was a common short form of Philip (or Philippa)

I wish I liked this more, but they are just talking too much, and nothing exciting has happened for about 30 minutes. This is really not that great. Hannah is good, but the other characters sre not attractive, the costumes are not interesting, and the dialogue...I don't know because its too dull and I keep skipping ahead. Im glad Hicks is gone. There is no passion in this whole episode. Big Fail.

3:30 - Waitress: "And I'm not a 'peculiar'. I've always been a good C. of E." C.of E. = Church of England.

Love the way Miss Marple looks at Bunny when they are talking... those eyes look as if they could pull anything you're holding back out in the open.
