    DONT TREAD ON ME!!!!!!

  • the problem is that the Iranians were systematically disarmed eons ago. they're nothing more than targets for militaristic police and military soldiers. U bunch of idiots think that shouting one liners and political slogans are going to change ONE thing? You're deluded. Words don't change a damn thing; especially in a corrupt dictatorship like this. Americans...take note and look. It's going to be like this soon here; this is the very reason for a 1st and 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

  • Vast: they are not bunch of idots.they are people who are fed up with all the crimes ,and corruption and savagary commited and being committed by this murderous regime.what do you expect tehm to do.sit quiet and do nothing???

  • come on iranians im rooting for you guys never giveup!! hold your ground!! push them back!!

  • go iranians! keep pushing to get the real results of the election

  • let the iranian government burn to the ground....

  • fuck u

  • Obama will not make a statement in support of the protestors. Why? His defenders will say it will hurt the cause and add fuel to the dictators in Tehran. The truth is Obama and the left love to take up causes like global warming, but feel no ability, need, or authority to take moral stands on basic human rights. It is a shame but true.

  • We need an assassin for that foul president .

  • The Iranian people need two things. Lots of guns and George Washington. Washington is dead, but we can still sell them the guns.

  • The resilience and bravery in the face of such blatanet thugery is one of the most powerful images to come out of iran. Amazing.

  • Comme on guys!! We're all with you!!!!!

  • Young people from Iran ... we know what's happend in your country.

FREEDOM FOR PEOPLE OF IRAN ... IT'S TIME OF THE STREET REVOLUTION.

Death to all Dictators ! Death to the isalmic dictators

God bless all people of Iran

  • DEATH TO DICTATORS!!!Iran is feeling the wrath of its own people.Stay Strong God is walking with you all who cry for freedom.Long live the Women who lead the Fronts,Long live the men who stand up for whats right!God is Great and may he walk with the protesters as their protector! The World waits and sees!Praise God..Its time the people begin the steps to martyrdom to open the doors of freedom for the generations to Come!God is Great..Stay strong Iranians calling for freedom.Freedom is yours!

  • zappyhod. shut the hell up.

number one bush isn't president so get over it. he's done with it. stop crying.

number two it has nothing to do with "DUMB + FRANTICALLY RELIGIOUS + ELECTION = TIME FOR A RIOT" their votes were not taken in consideration. I am american, born and bred but i'm proud of the revolutionaries. They are doing what we should do when we don't like something. PROTEST! you have the right to protest... god bless those who do so.

  • Ahmadinejad is the Ayatollah's puppet.

If you actually thought Moussavi would win you are no smarter than them.

  • In America the equation is this...DUMB + PATRIOTIC = BUSH OR "ANY" ADMINISTRATION...In Tehran its DUMB + FANATICALLY RELIGIOUS + ELECTION = TIME FOR A RIOT....LOL...

  • Keep fighting Iran!! Take back tehran!!

  • Doesn't this kinda stuff happen EVERYTIME there's an election in Iran ?

  • Day by day america is inching its way more into that. I'm going to need a light saber...

    well at least a bat.

Those university students should of fought back, they had way more in numbers and black sticks arent going to phase them at all.

    That was wrong.

  • All people should be free!!

    Good luck.

  • this should show the world what the Iranian government is all about... Sad thing is that Irans president is friends with the Illuminati elites..sad day for the world and the people of Iran....

  • The cops have bats and guns....so should all of yous!

  • These policemen beat even women. I am wondering if they still have sense of humanity. What if Mousavi won? They will still serve as policemen......

Look at those captured policemen, they were scared, lost all their superior pride, and begged for mercy

I wonder what these people think. I learned it from sociology. It's just about identity

    what they make themselves believe

Don't these policemen want freedom as well? They have families as well

They are beating heroes who try to save their country

  • CNN had a reporter on the phone from iran that said he saw a policeman who was the leader of a small group of officers face a group of protestors and say something to the effect of: "i have a wife, I have children, I don't want to beat you." to me that sounds like a man who has orders and does not like them.

  • maybe now the world will understand how crazy is the iranian leader, he will do ANYTHING in order to hold on to his seat, god help these people in promoting freedom in their country

  • Brutal! Iranians for freedom, I support you! USA.

