I really appreciate the spirit and intention of your comment, but I don't agree. Beck has never done anything that could be labeled as pure hiphop. Beck explores more musical genres than can be listed- funk, but not necessarily hiphop.
To me musical exploration is more hip-hop credibility than rapping about homosexuals and vicodin. When I say hip-hop I'm talking about the stuff from 1980-late '90s. Not that crap out there now.
I'm growing my side burns to be like that.
