Why are people talking about this? A czar is nothing evil in anyway shape or form. All fox noise does is use scary sounding words because they know their fan base is ignorant. If Fox viewers were intelligent and could think for themselves Fox would go off the air.

My favorite one with Bush was the one on women's health. I think he was a czar.... anyway he said women that have "female problems" should just stay home and pray about it. I liked Bush's "Faith-Base" czar too, I was never sure what he did, maybe pray for Bush.. I know I prayed a lot more while Bush was in office.

No. Nowhere in the constitution does it say that the President cannot have people who advise him/her. It does not say that (s)he cannot talk to anyone who is not elected.

As a note, the reason there are more appointments than positions is because some people declined said appointment, or they retired/died at some point after accepting the appointment.

What I would like to know is if all of Bush's supposed czars (46?) were appointed in such a short amount of time as Obamas. If the total sum of his czars were spread out over all eight years of his presidency then there can be no comparison at this point in time. If Obama served the same eight years then how many czars would he have at the current rate? It's a czar dense administration for only being in power 8 months. How long does a czar generally serve? Did Bush have to replace czars?

Wikipedia list all the Czars. G.W. Bush had 30 Czars, Obama has 32. Some are kinda funny with the title Czar. Bush's reading czar, cleanup czar, abstinence czar or birth control czar. Obama's faith-based czar or performance czar. My personal favorite is abstinence czar. Every President sense Roosevelt has had at least one Czar, but Fox loves to find ways to hate Obama, not that's not news.

For me, it means that Obama is a delegator and not a details person. In this sense, somewhere between Reagan and Carter.

You are right when you mention that this was edited for dramatic effect. I didn't see it but I am going to go out on a limb and guess that the entire interview lasted a tad longer than 8 seconds. But, why let context speak to clarity on the issue when you can simply be an ideologue about the whole thing and edit the video to fit a pre-determined political stance. Czars simply have to be approved by the Senate if they do policy work.

Obama has not had all his Czars approved.

Some czars do not have to be Senate approved - if they advise only.
