  • Ponganle sonido a esa vaina hombe

  • subir un video de KWS sin audio es realmente una pelotudes

  • No lo subieron sin audio, le quitaron el audio ya después por copyright.

  • Ohh man,I can really get into this song.Especially the way they're bobbin their heads,oo oo and the tappin of the foot.:D

    Classic

  • FUCK WMG. If I could hear this, I might go buy it. If I can't hear it, I won't go buy it for sure!

  • WMG needs a wake up call............everbody stop buying anything connected to them for one month and they would get the message..

  • best FREE advertising an artist or record company could get ,and the scream copyright infringment! MORONS!

  • this video contains an audio track that has not been authorised by WMG. The audio has been disabled. M - What a load of Bollax

  • commies strike again

  • This stinks... I want sound.

  • Great song. I especially love the part with no sound!

Thank you very much YouTube for not allowing us to hear the original video from this DVD.

  • GodIsReal101 wtf

  • What is with removing the audio....???? Lame as f*ck! Yes I bought the CD/DVD, but I also like to watch it on you tube...

  • Me too^^, I bought the CD/DVD but sometimes i'm too lazy to look for it and put it in the dvd player, so I watch it on youtube...I believe a lot of people do this^^

  • Dammit! Where is the audio?!?!?

  • the soound quitily is amazing

  • nice post...yayaaaa

  • Thanks for preserving the history of this sound! AWESOME!!!

  • GOOD MIUSID

  • sounds good!!! really good!!!

  • NEAL PATTMAN and COOTIE STARK. . . . . the real blues

  • Anyone know what key the harmonica is in?

  • This is epic. I hope I am doing this at 60 and 70 years old.

  • START NOW...:)

  • kennys the shit!! awesome song

  • the real blues !!!!

  • To everyone who loves this(and you should) spend the money and pick up an authentic copy, not a bootleg. You get a CD that is kick ass from beginning to end, an excellent DVD full length documentary, and proceeds go to a benefit fund for old blues musicians down on their luck.

  • hi guys,

can anyone of you tell me names of the day five members? 'cause its pretty hard to find them in the net.

    thx,

    boephis

  • Derrick,

To each his own I'd say.

It's clear to see that you and me have a very different idea of what the Blues is all about.

Although I do respect your point of view,it's not mine, to say the least.

    I'm not a blues-rock fan, nor a KWS fan.

J.Bonamassa can maybe technically outplay most other guitar players, I agree on that.

But the Blues isn't about competition and being able to show off IMHO.

    It's about touching the heart.

Peter Green, for instance, does that for me Bonamassa fails to do so.

  • sry Derrick, But i agree with Bluesman. I saw him play just this summer. He's is good, he can jam, but he has no feeling. Blues is speaking through a guitar, not just playing it. Joe somewhat lacks in the latter statement.

  • jbruggs and bluesman are dead on. i couldnt have said it any better.

  • Joe Bonamassa?! Hahahah!You wish!

He's all technique, but has not the slightest bit of feeling for the Blues in him.

The Blues doesn't ask for 'technicians. Playing less notes(but the ones that count!) is more!

Good name though 'Massa, he does it honour since he overdoes (and overdoses) everything he plays.

If you're happy with that, fine with me, evryone is entitled to have his own taste of course.

But a reaction like"Joe Bonamassa OWNS KWS"is over the top too IMHO.

  • BluesmanDizzy: If you actually believe in your mind (denail, apparently) that KWS is better than Joe Bonamassa, then go on believing that, because most everyone knows that Kenny isn't in Joe's league! And he isn't. Joe has been compared to the likes of SRV, Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix and he's only 31 years old.

It's quite apparent that Joe is the future of blues. Even Ted Nugent said that!

Kenny doesn't come close to Joe, and you know it.

  • ive never heard anyone compare joe to srv and jmh. if ted did that it only hurts him (besides, ted isn't blues, especially w/ those lame 8 gauge wussy strings.) yor trying too hard to make yor point. if you need to really on quotes, quote bbking when he said kws is the man as far as blues goes. without taking anything from joe- he`s damn good- he`s no kws, forever.

  • This is a GREAT song. I LOVE KWS, but damn this is awesome with or without him. This song makes me want shake it everytime I hear it. Great playin' and even better singing! Sending some love from KWS' hometown of Shreveport.

