  • The track record is holding steady 24 years later

  • Hell Yeah!

  • Is that Bardara Windsor on guitar??

  • Can't think of sth better whilst pissed outta me trees other than Man City working lad himself. Fuck where's me Drambuie? Free range before hitting dreamland eh? :-)

  • Robert Palmer vid ?

  • So I should go listen to the Mutiny in Heaven EP (The Birthday Party)? To see/hear how a No.2 died?

  • 9 people are not APPRECIATED-AH!

  • Am I the only person who thinks 'what the fuck is Tony on about?' at the beginning?

  • mark and brix, what a couple he looks like richard with a fit judy.

  • just realized the keyboardist is playing the "clap" drum

  • i fall

  • every band should have a feisty blonde blonde and a sultry brunette in it!!

  • @hufclufc If every band had a double blonde and sultry brunette, we would have two thirds more wanking over them instead of listening to the musak, and even more whores sucking Nigel Kennedys cock!. Beware of what you post before engaging thy brain hufflecluff.

  • @campfreddie Live at the witch trials first. Everything else after.

  • What's to say? THE FALL: best lowkey band everrrr

  • Live At Witch Trials is also a very good album do star with, don't you think?

  • 'kin hell Brix is looking sharp there

  • sorry ! ........... musik WIRD nichts besseres hervorbringen können .als that

  • Is there anyone who still hasn't heard 'Cheap Space Chant' ?

In YouTube, search for 'Timekode, Mark E Smith'

and listen to the strangest and best MES/Fall

    collaboration of them all...

  • The Peel Sessions are amazing, but a top 5 albums i'd go

    1. Wonderful and Frightening World

    2. Hex Enduction Hour

    3. Dragnet

    4. Grotesque

    5. Perverted by Language

But this is the fall so that could change in an hour's time.

  • @nath909

Wow. I don't know if I could make a top 5 list but I'll give it a shot.....Like you said, this list will likely look different a week from now.

    1. This Nation's Saving Grace

    2. Grotesque

    3. Your Future Our Clutter

    4. Frenz Experiment

    5. Wonderful and Frightening World

  • there's a fall song for everybody

  • The dudes are cool, the chicks are hot, the music is intellectual, anarchistic and has a cool groove to it. Still after all these years, no one did what they did. And still do.

  • That keyboard player looks familiar.

  • Does they get any cooler than Brix? Well, there is Mr. MES, but still..

  • Early Years 77-79. The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall, This Nation's Saving Grace, Grotesque are all essential for establishing a solid foundation in appreciating the complexity of The Fall.

  • i can't believe prince let her borrow that shirt.

  • @campfreddie

Any chance of putting this to AVI format, then uploading it on to rapidshare or something? i know i could rip it off youtube but, id rather have better quality.

  • I'd love to be discovering the Fall for the first time again.

  • This song is too bad azz for words. Love them. Best licks ever, yo.

  • veverzay

  • VEVERZAY

  • The 5 best albums for me are Hex Enduction Hour, Grotesque (After The Gramme), Extricate, The Wonderful & Frightening World of The Fall & Fall Heads Roll, there are so many gems though & its hard to leave out This Nations Saving Grace, Country on the Click, Dragnet, Slates, The Infotainment Scam, The Marshall Suite, Shift-Work & Bend Sinister. The excellent 50,000 Fall Fan's Can't be Wrong compilation would be a good place to start & then work you way from there of what Era grabs you!

  • Easy:........ Grotesque after the Gramme, The Wonderful Frightening world of, Hex Enduction Hour, Bend Sinister, Nations Saving Grace. All albums are in the 80's I know, but this is vintage champagne Fall and the music was consistantly good due to a constant line up that changed very little......then in the 90s and 00s the members were like a fuckin revolving door.

  • And just to avoid any corrections, I meant Scan, not Scam. And New Big Prinz - what a tune! Was actually what got me into the band originally, followed by Paint Work.

  • What on earth does he mean when he says "as in barbed wire"?

  • @makuus12 go fall in some barbed wire and find out

  • @makuus12 DERRRRR!. Poor deluded Wannabe Fall fan, Wrong time, Wrong place!

  • Six people still do the hokey cokey. I'm sorry, it needed to be said and I said it.

  • @microwaveb2 You ledge!

  • for those who disliked The Fall are fucking idiots to music genres...

