  • hey thats super cool, but we are wondering why you dont do this for a living? why not build real houses for people?

  • @boodahsnacks 1. I plan on going to college and maybe become an architect or engineer or something like that, not a blue collar job preferably, and 2. I'm 15 years old :P

  • omg i made it took me 6 months but i did:)

  • @dontiono1 yeah not really i wish:(

  • OMG i just love that house it's amazing.oh i just love it.Awesome job.

  • @sartimber Thanks man

  • you are the master!!!

  • Dude,That's pretty cool.I've been I Carpenter/Tradesman over 35 year's Any novice that can use their Imagination,That how Idea's are created Inventing a new formula.But wait,Now you'll have to build the furniture ,LOL...good luck,have fun.

  • @PathfinderMac Thanks!! You do it as a job, I do it for fun lol.

  • @TheMrFinneth what are the lights for your house i want to buy some but i dont know what kind of lights they are or what brand. please tell me! thank you

  • @Powerhouseladies I'm sorry I wish I could help you. I was looking for packages from the lights the other day and I must have thrown them all out. I can't remember the details of them. All I know is that I got them from a doll house shop, there were 5 in each pack, and each pack was 15 bucks. I have a video on how I did the lighting but it is very basic. If you watch the time lapse, you can see my dad did most of the wiring, I just did small stuff like soldering.

  • have you made/going to make a tutorial on how to do the ceiling yet?

  • @123joe43 There is a tutorial series stared on my channel right now. The next video will be how to do structural beams, then how to do interior siding/drywall, then how to do a second story and/or ceiling, and so on

  • @TheMrFinneth Thank you. I have been thinking for the longest time of building a popsicle house but so far, I have built a bridge lol.

  • do you have the plan # for the house

  • @bowlinsc /house-plans/epl/styles/european-house-plans/french-country/hwepl08214.html

add this after the eplans . c0m address.

  • @123joe43 In the future, im really busy right now

  • I've been looking for something to build. This inspired me to do one of my own. This is great, man. I've been checking out some models and I haven't quite been able to make up my mind. I think I'll just kind of wing it, then throw lights in thanks to you. Again, awesome job! Oh yeah, do you have any general advice before I start?

  • @tylerwindish Awesome, all I can say is just have fun, realize that you will make a million mistakes and mess a bunch of stuff up (I messed up tons of stuff on this house lol) but don't let that get you frustrated. Also, if you get stuck and don't know how to do something, try to learn how a carpenter would do it on a real house and try that.

It's okay to wing it but I would plan out all the electrical before hand. "throwing the lights in" is not a good idea haha you should have a plan

  • @TheMrFinneth Hahaha. When I said "wing it, then throw the lights in," I didn't mean just that. I meant in the planning I was gonna come up with .. for the most part, my own model, with lights. I wouldn't just "wing it" for something that takes this long. Thanks for your input though!

  • Another question, how will you move this model out of ur room?

  • @thatjellyfish It's light enough for one person to carry, but you have to tilt it on it's side to fit it out the door

  • wow. just watched all of ur vids of this house. You got me wanting to do the same thing(not that exact house though). Just have a question, where do u get ur plans? And i been thinking when i do i'll do it a little diffrently, instead if using popsicals for the inside siding(walls as i put it) i would use plywood and paint it ike wallpaper, ect. This way when i use the lights no lights will escape or go in through the walls.

  • @thatjellyfish Awesome, what do you mean by plywood though? Real plywood? Also, light getting through the cracks isn't a problem believe it or not (As long as both sides of the wall have siding). I get IDEAS for plans from eplans.com but I make the measurements myself

  • dude this is so fucking cool i watched all the videos for this series today and its awesome. im gonna make something like this some day.

  • @jian2069 Haha thanks. The house should be done in mid November

  • cool man! have you ever used floorplan 3d7?

  • @movieshop1000 Never heard of it. Is it free?

  • @TheMrFinneth not sure, I have it on cd, but it is a 3d house designing software-very easy, I highly recomend it-I use it all the time

  • @movieshop1000 Thanks! I'll look it up

  • @TheMrFinneth youtube does not have much at all on floor plan 3d7, you might have to look up the software on an other site-
