  • THANKS. GREAT INFO.

  • Hi Sean,

I need your help with a repair to one of my sprinkler heads that is spewing out a flood of water. I'm a new home owner and I would like to try and fix it myself. Plz help.

    Thank you.

    Cheryl

  • Hey sprinklerdad can you tell me what the problem might be when the pop ups don't pop up, when it is NOT due to a leak in the system or a broken riser. Thanks sprinkler dude...

  • Are any of the heads on the line popping up or just one? It might be a blocked line or valve. I would try to flush out the lines to see if you can get water moving through them without the sprinklers attached. If water is moving through but when you re-attach the sprinkler they still don't pop up, this might be a problem with the head. Try replacing the head next. If you can't get water to flow through, try replacing the valve.

  • @brizzx32 Some times there might not be enough pressure to make the spray heads pop up. so you may need you remove a few spray heads to get the right amount of pressure that you need. and add more zones (valves) to sparate the heads.

  • I need to know what Teflon is made of.

  • Teflon is a trade name for polytetrafluoroethylene, a type of synthetic (artificially made) material that is used in cookware, insulation, and many other products. Teflon is manufactured by the DuPont Company, and the name Teflon is a registered trademark of DuPont. Roy J. Plunkett, an American chemist, invented this material in 1938.

  • Teflon is a polymer, a substance consisting of long, chainlike molecules. Each molecule is made up of a chain of tens of thousands of carbon atoms, with each carbon atom also connected to two fluorine atoms. Teflon is inertthat is, it does not react with most other chemicals. It also resists moisture and remains stable in extreme heat and cold. Teflon feels slippery to the touch, and adhesive materials will not stick to it.
