  • One bad ass engine

  • I want an LSX454 in my Holden HSV GTO coupe! Aussie :)

  • i want an LSX in my 02 camaro!!

  • I want an LSX in my R6

  • what does LSX stand for

  • Comment removed

  • @Myka138 na bud, that would just be a low battery. The starter from the original 427 to this 454 isn't going to change. Take care bud.

  • C5s and C6s are so well put together and designed that they look badass even without a hood..."officer i swear i bought it like this!"

  • people do know that boosting a engine is just a form of increasing the displacement right?

  • @bigflip707 when you say "boosting", are you referring to turbo/superchargers?

  • @MrChevyBird supercharging and turbos both increase the amount of air into the same amount of space. When using the definition of engine displacement as "the total volume of air/fuel mixture an engine can draw in during one complete engine cycle" ,boosting is just a form of increasing the displacement of the engine by increasing the pressure in the intake to above atmospheric pressure.

  • @bigflip707 overall i thinking boosting is any device that can increase vacuum of a engine to over say over 4 psi. the reason i say that is because some of the ram air intakes have been known to push 1 or 2 psi of boost

  • @bigflip707 wow, look bud, u just showed your ignorance live on youtube. U have absolutely "NO" idea what the term DISPLACEMENT means. Thats a typical ricer answer AKA "MORON"! Displacement is the size of the block bud. Power adders, ADD AIR NOT DISPLACEMENT. Kinda where the saying, "There's NO replacement for Displacement" comes from. Not to be rude, but dog gone bud, here let me help u. Engine displacement is determined from the bore & stroke of an engine's cylinders. Take Care bud

  • @bigflip707 How old are you? How much experience do you have with cars? Wow bud. You can NOT increase the size of a block nor the cylinders by pushing air into it. That's the dumbest answer I've ever heard. Are you a cartoonist? You can only push in so much air into something before you find it's breaking point. That's known as pressure you moron. Get the heck off youtube, you're making a complete dumbazz out of yourself. wow youngster...

  • @MrChevyBird. answer the question then. you are not increasing the bore or stroke but rather the volume inside the cylinder. fuck you are one dumb SOB im not gonna deal with your stupidity. keep thinking that huge displacement can fix anything.

  • @bigflip707 hahahahahahaha you're too easy...And yet u still can't except the truth youngster LMAO.... You're youtubes BIGGEST and most IGNORANT MORON LMAO. HIT THE BOOKS YOU FLAMING IDIOT LOL. It's all right there lol Stupid ricer lmao

  • @bigflip707

you may not be using the terminology correctly, but you have the general idea. you're talking "volumetric efficiency". the problem with VE is that a 2L engine is always 2L. you can say a turbo engine has 200% VE, but technically you can't have higher than 100%. we engine designers use something called "delivery ratio" to indicate the MASS of air/fuel that gets trapped in a cylinder.

the most ignorant people seem to be the most vocal!

  • @MrChevyBird for a simple example say you have a 2.0L engine. natural aspirated it will take in 2.0L of air. If you boost that same engine to 1 BAR or 14.5 psi you effectively double the amount of air going into that engine so now your 2.0 L engine is now shoving in 4.0 L of air in theory. There are many other variables such air tempter, elevations ect that can change it , but overall booting is just a form if increasing displacement

  • @bigflip707 wow bud...please delete your comments. Seriously bud. You could not be more wrong. Let someone who deals with cars & engines on a daily basis help u before u hurt yourself, since u r just taking the word of ricers instead of checking into it yourself. Hit the books... Here is a start bud...Engine displacement is determined from the bore and stroke of an engine's cylinders. The bore is the diameter of the circular chambers cut into the cylinder block.

  • @bigflip707 "the replacement for displacement is technology"...WHAT??? You're a F**KING IDIOT!!!!!!!!! Once again for the ricer, Increasing air flow ONLY increases air flow. The ONLY way to increase displacement is by switching to a bigger block, bigger heads or taking your existing heads, etc to a MACHINIST you MORON.

