In my opinion dyno's vary so much that they should be used only as a baseline for mods. If you use it to figure out what your car has without a baseline or use it to get a baseline and don't do mods it really tells you nothing. For example, the ms3 on a dyno jet vs. mustang dyno will read something like 250 on the dyno jet and 215 on the mustang dyno. So who is right? My point is the only thing that really matters is how much the mods improve the numbers. Nice car though.
hey, you CANT measure tq at the wheels in regards to crank tq... since the gear ratio affects the wheel tq output. so NO fucking CAr with 250hp is putting down ACTUAL 250lbs of tq. THats only 3 times what lug nuts require, and im sure you cant do a burn out with that little tq. The "wheel tq" your talkign about, is if the car actually had a 1:1 gear ratio, which NO ROAD CAR DOES!. so stop telling people what you think about the numbers cuase you have no clue...
how such low power? theres vids of stock ones on youtube getting 250hp and 282lb

my ms3 was at 249HP and 266 Torque when it was stock
nikolaspeed3 3 years ago
That would be a dyno jet dyno. A mustang dyno will read significantly lower and a dynodynamics will read ever lower.
Cnr01ex 3 years ago
Your right, they read about 10% lower on average give or take.

should definitely do pulls in 4th with the MS3
chrism13b 3 years ago
im not sure why your torque is so low. usually stock ms3 run in the 250-260 range at the wheels. the hp is bout right tho.

yea there was something wrong with the dyno. We are also puzzled about the results.

Even though 08MS3uknw is a little clueless... so are you. You can in fact measure flywheel power through the wheels.

dont worry you just got one of the special ones! LMAO!

it all depends on what dyno you running
wisniaPl628 3 years ago
The dyno we ran on kept coming up with low, inconsistant numbers. Plus we were part of a dyno day, so they rushed through every dyno.

Was that 4th ? i did a 4th gear pull with the mazdaspeed cai and dynoed 261/273