  • When did KWS get so flippin' HOT? I had remembered him as he looked as a teen, at the beginning of his career. Boy grew up FINE.

But I love skinny white boys in general, so I might be biased.

  • LMFAO

  • he has the best voice ever

  • this video is awesome.....simple as that

  • Ha! Only the white guy is going to have holes in his trousers!

Soo.... which one is Kenny, which is Wayne, and which is Sheppard?

Or, more to the point, who are the other two muicians? Don't they get a mention too?

Thanks Marshall333 for the answer (see below)

  • really cool song ! whole dvd is brilliant as well !

  • VEEEEERY NICE....

  • just dropped on this, can anybody tell me the names of these two black guys, i'm guessing kenny is the white man. is this a one off performance or is this the band

  • Off Kenny's site here's their names:

    DAY FIVE

    Hillsborough, North Carolina

    Cootie Stark

    Neal Pattman

  • you answer my question thank you!

  • cheers mate. gonna look them up, im liking wot i hear

  • I dont remember which ones, but a few of them passed away shortly after they recorded everything. I have the DVD/CD set, Ill look at it and post again.

  • un maestro los 3 desde arg t digo eternamente bluseros gracias al q puso este video c nota q sabe mucho. blues not dead!!!

  • Thanks for the feedback.

I thought the harp in key of A was the answer however being a rookie I couldn't break-down the song on my A-harp.

Any harp players out there that can help us out?

Cheers all and I agree this is a really enjoyable video.

  • cant stop listening to this.

    man its good

  • outstanding!

    woah!!!

    *****

  • old school... boy....just love it!!!

  • Absolutely top!!!!!

  • desde argentina sopleteblues me encanto el tema un verdadero blues nunca hace mal al corazon

  • Hi Folks.

Do you think Neal is playing a harp in the key of "A"?

  • I've played along on guitar in the key of E

  • I think the guitar may be in E and if you play the harp in A the crossnote is E at the 4th hole so I think you are both right

  • datemi il testoooooooooo!!!!

  • saved to my "real blues" list.

  • I was lucky enough to be there when this was shot. Neal and Cootie were two very special guys and are very much missed. Also, whoever stole my camera that day, you can go ahead on and keep it!

  • I got to go to this concert in Austin - Pine Top Perkins and some other legends performing with KWS. It was truly awesome. So lucky that someone like KWS was willing to go out and find these guys and play for them. Simply incredible.

  • Sorry! I clicked on the wrong side.. dumbass me!

I agree with you.. I think it takes a special talent to recognize how worthwhile and important these other legends and their music is..

  • True...Love his song Blues Deluxe, but...compare the age of performers...Kenny is a young man compared to the Joe....

  • Actually Joe is a younger than Kenny by about a month and a better guitarist, but then that's just my opinion

  • Man, I was digging blues before, but Kenny is a true revelation....And that harp player ( Neal Big Daddy Pattman ) is the living proof of Blues.....

  • An even better revelation is Joe Bonamassa.

  • Holy crap!! This is awesome!!! Please someone post the lyrics!!

  • every morning, bout the break of day Pick and shovel in my hand Prove to the warder im some natural man Dont nothing hurt me but my back and side Dont nothing worry me but my wife and child Six months on the road it aint no time I got one and ninety nine Working on the road you know its mighty sad Why big daddy have to be so bad Dunno what the other dude is saying but the main singer just sings this. x
  • caint even get a drink a water i remember that..thats what i got out of him ahhahha...great song man

  • ROCK ON KWS..AND FRIENDS.. ;)..Loko

  • Favoloso!!! Ha il blues nel sangue!!!

  • That is one talented harp player!

  • This is just wonderful in every way

  • I think that KWS compliments Neal Pattman and Cootie Stark really well and it's thanks to his dvd release of "10 Days Out" that their music and that of the others featured have found a whole new audience.

Just a pity that so many of them passed on shortly after the release - but treasured memories none the less.

    Great

  • i agree. as a growing blues listener myself, this album opened me up to many musicians.

  • nice :)

  • You boys haven't been exposed to enough of the blues...I sincerely hope you check out, Roy Buchanan, Albert Collins, Lonnie Mack, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, The Kinsey Report, Alvin Lee, Deep Purple...