  • wear a green wristband in support of the protesters, make it yourself.

  • this is for real, worldwide supporters wear green wristbands, make yourself one and wear it .

  • They brought chants to a baton fight.

    next time, bring crow bars

  • I thought the runing of the Bulls was interesting, but this is sweet.

  • This is a messed up video foreal. That part when everybody in that whole big start running from the cops running at them is too funny honestly foreal.

  • Can you post a video of the iran/iraq war, or the israelis bombing the west bank and gaza or the USA/UK bombing of iraq/afghanistan ?

  • what?!!

  • ~ The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • "Oppressor Beware" The right to assemble is a basic human right.

  • wrong... The right to assemble should be a basic human right but it is not. It is an american right to assemble peacefully.

  • I can understand you passion to protect American sovereignty, I too feel that the United States is a Sovereign Nation, apart from other forms of government, but the U.S. Bill of Rights has set dominion over the whole world; thus, has set precedence for basic human rights. Oh yes, please next time capitalize "American."

  • justice and freedom for all !!!

Peace and Love from ,"East Los", Boyle Heights, US

  • Sad, but its good to see the people UNITE together for what they believe is best for their lives. Stay strong Iran.

  • You cheapen their struggle and insult the USA making that stupid comparison.

  • I agree whole heartedly

  • It looks like the police in Seattle, Chicago, New York, Austin, Houston, Dallas, DC, Minneapolis, etc. It gives me warm fuzzies to know how much we all have in common.

  • fuck the police!

  • Keep fighting, stand for what you believe, fight back, get organized, use any means, piano wire, fishing line to stop motorcycles, trip them, glass on the street, nails, whatever it takes, find their headquarters , attack in mass, take their guns, tear gas etc., you have the numbers on your side, overthrow them. Get organized.

  • this shit makes me so sad

    Peace! From Oregon USA.

  • marg bar regime fased va dictatiriyeh jomhoreyeh mozdore islami...

  • THE AYATOLLAH MUST GO!

  • oppressive

  • I can't imagine what kind of hollow souls would attack peaceful demonstrators, soldiers just "following orders." Its hard, very very hard, to continue to use non-violence when faced with such oppression. But it is the peacemakers, like Martin Luther King, Ghandi, and Jesus who were successful, in time, and remembered. Not the oppressors. Keep up the good fight, but keep it peaceful. The world is with you.

  • Iranian Police are total and utter cunts!!! The Iranian people should resist retaliating with violence, that would give them an excuse to shoot at everyone, give them flowers instead!!!!

  • i hope that would work...but , i really dont feel these low life have any ,human values

  • Typical response from a government that's afraid of everything. They're scared of Christianity (and every other religion) so it's prohibited. They're scared of women. They're scared of the media. They're scared of dissent. These "mullahs" are only cowardly and insecure men hiding behind the Koran. Nothing else.

  • Tian An Men much?

  • i hate 5-0

  • Students need to fight back and don't forget the fallen.Remeber what they sacraficed for freedom

  • that was badass its like a mosh pit but you got to fight to win thats metal!!!!

  • We just need to pull up stakes and get out of the Middle East. It is a whirlpool of trouble, populated by millions of people who will hate us no matter what we do...

  • you're an idiot

  • Just crazy ...

  • The incident publicly exposed the real line-up behind Mousavi that is now being played out in a factional struggle within the regime for the levers of power. While the so-called reformers like Khatami have played their role in casting Mousavi, previously known for his hard-line conservative views, as a liberal, the key powerbroker is Rafsanjani.

  • As Guardian correspondent Simon Tisdall noted, the man nicknamed the shark and the kingmaker has made no bones about helping to finance and direct Mir Hossein Mousavis campaign to topple Ahmadinejad.

  • Amid this intense factional struggle, both sides are exploiting the concerns of working people and youth for democratic rights and decent living standards to their own ends. Despite his vague promises of freedom, Mousavi is no more committed to democracy than his opponents

  • The implementation of his free market agenda, which will inevitably result in huge new burdens on the majority of working people, cannot be imposed without provoking resistance. As he did during his term as prime minister in the 1980s, Mousavi would not hesitate to use the full force of the state to enforce his policies.

