Second one the cartoonist figured he must used to be a house cat, because he's not afraid of the vacuum( she rescued him from the street). Street cats are afraid of vacuums.
So she thought she can play a joke on him, gently hit him with the vacuum. He freaks out and start running. They still don't know if he was a house cat or not, but he sure is energetic.