  • deep purple?.......what an idiot!

  • deep purple?.......what an idiot!

  • Yes Deep Purple. Not all of their stuff...check out She's Lazy off of Machine Head.

  • I sure hope "10 Days out" shuts up some of KWS's critics on YouTube. None of them will ever get to do anything close to what he has done here. I rented the video on netflix and had to buy it the next day. I didn't even know who Neal or Cootie or Etta where before this. Well done, KWS...and thanks!

  • I know that. I was saying names of people on the cd that have passed away. I didnt use the correct punctuation, hence you read it wrong.

  • Im glad he did the cd "Ten Days Out", if he hadnt several of the artist of the cd would never of been heard by most of the public, they died not long afterwards. Gatemouth, one of the two in this video and several others died also.

  • Just to let you know, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown is not in this particular video. The one-armed harp player is Neal Pattman, and the guitarist right of him is Cootie Stark. Gatemouth does show up later in the song "Born in Louisiana"

But that's definitely true, if KWS hadn't of made this, 4-5 of them wouldn't have been heard

  • Similar and worth a listen...

Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee - Hootin' the Blues

I'll Take Care of You - Etta James

If this suits you, respond in kind and I'll look thru my stuff for some real soul stirrers. Ever heard Dog Boy?

  • man just great old school shit

  • haha kenny doesnt look like he belongs there

  • bvvvvhahahaha ya got a point he's like 500 years younger and blond no less ahahahhhhaaaaa

  • and hes white. the most obvious difference. he deffinitly DOES belong there though

  • oh i defently agree if werent for him this would not have been made struck me funny how ya put that then i thought about it and couldnt stop laughin man funny shit when you step back and look, even his guitar stands out lol..........

  • Goto Blue Mountain Artists to see some of the blues acts you see here and more.

  • These guys are the Bomb! come and check some of our shit out if you are a blues fan.

  • The guitarist is Cootie Stark, the harp player/singer is Neal "Big Daddy" Pattman

It's a damn shame that the person who posted this didn't give proper credit. These cats are legends.

  • harp players is the dogz bollockz bud

  • this is so damn good

  • this is so damn good!!!

  • Damn... KWS sounds so much better with this cat singing... for some reason, the KWS band's lead singer sounds like an uber-douchebag to me.

  • I think I have listened to this song five times a day. Love it

  • this is fucking dope.....

  • I know! I just bought Neal Pattmans CD (Prison Blues) really Southern Blues vib. Love It.

  • This is awesome. The harp player is sick. Neal Pattman, never heard of him. I gotta do some more research. Kenny did a good job of finding the best obscure guys.

  • Just love this song. Does anybody know where to find the lyrics. I'm still having to play it at least once a week.

  • Off Kenny's site here's their names:

    DAY FIVE

    Hillsborough, North Carolina

    Cootie Stark

    Neal Pattman

correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's who they are.

  • This is right. Neal Pattman is the one closest to Kenny blowing the harp.

  • I'm sure you're right. This video is mistitled; Kenny Wayne is in a supporting role to the two older bluesmen, who should be named. Greg! Please right this wrong! At bare minimum, name all three players in your video description.

  • holy shit. Hillsborough, NC? That's like 3 miles from here. Thanks for that info.

  • wow you should hear those dogs barking from your house then...lol. Lucky You!

  • soo cooooooollll.ah memories.........

  • who are the black folks? They are awesome... I wish that I could find some more videos of the playing..

  • He is awsome at 13ys old he jams for 5 hours in the blue festival in lousiana jam was awsome

  • this is fucken awesome str8 up blues

  • man this is great soul and more soul deep roots here very cool!

  • I would also love to have the lyrics, its soooo good. I have to play this video every now and again, in fact I was humming it all afternoon at work today. Love it.

  • why does kenny always look so stuck up, if i was playing with great people like that my last worry would be about my hair and if it were straight ironed enough

  • What a stupid comment.

  • sounds beautiful love it

  • Beautiful.. Just Beautiful (The Music Ofcorse)

  • Just that holler type intro is so deep south blues that's just salt of the earth vibe. Outstanding!

  • that is some mean ass Deep southern blues!whew shit! love it !it is just dirty ,stank dirty! yesss...

  • Why'd big daddy have to be so bad!

I know that I have already commented on this one but...