  • The only social force capable of mounting a consistent struggle for basic democratic rights and an end to poverty and unemployment is the working class. The essential task is the building of a revolutionary party to mobilise workers, together with the urban and rural poor, independently of all factions of the Iranian bourgeoisie.

  • Such a movement must fight for a workers and farmers government and a socialist Iran as an integral part of the struggle for socialism throughout the Middle East and internationally.

  • The tired, failed promises and rhetoric of Marxist Socialism? Oh please! Now there's a fish that flies to the moon on wishful thinking. Socialism failed, utterly, and gave rise to the worst of all repressive regimes.

  • Actually the US response to socialism brought the most oppresssive regimes

  • Only a moron like you would bash the USA.

  • thats what you get for wanting human rights!

  • Don't TAZE ME BRO!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Iranians are a racist bunch - where are the black people? the mexicans? the blonde-haired white dudes?

  • i wish u best of luck green guys, its ur fight

  • Fuck all police.

  • pigs...

  • We r just screwed up in this region...All the regimes r the same it's dictatorship we r suffering from ...for my life why do they beat and attack people demonstrating peacefully ? don't we have the right of freedom of speech , then why do they treat us like criminals? they r announcing it's the state of human rights& freedom! well show us the freedom u r talking about or it's just an article in the constitution ...All love from Egypt & God bless every1 fighting 4 justice & freedom

  • This is what happens when a populace isn't ARMED.

I bet these riot police would think twice if they worried about a few well placed rifles in the crowd.

Yeah baby, some of you Basiji might not make it home tonight because some of you will be meeting Allah instead, before he sends you to HELL for beating innocent students.

  • if those people were armed- the basij would bring weapons and everyone their would be dead or wounded.

  • not to mention it would end up as a civil war which could take years and number of deaths would probably jump to half a million or more like the past revolutions that happened in Iran itself.

  • if they had guns there wouldn´t be any demonstrations, there would be a civil war, and that, my friend, would be a thousand times worse.

  • jesus pig-fucking christ i just watched this video from my comfy suburban home here in USA. fucking mercenaries with no souls, like robots, randomly hitting anyone they can. this is obscene. videos like this make me seriously reconsider the idea of non-violence. i'm amazed the protesters these past few days have held themselves back and not sought revenge. they are better people than i'll ever be.

  • Amazing video. I admire those students for standing their ground when they knew they were likely going to be beaten as the police got closer and closer. My thoughts and prayers go out to them and all the others who are suffering because of this sham election.

  • @emceelynx, it is speculation about seatle.. violence should be not accept for any reason everywhere in the world, we should learn from our ancêtre.. we have to work all together to put our energy at the right place for a better equilibre between all our difference.. - no one can impose his view else for defend his own liberty

  • anyone who's spent time at protests in america will recognize these police tactics, this video could have just as easily been shot in seattle in 1999 or at last year's protests against the RNC and DNC. I hope the people of iran will be more successful then we've been here!

  • there need to be done something against these violents groups...

  • HOW TO PROTECT AGAINST BATON CHARGES

RT: To defend against batons: Cut trashcans in half or use lid to protect in "roman legion formation".

Look for "roman legion formation" in google images, it's the first that comes up.

  • Step 3: make your own batons and fight back! :-)

  • exactly....and make some simple shields...and bike helmets...and FIGHT BACK...RESIST TYRANNY!!!

  • The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching!

  • Think about Eastern Europe -- and the wave of countries who overthrew their communist governments--not one of them had US intervention. The person who said people had to free themselves is correct. If we intervene, Ahminijab will start the "Death to America" riots--and Al Qaeda will cheer us on because they want to see Iran toppled (they hate the Shiites and have been trying to provoke the US to attack Iran). Iran is 4x the size of Iraq, and at last count, we don't have the troops to do it.

  • iran gets help from hezbollah (lebenon) to help fight/kill protestors........its a fact in 1979 there were CIA agents in the streets of iran that kick started the revolution for ayatollah khomeini.....the question is: the american administration are fully aware of hezbollah presence in iran but still staying quite and dont want to meddle in affairs???

  • I will say a pray for all the brave souls that are standing up for their freedom.