  • i like Mark's kinda sound and style... it's totally brilliant...

  • I Am Kurious Oranj is actually the Falls weakest album, though I'm sure it was a lovely ballet

  • @glaatraa

um...i'd say seminal live...and i think members of the band from that era would mostly agree. personally i think kurious oranj is brilliant.

  • @glaatraa , What about Seminal Live, thats truely shit.

  • #rw2011 boah ey

  • this is PUNK-rock i like--awesome sound!!!!

  • Girls with Attitude!

  • Check the gas track record ?!?

  • @essertpitay : Check the GUY's track record :-)

  • @beebfader Thanks...I had my suspicion. But I kinda like "my" version though.

  • ja thats music

  • @StinkiwinkiPoo Jah rastafari, or just ja, I cant speak English?

  • @MegaKevorkian its a german ja ;-)

  • WHAT A SOUND! AWAESOME! LOVE IT

  • Brix with a White Tuxedo 330 Ricky - oh yeah!

  • Well, today Brix looks like a botoxed old, porno actress...

  • Tanx campfreddie. Stellar.

  • drink a long, drink a long draught, drink a long draught for the BIG PRIEST

  • where do i sign up!?

  • buy futureclutter.it best

  • For someone just now getting into The Fall what would be the first five albums I should be getting ?

  • @0307mark Hi there - the best 5 for me would be This Nation's Saving Grace, Hex Enduction Hour, I Am Kurious Oranj, Code Selfish and the Real New Fall LP. Alternatively, the Peel Sessions box set is a great introduction to their majestic career.

  • @campfreddie well chosen my friend - saw The Fall 4 days ago here in sydney australia - watched a performance beyond words, beyond most musical experience - and an old heart was thrilled by the number of 'youngens' present - I watched, of course, from a respectful pint clunching Peel like distance!

  • @campfreddie i agree almost except for Code selfish, i'de rather replace it with grotesque, which is probably not as good but has some of the first great fall numbers.

  • @campfreddie i agree almost except for Code selfish, i'de rather replace it with grotesque, which is probably not as good but has some of the first great fall numbers.

  • @campfreddie slates; live at the witch trials; bend sinister; shiftwork; imperial wax solvent.

  • @campfreddie "their majestic career". I think you mean his majestic career. There's only one person in the band.

  • @campfreddie

sorry buddy, but how the f*** do you not inclued groutesque in your top 5 albums?,

its the best album ever by anyone.

  • Comment removed

  • @campfreddie WRONG!

  • @campfreddie "This Nation's Saving Grace"...an embarrassment of riches. Best Fall album, period.

  • @campfreddie "This Nation's Saving Grace"...an embarrassment of riches. The best Fall album ever.

  • @0307mark My top 5: This Nation's Saving Grace, Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall, Extricate, Hex Enduction Hour, and Slates.

  • @0307mark dont matter any five will doo ya

  • @0307mark- try the 'fallfanuk' channel he has uploaded most of the albums

  • @0307mark the first 5

  • @0307mark definitely 'Grotesque' ''Slates' 'Hex Enduction Hour' and 'Perverted by Language'... there's four from the Rough Trade era, my favorite. A fifth would be the direction you take with the Fall. Greatest Band-uh evah!

  • @0307mark Actually 'I am curious orange' is a bit weak as an album. My first fall album was Frenz Experiment. Nations savings grace is a good starter though. Also I like Marshall Suit (but they are all good of course - even if you have a hard time listening). Listening to the Fall is not something you do for pleasure - you do it out of duty.

  • @0307mark No way, first five are the first FIVE.

    Live at the Witch Trials

    Dragnet

    Grotesque

    Slates

    Hex Enduction Hour

Later on Perverted by Language, This Nation's Saving Grace, Bend Sinister and Frentz Experiment.

After '89 it's all down to hell. Believe me, "I live the Fall".

  • @0307mark Hi, just read the last reply and having 30+ Fall albums, here's my suggestions; Escape Route, Bend Sinister, Live at the Witch Trials, This Nations's Saving Grace, In Palace of Swords Reversed. Hex Enduction is widely considered a classic but the other 3 are nowhere near the Fall's best! Enjoy!

