Heavens to Murgatroid! Thanks for posting this! Brings back lots of fond memories of all those great TV Westerns of the 60's. Though I don't recall watching this show as a kid in the 60's, one Christmas I or one of my siblings got a board game based on this show. Played it QUITE often. The pieces were little saddle bags & the throws of the dice determined how far each player could go. I wonder whatever happened to the star of this short lived show (Chris Jones). He was a big star once!
when i was a young lad this was one of my fav westerns , great days , by the way this is not the original theme score, this sounds like Geoff Love and his orchestra but it dont matter cos its bloody great just the same, thanks for posting a forgotten classic of the 1960`s
How do you find all these great old tunes? They are bring back such memories of simplier times. Especially memories of my Dad. He loved all things western! Those days had problems but not like the world faces now.
I wish I could find the series some where? Does anyone have any ideas?

Jesse James, Jesee James.
He was cursed with a quick and restless gun. Jesse James!
And he played the game that no man ever won. Jesse James!
But his killin' turned him cold, he grew bitter, he grew bold
And he fought the world with a gold and hungry gun.
Gold and hungry gun,
Gold and hungry gun,
Blasting flame, a lasting shame,
On the man with a hungry gun.
Jesse James, Jesse James.

Yes I remember it too. Didn't the original theme song have words do it? Seem to remember something about a 'cold hungry gun'!
