WOW!!! If you are like me, you heard different instruments playing (not present on your composition), I also started to sing. I felt so many emotions involved in love, and actually I felt represented in most part of it.
I would definitely watch your documentary cause I really felt connected!
This is really a masterpiece!!! I already downloaded it to my iPod!!!
Especially in the "Song of God" movement, yes, that could easily be arranged for a rock group! :-)
That "I also started to sing" really, really made my day... it's such a precious gift when your music gets to touch the core of someone else's heart! :-)
About the documentary... one day I will upload it... with everything explained in detail!
Thanks *to you*, for such generously rewarding words... somehow, this morning, I touch the sky with my finger!

Sometimes music can express more than words can... That's exactly what your composition inspires! The whole composition is filled with mixed emotions... I could feel Love and Passion... But at the same time, in some places, I could feel the sadness, maybe even some fear! That's everything I love about a music compo! Wonderful job Dan :))
Considering how smart, how sensitive, how artist you are, Nasreen, you've got so much of it...
Yes, this composition is like a journey in both in good and bad territories... but definitely the more it approaches the end, the more it gets full of Love and Hope!
I'll have to make a documentary about this piece, for to explain what the various elements mean!
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your insightful and passionate words here!
@danbergam I'm glad I got most of the composition:) I think that everyone can relate themselves to it in so many different ways, that's what makes it so special... I would love to see the documentary about this piece to understand better what you intended to express in the various elements of the composition. It was my pleasure to view your song! Take care dear friend!
Thank you *so much* for taking your time to listen to this symphonic "monster"... and for letting me know your very kind appreciation: it means so much, to me!
Thanks to you, for being so sensitive to perceive all the emotions and the passions in this piece of mine... and thank you, once again, for your very kind and very rewarding words!
Hi Dan, Sorry to learn that this music was composed during the most painful time of your life. You are a brilliant composer! Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of music :-)
First of all, Irene, I apologize for being late in my reply (tech difficulties).
And... I thank you so much, for your heartfelt words: it's really rewarding!
:-)
Bad times: they're terrible, no one likes to pass through their forging fire; still, I do believe there's a reason - actually, many - why they happen and the best favour we can do to ourselves is to find that(those) reason(s) and take the chance to learn how to better give love, so that we may grow, at least!
Dan ... no, Daniele (full name required here *Smile*) ... you are wonderful composer ... there's so much inside this ... the core of what music was born for ... transmit emotions. GRAZIE for sharing !!! Alessandro
Dear Alessandro, only the good Lord knows why I didn't reply to these words of yours: I know I actually *thought* about replying... but, don't know why, I didn't do it.
I'm glad you had many chances to listen to this a long while ago... and even now, as always, your words are so incredibly generous... but I just can tell you that your qualities as a human being/artist are just amazing too!
Thanks to you, for being such a great, smile-giving part of my Life!
"Make it shorter"? Well, you know, I'm not exactly the best person around when it comes to shorten things or to sacrifice some ideas here and there... if it was for me, I would add and add and add... ^_^;;
Shame on me, haha!
Thank you again for so patiently listening to it and appreciating it!
I'm pretty sure there aren't direct references to any videogame's soundtrack... you probably got that impression because many modern vgs feature orchestral soundtracks! :-)
About the "not so much melody": melody's there, often surrounded by tons of harmonies... but I still have to learn a lot to make a melody more recognizable! ^_^
This was played with Garritan Personal Orchestra, a *great* sampled orchestra able to play... whatever you write on a score!
Thank you so much, Sarah! Yes, there definitely is a lot of contrast in it, lot of evolving things...
One day, I'll eventually make and publish on YT a documentary, actually explaining the meaning of almost each single note/musical phrase... there's a lot of stuff, building up the meaning of this piece!
You're really generous, my friend, that's such a rewarding appreciation... hopily I'll be touched again by an inspiration (it's since the end of this work that I don't compose anything) and I'll be able to progress on my path of symphonic composer!
you are very talented (:

It's amazing how many styles "music" includes! I love variety too! ^^
Thank you so much for your appreciation!
Now, this piece's very personal and I don't feel like having it as a background music for something else.
Me, for 1st, I wouldn't use it for something unrelated to its concept!
I'll have to make a video where I explain its meaning!
Anyway. Hopily I'll compose more background music and I'll be happy to give you the rights to play it in your videos!
^_^
Thank you again!

I don't know why, but there's something about it that reminds me of video game music...
it feels like there tones, not so much melody.... was this made with a real band?