  • @MrChevyBird il make it simple for you. the new ford 302 400 hp 302 cubic inches. the 302 from the 80s 225hp same old 302 ci and guess whats the difference??? the technology and engineering of the engine.. you are one dumb SOB there are a lot of different things that affect a engine power then displacement. another example your might 454 from the mid 70s making 250hp our of 7.4 liters, thats just full of fail right there

  • @bigflip707 hahahaha wow was that a serious question there youngster??? LOL. You know you COULD do the research yourself and figure it out. OR you could take other idiots word for it like your ricer butt buddy laying next to you in the bed lol... But here, once again I'll do it for you dumb shiz...different block, different heads, different cylinders, different intake, different camshaft timing, different compression ratio, etc etc etc... You're an idiot lol

  • @bigflip707 Here ricer, let me teach u something. Read these FACTS I've wrote just for u before u hurt yourself. STOP listening to your buddies, they're just as dumb as you...Engine displacement is the "volume" swept by all the pistons inside the cylinders of an internal combustion engine in a single movement from top dead centre to bottom dead centre. This is known as litres or cubic inches. Engine displacement does NOT include the total "volume" of the combustion chamber. Geez kid

  • @MrChevyBird wow... i just gonna stop wasting my time with you, cause you believe you know everything about engine and you are to ignorant to believe anyone else. if you cant understand the concept that if you double atmospheric pressure you will effectively double the volume of gas in a fixed volume then maybe you need to hit the books yourself. but hey believe what you want, i dont think i can care less about what you think

  • @bigflip707 hahahahaha because you're such a dumb F**k you make this extremely easy LMAO... what are you 12??? I mean geez, all you have to do is learn how to READ LOL ...The only thing today's "technology" has done is add power and fuel economy while using the same, less or more DISPLACEMENT... Stupid ricer lol Tell your dad, if you know your dad, to quick screwing his sister, aka you mother. YOU are the outcome...MORON. Now piss off DuMb F**k and go "R.E.A.D."

  • @bigflip707 You are talking of a technical aspect/jargon as if it should be the way the language is spoken. There is no other displacement like displacement. No booster or power adder adds displacement. They might mimick succesfully or unsuccesfully, the effects of more displacement. But they add no more displacement. Therefore, 2L with 1 bar boost is not equal to, by any means, to 4L. Because 4litres is just 2liters more than 2liters. It is not 1 bar or 14.5psi more. Got it?

  • is that the small big block 454?

  • LOL the starters having trouble turning that monster over .

  • I like it

  • Imagine this baby with a turbo @ 20 psi... monster power.

  • Anybody notice how greasy / dirty his hands are, sitting in a brand new corvette? I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I wouldnt want dirty hands on a brand new stearing wheel....

  • @yobrehwheredagreen what do you drive?

  • cant beat my 90 crx twin turbo 30lb boost i hit 550 whp and 415 trq on the dyno, also has a 2,500 dallor body kit.

  • @RedResurrections really dude? I'm sure your crx is at its peak running 30lb boost. do you have any Idea was a LSX motor is capable of? MUCH LESS a 454... the crate 454 is conservative... with just a small amount of spray or very few lbs of boost it will walk your crx lol. Find someone with different head and cam setup of that 454, plus some boost, prepare for rape lol I'm sure your crx is bad ass and has some great numbers but you wont compete witht his lol C6 is an awesome platform

  • @r3d70tvhs it was a joke lol i'm an LTx guy, love the lsx power.

  • @RedResurrections Lmao sorry... its just I want a lsx 454 in my goat haha and some ricer comment just flew all over me and caused me to freak out :P

  • @r3d70tvhs It looks like this LSX 454 would be the newer-tech replacement for the 572 crate motor, which also makes 620hp stock-out-of-the-box. Smaller and lighter is always good. With 7000rpm, pump gas, and lots of potential for easy horsepower upgrades (supercharger, porting), this looks like a winner. I'm having thoughts of building one of these to about the 800-850hp range, and dropping it into a '96 Corvette. Heck, just box-stock, with 620 hp, it would make a old Vette fly!

  • @ThatMiserableCat

Buddy, even stock ZO6 runs fast, and ZR1. Love both Vettes.

  • @RedResurrections lol fag

  • @yoyoappled lol loser

  • An rx8 will never sound this good

  • Me likie!

  • No turbochargers, no superchargers, no bottles. Just displacement with a fat cam.

  • thats crazy. i would be happy the rest of my life with the stock ls7! This is just another level lol.

  • I want the motor!

  • NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT BABY!

  • @HATEIPODS yes there is...it's called BOOST ;)

  • @HATEIPODS The NSX disagrees.

  • 720hp nice!

  • @stratdude83 720 hp in 720p ... very nice!

  • very nice sound!

  • thats a very expensive intake. prob time to convert to 24V cranking system lol

  • Mmmmmm, pretty.

  • Nice!
