Keep pushing to get it removed, in the meantime, for yourself, get a filter. The type will depend if you have your own house(then you can filter all the water coming in) or if you rent, then filter at the point of use. Whatever you do, at least minimize the amount you are taking in and get the word out.

If your mind is racing along but you just cannot seem to get the words out in coherent sentences, you have too much fluoride and/or mercury in your system. Iodine will remove both. One for chlorine and vog's, etc. and one strictly for fluoride, but ultimately getting fluoride out of the water supply is the way to go. I currently live in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, the equivalent to your Washington, so of course, completely corrupt and the fluoride put in the water here is hydrophlorosic acid(not even close, not bothering to look up spelling),

I've found that my houseplants love filtered water, fluoride inhibits plant growth. When I switch to giving them only filtered water, they stopped dying on me. Fluoride accumulates.
