  • don't b afraid of the, Muppets ,all they want is your soul

  • i use to love the Muppets when i was little.

  • wow! sounded like the audience was clapping so hard they where standing up!

  • You know, there were times when the muppet performers disturbed me. This was one of those times. XD

  • The Mupppets equal genius!

  • That f'ed up version of big bird creeps me out.

  • @JonnyboyFromJAR dude it creeps me out too!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, didn't see that for a long time, but i still make dreams about this song and Leo Sayer dancing like a possessed guy.

  • thank God for cable television. This is what we were subject to when there were only 4 major television stations

  • to be honest i never really thought that rocks had a sense of humour??

  • what's the movie called? i had this on tape but i lost it

  • someone just got a SWIFT kick in the nuts

  • Richard Simmons twin brother

  • ^^ I LOVE the Muppets.

  • estimated?

  • Pass the eye bleach please?

  • who knew rocks had humor?

  • My mom loves it when guys sing in falsetto like this... lol

  • Real good music for real good people!

  • I have loved this song since it first came out, reading the comments reminds me of when Elvis first started on the Ed Sullivan Show and the network wouldn't allow him to be shown in full. Only from waist down. Also reminds me of Alan Freedman and the start of Rock n' Roll. All the negativity about music and the kids. LOL What goes around comes around.

  • I like this!!!

  • Thanks Youtube for those great finds.....like this one I also like

    Mo'Sean "Give you my soul"

  • Leo Sayer was NEVER rock'n'roll! lol Disco shmuck, maybe ... pop artist, at best.

  • @ZellerX Actually by defintion both Disco and Pop are categorized as Rock n Roll. The defintion is pretty broad.

  • @JayKay62969 not in my world! ha ha There is definitely a distinction between rock n roll and rock, these days and I think it follows that the distinction between r/n/r and pop/disco is pretty clear. And if the dictionaries of the world do not reflect this, theya re woefully lacking :)

  • @ZellerX Oh, I don't disagree w/ you but the mainstream media is using the much broader definition.

Rock n Roll - a style of popular music that derives in part from blues and folk music and is marked by a heavily accented beat and a simple, repetitive phrase structure.

    See, pretty broad, huh?

  • @JayKay62969 Yup! So broad as to be inaccurate. The only way to change those dictionaries is to keep the distinction and discussion alive until those that write and edit those dictionaries catch on and make the changes. :) It takes a while but it does happen.

  • The music that comes out now sucks donkey balls. I feel like dancing to good music like from the 40's 2 to the early 80's all other music sux but crap rap and death metal are the worst noise i ever heard. Anyone who doesn't like it can go suck eggs.

  • @knightmonx can i still suck eggs if i agree with u?

  • @fagAshLil1234 well alright but just them smoothies, it's easier to suck the egg up through the straw that way

  • Jake loves this!

  • Ouch. Painful.

  • i love this song

  • I love that dancing bird. I think he might be a better dancer than Leo.

  • Terrifying.

  • Leo kills the vocals here. I'm sure he's not singing live, but still...great vocals!

  • why not search out the song without a muppett presence ~! this is one of I would say the greatest hits in the disco age ~~Most of you pukes dunno when that was ... so why bother to bad mouth shit you cant understand ? Music has changed a lot from back in the day to Hannah Montana ~! ... and this doesn't even scratch the surface ~!

  • @MrBornbadd You attitude I think assumes that your generation's music is superior. That would be the same error that you charge the Hannah Montana age with doing. Not I am not saying mine is superior (which i have not said what mine is). I am just pointing out your hypocritical comment.

  • @FreeThoughtSolution my attitude lmao ....who asked you Jr ? and Of course my generations Music is superior to the mindless dribble the kids are into these days ~!! do you have a problem with someone stating their opinion ??? or are you from some third world nation where people get shot for that ??

  • @MrBornbadd Jr? Funny. Who asked you for your opinion? Your free to share but not i? Yet another example of your hypocritical nature. I was stating that you were doing the same as the people you were complaining about, though I feel you may not be able to see that. When one resorts to name calling, I feel any real points will be lost in this juvenile act. I assumed since you seemed to be an adult one could point out such things. I do admit i was wrong in my assumption.

