He didn't steal the phone as they would be in the stock room, plus the phone was already on so unless he can open the stock room, open the box, open the case, fit a sim card and battery and turn it on and put it in his pocket will having the smoke clock going off... hehe More likely that the windows been smashed and he's just messing around.

The triggered device is a Smoke Cloke ecurity system. If the bulding was entered, or if something on the shelf had fallen off movment sensors will trigger off the smoke cloke, to virtualy blind any intruders. its very difficult to see through the smoke...
the cpw was not on fire, the cemicals in the smoke trigger the fire allarms, thus you may have heard a fire alarm bell...
It's a pity that all carphone warehouses don't catch a light,carphone is a shit company that needs to be brought to ruin !!!