  • Kenny is a little to loud in the mix.

  • does someone know where I can find the lyrics of this song and the album's generally?

  • Man I can't figure them out. Have you found the lyrics yet?

  • well i found a song similar to this one if you're interested at it-and i found its lyrics in a blues forum {sadly i don't remember the link} - it is called "prisoner's plea" and it's performed by an artist called billy boy arnold- these two songs got similar lyrics- check it out :)

  • I understood every word, but I guess growing up in Tennessee would help. More folks should come down south for a little while. You'll pick up on the accent in no time.

  • Such a simple song... but wow! It sounds so good.

  • oh man love it has got such a sweet groove love them blues that tell a story.

  • This is a dandy little tune!

  • I am a metal fan but i love this style music. Fuckin great.

  • Total and complete brilliance.

  • Great Song.. Great Guy. Blue on Black by KWS is one of my favs! but this rocks

  • I'd like to learn this song for guitar. Can anyone help me? Another question, who are those two guys Kenny Wayne Sheppard is playing with?

    Thanks,

    Drew

  • That's Cootie Stark & Neal "Big Daddy" Pattman he's playing with. This is the 1st song off the KWS Album, "10 Days Out - Blues From the Backroads"... worth getting coz it comes with a dvd of live performances (including this one).

  • this guy is fuckin awesome!! i saw him live last night,( he opened for lynyrd skynyrd ) i had never heard of him before but he BLEW MY MIND. he plays guitar like some hybrid of hendrix and stevie ray vaughn. WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!! HE IS GOING PLACES!!

  • great that u like him, but he's been around a while. cut his first record i think '94, 16 at the time.SRV picked him out of a concert once, at seven years old, and let him sit on his amp case for the show. rest is history. i think he's better live. looks like he was born with a guitar in his hands.

  • me too, saw him at the winery in murphy's. i can't get enough of him!

  • sweet back to the roots of it all timeless love it love it

  • This is great I wish mainstream radio stop putting crap the call music on and bring back great music.

  • thank YOU...at least somebody still cares about MUSIC.

  • I agree thousand-fold. So refreshing to hear good music.

  • i agree..mainstream music is insulting to true musicians like these 3.

  • man that harp rocks!

  • Hot man, hot

  • Damn! Ain't nobady got nothin' ta' say? Honey, KWS can lay it down! D~

  • evEry mOrnIn bOut tHa BReAk o dAy .. ..

  • I wouldn't be able to thank Kenny Wayne enough for making this cd/dvd. Many people who own KWS albums have never heard of many of the people on this cd. He made a record that will allow this music to be exposed to so many people.

  • Back to the roots of blues.

  • I aggree with Wadems. He is a lot like SRV, but nobody can be completely like SRV. I play a lot of SRV, Check out my videos.

  • Will see him tomorrow at the KFOG Kaboom (check out the KFOG radio station site after that, should be a video of some of it).He is for sure going to highlight a lot of this latest release.

  • This guy is next best closest thing to S.R.V., without the vocals - which is a lot. There is no substitute to SRV.

  • Wow! These guys are great! Would love to hear all the rest of this video.

  • good for KWS

  • kenny wayne shepherd rules

  • i saw kenny wayne recently, i wasnt a fan of his, i'm still not, but the ticket price was worth it to see my heroes hubert sumlin and pinetop perkins

  • I want to say its awesome... but im pretty sure that would be a HUGE understatement! ;)

  • this is music thank fuck that this is still about i agree with what the guy says about shit on television

  • This clip will most likely out last all of us. It's so simple in its structure but I find myself coming back to it again and again

  • actually can't believe stuff is being dropped like this today... man makes me sad to see shit like Timberlake on the Tele.

  • He is goin on tour with some of these guys. It's called "blues form the backroads tour".

  • I'm catching that tour in Vegas on the 24th,REALLY looking forward

  • when did the DVD come out?

  • it came out at the end of january

  • Fantastic Video, see the entire DVD of Kenny Wayne Shepherd on sale now. Well worth the money. Some of the greatest Blues Artists to be found anywhere are in this DVD. Great Work Kenny. Thanks

  • Superb!

  • Wow, very nice. Many thanks man...D~

  • Classic all the way. These guys are in their eighties!!! One is blind and the other has one arm. Incredible. Kicks-ass.
