The Republic is of course a "republic" which is a government organised into elected ruling bodies that convene and form a democratic council of voters on a particular issue. This ruling body is usually lead by a greater elected figure that acts as both leader and "third party" mediator. They represented this well in the Star Wars episodes 1, 2, and a little in 3.
@WolfytheWolf5667 This is the result of globalization, communism. Thats why the world gets worse, technology gets less reliable and standards get lower and lower as profits increase due to lack of competition.

@LordVoldemort1987
you can hardly call the Republic a democracy.

It's a republic. Democracy = different than a republic.

Eh. Droids still would've won had they had their 10,000 systems.
Besides, the Republic turns into an Empire WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SHOOT STRAIGHT!

I think it's just in the movies they don't shoot straight, because Ben says "only stormtroopers are so precise" saying their elite or something.
WolfytheWolf5667 8 months ago
@WolfytheWolf5667 So stormtroopers are better in real life than they are in the films? His point was that it wasnt raiders that killed his family.

@RevengeofShinobi1
No I meant the book, and I was talking about when Ben observes a sand crawler decimated by storm troopers.
But i think it's because of the Rule of evil - that no Hero can be harmed in the film. A very stupid rule. (not harmed by grunts/lower troopers)
