I remember as a little kid thinking these looked so delicious & asking my parents if we could get some tacos..but these were not widely available 35+ years ago...but my dad did go to some take-out place & came back with these crunchy shells filled with a lot of lettuce..& as a kid I was thinking this is SO not what they were eating on Sesame Street...lol!..but I couldn't articulate that..I think it was more of a burrito they had....the soft tortilla & soft filling...great memories , though!
It's funny, I love the aesthetic of these old short films from the 70's, EXCEPT the ones about food. Even back in the 70's, the washed out colors made the food look gray and disgusting. When I was a kid I wanted to barf every time this aired and they cut to that little girl macking the burrito at the end.
She literally said "They have to be 6" of large, of big... some are large..." then she laughed and said "OF ROUND!" because she had been trying to say that the tacos should be 6" round.
This takes me back to a time when mexican food was really exotic. There was no Taco Bell in my town and I don't think there was Old El Paso in the grocery stores either !
Love the "Bo-ree-tos!!!" at the end. Always wondered if the lady at the 0:42 mark was hyped on caffeine, or just mic-shy.

Actually I'm wrong, I do hear some English.

It amazes me how nobody in this video is speaking English except the girl telling what is going on but the sign at the beginning is all in English.

@See918
I did not think of that, but now that you mention it, it does seem quite illogical. Good thinking my friend!

Here is an old one about a tortilla contest probably filmed in Mexico around 1970

444, not likely filmed in Mexico, because the sign at the beginning is in Engish, and the kids in the video are speaking English quite well. :)

Sharp cheddar cheese. If you taste it I think it would be like lemon sour.

I wonder what that lady said that made her start laughing?
Must of addicdently said something funny.

Also it looks like this might of been filmed in the US because the sign is in english.

She was tripping over her words.
She literally said "They have to be 6" of large, of big... some are large..." then she laughed and said "OF ROUND!" because she had been trying to say that the tacos should be 6" round.