  • @FreeThoughtSolution dude are you that bored with your life that you want to go on a debate mission on a music video ?? shouldn't you be poking on your face book ? your basically calling a complete stranger a hypocrite . your judging someone on comments left on a music video , you have no idea who I am...but calling someone a hypocrite isn't Like name calling at all is it ..your solutions do not really solve anything at all do they ? lmao if you think your comments matter to me at all they dont

  • lol :leo IS my main muPPeT_man !!!

  • ummm i'm not really feelin the live version. that kinda sucked. i had high hopes for this.

  • I was thinking Richard Simmons of music

  • OK lip syncing but it sounds like its to a diana ross record.

  • I love this video. though the green bird really looks like a Muppet version the bird from little Nicky or was that bird a demon version of the Muppet?

  • The muppets are freakin beast. You guys are just haters.

  • i shit myself in fear.

  • @RipJack645 this comment seriously just made my day XD

  • ¡Que viajado! XD

  • yeah!!!!

  • i use to love the muppets when i was little.

  • lol i fuckin love the bird thing

  • did he lip sync this so he can dance?

  • nooooooooooooooo .......

  • Yeah, you can tell as soon as he starts singing, When he says "got" his mouth is wide open.

  • love him good voice

  • L.O.L I love the muppets too!

  • people in the masks are sorta scary

  • ya they are

  • you would have to pay me a lot of money to wear a costume like that and dance....like that!

  • Me da la misma sensación de cantante "en bajada" que cuando "Los Enanitos Verdes" aparecieron en el "Show de Xuxa".

    Saludos

  • so?? it's doesn't matter. neo's version is the best ;]

  • Leo sang it first. Neo just copied Leo

    Leo > Neo

  • Certainly an...interesting show, but I love the song

  • yo vi en musco show on de leo sayer nose como es este

  • He can't dance, but who cares, the song's awesome

  • I LOVE THE MUPPETS

  • XD I love this song. lol. "Oh, look! A rock with no sense of humor. Get out of here." *Push* lol.

  • Ja ja ja

cagado cómo el wey se anda cuidando de los aletazos del pájaro!!

  • im kinda attracted to the big bird for some reason

  • you would be attracted like that

  • This brings back childhood memories............that was a good performance.

  • This song is a classssssic!!

CHeck out our version performed live in random shops!! lol~ You will love it!

  • he creeps me out

  • Love this song... first saw it on my daughter's wiggle show. The new season. However, I think he is lip syncing this particular performance. All that jumping around, no skip in his voice... and the accoustics sound great in the background... so where is the mike??? Either way, a really cool song.

  • Unless it's a live performance, songs are recorded in studio for television and movies.

  • And here's a news flash-- The Muppet Band isn't really playing their instruments live, either.

    OF COURSE HE'S LIP SYNCING!!!

  • Perms and suspenders, its so 70s

  • o i ♥ this song! i got this dvd (season 3) for my mom 4 christmas and i saw this and im like "I HAVE 2 FAVE THIS ON YOUTUBE!"

  • Wow! Curly perms. I'll just leave it at that.

  • the stars actually lined up to get on the muppet show.

  • he can dance!!!

  • Sweet - its awesome the number of superstars teaming up with the muppets - are they paid to do so? if they do it voluntarily, that will be sweeter.

  • I watched this episode just last evening! Leo, the Lion (he used to be called) was terrifically entertaining on the show.

  • Man, I loved being a kid back then.

  • Ótimo, Leo Sayer

  • omg....I remember this from when I was a kid....I loved this skit and song. Every time I hear this song I think of the Muppets!

  • vasarab I couldn't agree more. I can only assume that he put qiute a bit of himself into this song, and to have this?

  • I wonder if he ever thought to himself "my career as a serious artist came to this?" or " i want people to look at me as a serious artist"

  • The list of "Serious Artists" who clammered to appear on the Muppet Show, or Sesame Street, is incredible...

  • This song makes me happy! :)

  • fantastic videoand great song

  • what a bloody good song it makes me feel like dancing

  • beautiful song!

    Year 1,978

  • He can still sing in that high voice today! Check out the muppets singing in the background.

  • his voice sounds better in this than some other versions on youtube lol

  • wow....i grew up with this song and have just recently found out that this song is by a man...for the last 15 years of my life i've believed this person was female with the high pitched voice and whatnot....my dad wasn't lieing

    0_0;;

  • geweldig liedje ... en dan nog die knotsgekke muppets er bij ;-)

  • Funky white boy!

