  • My father's always been a huge Quincy Jones fan. I used to dance to this song when he'd play it on his stereo while my mother was at work.

  • A great song from some great performers.

  • GOOD SONG

  • I want to go to Japan and South Korea!

  • what a song, will play it en donde Odalis en Santo Domingo

  • Finally I find a video with 117 likes and no dislike. I can have a good conversation with all 33 comments as well.

  • @estelokillo 153 now! Awesome isn't it? I complemented a fellahs video once and was eaten alive by the commenters. Nice to be among like minds. Peace!

  • @Chalwa 156 by now... what video did you complement and was eaten alive by the commmenters?

  • @estelokillo

Reeaaalllly rather not get that one started again. My luck is they are tracking me or something.

I got mad and childishly fought back on their level. I shouldn't have, but whenever I tried to be positive they would resort to a "old timers vs young wippersnappers" routine that didn't jibe. I am not as young as they assumed.

    Unfortunately.

  • exelente tema gracias se bailo mucho en uruguay

  • my mom had the same LP

  • Micheal jackson was one of the back up singers in this song...I never knew that all these years until i looked at the song credits!!

  • This song reminds me of the summer of 1981... so much effen fun.

  • This music brings back so many memories.

  • That backup singer is just icing on the cake, dayum.

  • 幼い頃この曲のインストルメンタルバージョンを聞いて好きなった!

  • @haha2000hehe lol..It ´d be nice translate it in spanish or english. thanks in advance.

  • 5 *****

  • NOSTALGIC

  • I love you.

  • Man it is cool to listen to real music.........

  • thanks for uploading this video!!!!

  • I Love This!!

  • I briefly lived in the San Jose area in 1981 and everyone listened to KSOL. This song and Razzamatazz was played and heard all day long.

  • This is an awesome song from the 80's there were not enough African American artists available at that time I guess {yeah right} God Bless You all.....

  • Loooove this song.

  • I remember this. Its one of Quincey Jones' best. The whole album is cool. Back then you didn't mind getting the whole thing because almost every song on the record was something you could jam too. Just like my Prince "1999" album.

  • When I was little girl. I thought he was saying that he knew Corrida lol. Takes me back lol

  • Whoo! This song makes me wanna dance till the break of dawn, haha! Plus, that's so cool you have that vinyl spin contraption.

I heard Michael Jackson did backing vocals to this song, since he met Quincy around this time. I dunno, I'm not sure. Does anyone know if it's true?

  • He's not listed as doing background vocals for this song but definitely listed for the song "The Dude". Check it out to hear where he comes in!!

  • I know James Ingram and Patti Austin were part of this and Quincy had done "Off The Wall" with MJ at the time this came out.

  • thanks ^^ this song is just awesome!!!

  • Ai No Corrida is taken from the japanese moive In the Realm of the Senses It is a fictional and sexually explicit treatment of a true story which occurred in 1930s Japan. nothing to do with spanish at all . The Japanese title Ai no Corrida reflects the intellectual sources which affected Oshima at the time -- specially the French writers

  • @johnyvico There was another version of this done by a woman named Lizzette Wilson could you post it if possible.

  • @johnyvico It does actually have a bit to do with Spanish. The "corrida" from the title (Korida in Romaji) is the Spanish word for bullfight.

It looks like your comment was just copy/pasted from two sources directly: a tv.com page for an episode of Gossip Girl (?) and the search.com reference page for Ai no Corrida--with the notable omission of which French writers actually influenced Oshima. As hard as it is to look cool on a comment thread, you'll do better to avoid copy/pasting.

  • feel like puke!!! rather than watching this vinyl spin, he rather share his mP3. Anyway quincy is d great!

  • The video makes me wanna buy a turntable:)

  • @mistyred8 Yeah, I think you should, you see im 43 and I grew up with records and accumulated a nice disco and funk collection of viny..now, believe me or not, there is nothing more rewarding than sit down and play your favorite record on your turntable, it sound different and its so nice to watch the record spinning while U listen...

I also have a large itunes, but there's nothin better than my Linn Sondek and my Graham Lee phono preamp

  • This album i grew up listening to - it's still awesome. A classic.

  • Awesome Job Cracker!! Haven't heard this one

since '81. On AM radio no less...

  • love it, the part just before the chorus is amazing!

  • Once again, this is one of Q's better works. Of course all of his works are excellent. By the way that "thing" led to the creation of those minature technological devices known as MP3's. You have to start at one (1) in order to get to three (3) Keep up the good work CrackerShacker.

  • Nice You Still Have That Thing! =)