  • @0307mark I recommend you get 50,000 fans cant be wrong, thats a good overview of thier work and then u can decide how much u want to delve into thier album tracks. It all started for me when I saw Wings on a music video show one night

  • @0307mark Try to find the 2 CD "50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong."

  • @0307mark As a Fall fan since the early '90s, I would say the two definitive albums for starters are Fall Heads Roll and This Nation's Saving Grace. The former is relatively new, but imo one of the five best albums of the last decade by any band. It is simply faultless from beginning to end. I'd round the five up with The Frenz Experiment, The Infotainment Scam, and then do one from the start, either Dragnet, Hex Enduction Hour, or Live At The Witch Trials (get the remastered version here).

  • @0307mark I would include at least one of the many comps - 458489 A Sides or Totally Wired are my favourites, but there are plenty to choose form. All classics.

  • @0307mark hi mate, hope you're still loving God's own group!, personally "Room to Live" can never be off the turntable :-)

  • @0307mark - that's a good list of five from Camp Freddie. Or: 'Live At the Witch Trials', 'Slates', 'Perverted By Language', 'The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall', and the most recent one 'Your Future, Our Clutter' is also great.

  • @0307mark Wow, this is an old post, and I'm sure you're deeply involved with The Fall by now... for me I'd advise anyone to start a five album deal at 'Grotesque', then go 'Slates', 'Hex Enduction Hour', 'Perverted by Language', and 'This Nation's Saving Grace'... how could you go wrong with 5 of maybe the 10 best LP's of the Eighties? The best era of the Fall, though 'Kurious Oranj' actually got me into them. Stupid Statesiders...

  • @0307mark I FKN LOVE THIS ONE...BRIX IS SEXY AS FK...SHE EVEN DRESSED MES = RESULT

  • @0307mark

all solid choices by campfreddie - for introduction's sake. However, my list would be

    -PERVERTED BY LANGUAGE

    -SLATES

    -CODE SELFISH

-GROTESQUE(amazing diversity none of the songs sound alike in style at all..)

    -REFORMATION POST TLC

five albums all different and from different eras. I do believe that CODE SELFISH is the best 90s era album from start to finish for listenability

  • @0307mark I am Kurious Oranj, Extricate, Fall Heads Roll, Bend Sinister and Hex Induction Hour for me...........nearly every Fall fan will come up with a different variation

  • Anthony "Tony The Man" Wilson, R.I.P., I really liked that guy.

  • Best band ever.

  • the amazing thing about FALL is the fact that although we cannot find a single original piece of composition in their music, still they are unique. This is genius, simply genius.

  • check the record, check the guy`s track record

  • love the background

  • wow what a cool freakin song xD

  • Brix makes this video the way she moves

  • BAAAM! Does The Fall get any better? #theholygrail

  • Wait.. it just dawned on me..hahah Anthony Wilson is thee Tony Wilson? I read The UK Medical System wouldn't pay for his cancer treatment because he wasn't "poor" enough to qualify. But you can't believe everything you read on wiki. Anyways the keyboardists his really hawt as is his wife. But that's not the keyboardist he has now is it? they look a little alike but i'm guessing the new one is a bit younger.

  • The other side of midnight... good show...cept Wilson never got along with MES, very very funny!!

  • i love coming across good songs I've never heard before, but when they're this good I just get upset that it took me so long to discover.

  • that blonde is his wife? I wonder if he got with the keyboardist as well.

  • @coptersoisoi it was, they divorced in 1989, Marcia Schofield on the other hand as far as i'm aware, never went near Mark Smiths trousers.

  • @SPERANZA65 Oh OK.. cool. thanks man. I see some other videos of her on the side panel. She's a real looker. "*Hollywood* marriages never last" as they say. (speaking of the Entertainment business in general)

  • @coptersoisoi you are very welcome my friend!, yes it is the Anthony "H" Wilson, i was never his greatest fan but i have his biography "You;re entitled to your opinion", great read, the end of Tony was very sad, despite what i thought of him. Yeah he ended up marrying the keyboard player Elena in the new line-up a few years back,,, it's amazing where he get's these lovely European & American women!

  • Sheer awesomeosity.

  • take away the vocals and the guitar and the wacky percussion and you almost have the bass line to "She's lost control"

  • @emile235 Not really.

  • is huk hoyan? please tell

  • Brix Smith was a Kunt in Person....

  • what if the fall wrote I wanna be your dog? genius.