  • Great song...

Guys..you know where to download this song??

    pls reply my comment ASAP..thx^^

  • This Dude looks like Adam Sandler and that dude from Back to school. Kieth Gordon.

  • If you listen closely to Leo, you can hear some Michael jackson in his singing voice and this was before Michael huge and adult.

So Michael sounded a bit like Leo.

  • ahhh... disco and the muppets, my kind of combo!

  • A funny looking guy but the song is great, a fantastic catchy tune

  • I feel like crying when I see this. It takes me back and it's wonderful and sweet.

  • madd

    =]..

    xxx

  • ....forget matt damon!...CLEARLY leo is the sexiest man alive....unless, of course, you consider the frog....

  • looool

  • ...we certainly have all given poor leo a hard time, haven' we?...truth is, there is so much from the seventies we could rib...oh well....

  • jaye230,Funny !

  • ..It's a living....J/k...:)...

  • Thanks for posting this great recording artist . Damn good video .

  • Love that google eyed bird, a perfect dancing partner for Leo. lol

  • Richard Simmons' twin

  • wow i know he ugly as hell but those pants make those notes go too high and i would be scared to live there talking fog and giant pigeons

  • spellchack,asswad!

  • I like the setting for this number. It looks like a night club for the birds on the show.

  • I like this song but omg his voice is high!!

  • Shi-at!!! If I had pants that tight, I'd hit the high notes too!

  • wats the song by leo sayer about his 1 man band

  • the song was called "I'm a one man band"

  • Where is Leo's "package"?

    Nice pants...

  • There is no question Leo Sayer had/has more talent than 99% of "recording artists" in the past ten years. His "schtick" was awful and I can only hope he did the crap he did tounge-cheek, because he really could sing.

That said, there is no doubt in my mind that any one of those costumed freaks running around could have dropped Sayer in five seconds.

Leo, do yourself a favor and develop some dignity to go with the talent.

  • I don't think he would ever be horny on a children's television show, CarolX2.

  • Leo was fucking awesome!! So was Sweaty Teddy...after all, he was full of intensity in 10 cities...no, not Leo...HAHA....we love all kinds of music!!

  • this really takes me back to my childhood. I love it. and my mom does too.

  • i love the bird costumes

  • I love Leo Sayer music and video I feel like dancing brings back good memories.

  • This is the trippiest shit.

  • I remember getting a decent bj in the 70's, call me girl I still would like you back!

  • i cant tell which 1 is leo sayer :(

    :S

  • Do you know which end of your body your ass is on?

  • Wow. Just wow. I just feel so unlucky for missing out on the 70s. I wish I was born in the 40s or 50s, and remained a kid until the 80s were over. Unfortunately, I was born in 1980, and I got only the last of the cool decades (and I was too young to remember most of it)

  • late 70s, man everything looks so strange! but funny! love this tune, it was number one the week I was born, i think!

  • I never noticed how much Jimmy Fallon's stupid ass song sounded like this.

  • lipsynch :O(

  • "police, police theres a man on crack just gatecrashed the set of the muppets...come quick hes going berserk"..

  • which one of thoes muppets was leo sayer.

  • God.. get a new joke about 10 people bet you to it.

  • leo sayer is a muppet

  • You probably enjoy the music of Ted Nugent

  • I like this song. Fantastic!

  • AW he is such a sweetie, great clip, thanks for uploading :-D

  • I love this video!

  • if i had an acid trip this is what it would look like XD

  • weeeee lol!1 ":D:D:D

  • CANT STOP LAUGHING OMFG MARRY ME.

  • Richard Simmons look a like :-)

  • he looked like that long before before Richard Simmons even considered releasing a workout video

  • Leo Sayer my favorite singer, i love his songs especaly You make me feel like dancing and When I need you

  • just lovelyy great great greattt

  • thanks for the great memories

  • he is miming this because he sound like he's speaking through a microphone and as you can see he has got one on stage so he had to pre record this

  • he sings in falsetto and i reckon he's one of the greatest and it's not because he now lives in my country

  • hey am1gv, Leo is not lip synching in this. Listen to the original version

  • That one creature was really weird. The muppets were weird too, but not as much.

  • i remember seeing this around dinner time when i was 4 or 5 .
