The "boondoggle" of paving the runway is for the military aircraft that are stationed at this airport and is not wasting when the apache aircraft needs 36" of concrete for support. There are more PA nat'l gd deployed since 9/11 than any other state in this country & the major block comes from this "boondoggle'. Claiming that this is wasteful spending is just a slap in the faces of those who are stationed at this airport.

Whatever the actual or supposed benefit of all this expenditure, one thing is certain....Murtha was the typical crooked politician, and to boot, was all too eager to throw our servicemen Under The Bus with his ruinous lies and accusations about Haditha.

If you want to extol the virtues of the well known Boondoggle that is Murtha Airport, be my guest. In the meantime, this man personally set out to destroy the lives of these men and the Esprit De Corps of the Marines in the process for his own rotten ends.