  • genius

  • Saw the Fall at Leicester Summer Sundae Festival, they were amazing, lots of new members again, but still maintaining the Fall sound. M E Smith is a genius

  • CHECK THE REOCORD,GUYS!

  • These human beings are the coolest ever.

  • Wonder why Tony Wilson never signed them up ?

  • check the record, check the record, check the guy's track record

  • Gods amongst men.

  • this may be the coolest tv appearance by a band ever. jeeeeeezus that rocks. they look incredible.

  • I love Marcia, if you are watching - babe? Phone me, yeah?

  • Brix looks like a porno actress in this, but in a very cool way

  • She was fine Mark knows some ladies boy

  • @theDRONEwebsite What!, she looks like a Nancy Spuuungen type, slapper, in a very Nigel, get your dick out, whorish type of way

  • @MegaKevorkian Brix is now This Mornings Fashion person, in a kind of non whorish type of way.

  • @peterdcarter1 So shes joined the mornings best sellout follower of fashion sort of show.Tin Badges mingling with wet T-shirts, whoring herself in yet another way eh?

  • @MegaKevorkian I guess so, but we've all got to earn a living. How do you whore yourself? Post a video we can all slag you off when you're on your paper round.

I'm not starting a facebook war, don't get angry.

  • @peterdcarter1 Sorry, dont have any videos for your amusement, Yes, we all whore ourselves one way or another, just some do it a lot better than others, AKA, Brix n Prix.

  • @theDRONEwebsite How can a whore look like a porno slut, in a very cool way?. A spade is a spade, is a whore.Full stop!

  • excellent. and i love that blonde guitar player!

  • Wow, who's that on keyboards? Marcia Schofield?

  • @Backstabbio Indeed it is Backstabbio. Indeed it is.

  • Whaaat?

Mark E Smith looks like a human being!

    What happened?

  • mark e smith cant be that legendary if brif naffed him off for nigel kennedy!!

  • Check out Marks Clobber.. Top Model at C&A Mens Department lolz. (Just Kidding)

  • lol! Is he wearing his attractive grey slip-on tassle shoes? Got a good view of them at Bradford 1990 ;)

  • Brix is so cool in this, you can't teach people that, you either have it or you don't.

  • Anyone else think the tune is a cross between "The Sweeney" and "Rock & Roll" by The Glitter band? Fucking brilliant anyway.

  • Naw

  • Yeah, total ripoff, but you said it, brilliant.

  • Brix's guitar is bigger than her.

  • Brix took herself far and away fall seriously 2 the extent it was entirely funee

  • Amazing band, great song... baffling shirts.

  • "Check the guys track record

    Big Priest"

They should play this song to the Archbishop of Dublin.

  • Still pleasantly daunting/scary.

  • Does mark smith totally snub tony wilson at the end? i guess that wouldn't be surprising! That's a great song.

  • COOL with a capital C

  • What does one say about a fall only in barbwire

  • Comment removed

  • i was married to this record for awhile

  • I thought it was called the "HOKEY POKEY"? I CAN HEAR THE START OF WALL OF VOODOO'S MEXICAN RADIO AT THE VERY BEGINNING! What's up with that?

  • Random Fall 'Moments'- NWRA kicking into Putta Block,hair-raising!

  • as always terrific.

  • Name of the album..I am to be pitied!!!

  • I am kurious oranj

  • campfreddie, you have awesome taste in music!!! It doesn't get much cooler than this, bloody Mark E Smith is almost as cool as he's arrogant... lllllllllooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeee this track!!!!!!!!!

  • Brix is FUCKING GORGEOUS!

  • who is the stock broker at the beginning of the video?

  • Tony Wilson, founder of Factory Records, the Hacienda etc etc. See 24 Hour Party People - film about his life!

  • love mark e smiths slacks

  • Anyone know how Brix's guitar part goes?

  • it's just doubling the bass part.

  • There simply ain't enough clips from The Other Side Of Midnight on here...!

  • Agreed!

  • Doggplasma at hotmail Im your Gringo connection. Best band of all time hands down. Mark, come to Mexico I can set you up big time!

  • the brix smith bottom is a thing of beauty

  • @yutzis Yes, shame we see very little of it here. We do see quite a bit of Marcia Schofield's though.

  • RIP Tony Wilso