  • Brave People. I hope I am as brave if I need be.

  • They are, because unlike most American students they're not spoiled rich kids (by world standard) who wouldn't dare endanger their comfy lives to demand justice.

And yes when I was in college I protested and risked arrest on numerous occasions.

  • Good for you. I did one protest that I was scared of going to but I did. It was not big but I went.

This is ever so much bigger and harder to do.

  • I knew an Iranian guy who's fingers were little twisted stubs.. I thought he was born that way but he told me during the Shah's reign he avoided the draft for the war with North Yemen ('70's) and the Savak crushed all of his fingers and thumbs.

When the Ayatollah took over he fled the country and 24 hours later the "new" secret police were at his family's house looking for him. Those are the same folks in charge now.

  • I have a bit of an idea of what it is to be suppressed like that by how I grew up. But in reality most here in the USA has no clue what it is to fight for one's rights. Take it for granted.

Like let Bush did whatever they pleased. The people want it looked at and the gov is still going ho hum nothing to see here move along. Maybe this will teach us something as well. This is the first net communications for human rights ever.

  • Idiot - you named the wrong guy. Rhetoric Fail!

  • I am so proud of the Iranian people.

    - regular American student outside Washington D.C.

  • Just another video that fuels me up. Fucken evil evil. How can you do that to people that are fighting for freedom for everyone.

Stay brave. There fighting cause there scared. They know there image of invincibilty is diminished now.

  • You people are so brave, protesting with bare hands against armed forces across the street. Keep this awesome thing going. You are the inspiration to the whole world. It is horrible those things happen on regular basis on campuses during those glorious days of yours.

Also big kudos to person who didn't stop filming.

  • Power to the people

  • If you need violence to prove your point , its a point that cant be proven

    Sic Semper Tyrannis

  • This is why we have the 2nd Amendment. When and if they are able to overthrow this government, they should consider using our constitution. It is a good one, and we are not using it anymore.

  • Please educate yourself. The reason why Obama can't come out in support of the opposition is that it gives the hard liners and the IRGC an excuse to embark on a massive crackdown of dissident activity. It would destroy this movement. That isn't anything new. They have done this very thing in the past it's a long used tactic of the IR. If you ask an Iranian at these protests they will tell you Obama is doing exactly the right thing.

  • Your heart is in the right place, but this is the worst thing to do at the moment. Ahmenidijad is already trying to pin shit on "the west" and all we've done is watch and wait. If we actually did something then they would have MORE of an excuse to crack down on these people, and state run television and newspapers would go batshit insane with that propaganda.

  • Beating the shit out of the protesters is a lot better than bringing out the military and shooting the protesters. Yes, some have been shot so far, but it's mostly from the Basij which are fairly uncontrolled. If it becomes a "the west is invading" mentality then more of the heavy conservative groups in Iran will have a reason to get involved, and at the moment most of them are not.

  • If you're trying to insult Obama that's all well and good. But if you're trying to say that helping the protesters at this point in time will work then you really need to do some reading on Iran.

  • bluesmoke. you dont know what your are talking about. If Obama takes sides now, the regime will label the people "American Agents" and massacre them.

taking a stance now would be the WORSE thing US and Israel could do which is exactly what both are NOT doing. they are smart

  • you're an idiot... any overt attempt by the US to intervene, in any way, will only hurt the revolution... to be free, truly free, people have to free themselves.... You are AN IDIOT.

  • this is dead right. change has to start at the bottom, liberation cannot be imposed from outside!

  • Comment removed

  • "From Mousavi's perspective, being mildly put down by Obama shows that he's not a secret puppet of the US government. It lets him show his nationalist credentials. This defuses Supreme Leader Khamenei's main attack on the Islamist reformers." - an opinion from huffpost. Tempac and lake are right. plus being associated with the "evil" west would turn away some of the still undecided public.

  • you're just one of those idiots who hates government and thinks everything they're told has some kind of conspiracy in it. just stfu.

  • i'm pretty sorry 4 u.

  • They're chanting "la illah illallah"? Come on people. Take down that scum Ahmedinejad

  • Cowardly police versus the brave unarmed protestors. Don't give in to these thugs.
