poverty is everywhere not only in zamboanga.. i've seen worse. it's the parent's fault! it's always the parent's fault that you get to see something like this on the streets! parent's are to blame! always! also... laziness and procastination is the roots of poverty.
Have not seen the kids. I took this video outside the Wise Buy supermarket and since then have not seen him. But there are many kids in Zamboanga who are fighting each day to survive the harsh reality of being a poor.
I know dole-out is not the answer, but the situation sometimes calls for it. Poverty exists because there is not enough jobs for everybody.
How I wish we could help more of these poor children and we cannot wait for the government to act on these problems.

I am not working for the government, so I don't have any reason to lie about this video. I don't need to show that we gave the poor kids some foods and groceries. Helping others, especially the poor, is just a natural human act.

Here was my conundrum. I lived in Cebu, as an American consultant. One day, I took 2 street kids outside McDo's (Mc'Donald's). They were so happy. The next day, there were 5 street kids, and I figured, ok. The next day, there were 10 kids. We had a little party. The next day, when I left my office for lunch, the street was FULL OF KIDS! More than I could count. I just broke down and cried right there on F Ramos in Cebu. I was naive. I tried to put a kid in school, but he was rejected.

I am a former teacher from Zamboanga City and I can attest to this video that this really exist in zamboanga City and in other parts of the country and of the world. It might be better to turn them over to the DSWD Office. Mr. Mindanao Examiner, this is a good video clip but I think you can do more better action if you can bring this kid directly to the DSWD. I have been giving alms to these kids when I was still there. Lets do our part in our own little way.

maraming ganyang scenarios dito sa pilipinas. actually, nadadaanan lang sila ng mga pulitikong nakasakay sa mga luxury cars nila with their body guards/police and military escorts. we can't expect much from the politicos dahil nabili na nila most of the people nung election. kaya wala silang pakialam kung mamatay man sa gutom ang karamihan sa mga mahihirap.

Nadaanan ko ang batang ito na halos hindi na magkaugaga sa pag-iyak dahil sa gutom...walang pumansin sa magkapatid kung kaya't aking silang kinausap...sa dakong huli ay napatigil ko ang paghagulgol ng bata ng bigyan ko siya ng gatas at pagkain...nagpauwi rin ako ng ilang mga groceries para sa kanilang pamilya.
Puwede po ninyong padalhan ang Mindanao Examiner ng mga libro at damit, gamot at powder milk para sa mga bata. Pakilakip lamang po ang inyong mga pangalan upang aming mailagay sa website ang inyong nai-ambag.
Shame on the government officials... Natural pinoy tayo.. heller? Our Language is Tagalog po. kaya natural na fluent tayo in tagalog.. Dont tell me na mag-english sya or whatever language.. hahaha

wala rin silang pakialam kung magpakamatay ang mga inosenteng bata (like the one in davao) na maagang namulat sa hirap ng buhay dahil lang sa kapabayaan ng gobyerno.

maraming ganyang scenarios dito sa pilipinas. actually, nadadaanan lang sila ng mga pulitikong nakasakay sa mga luxury cars nila with their body guards/police and military escorts. we can't expect much from the politicos dahil nabili na nila most of the people nung election. kaya wala silang pakialam kung mamatay man sa gutom ang karamihan sa mga mahihirap.

Isang maalab na pagbati!
Nadaanan ko ang batang ito na halos hindi na magkaugaga sa pag-iyak dahil sa gutom...walang pumansin sa magkapatid kung kaya't aking silang kinausap...sa dakong huli ay napatigil ko ang paghagulgol ng bata ng bigyan ko siya ng gatas at pagkain...nagpauwi rin ako ng ilang mga groceries para sa kanilang pamilya.

Shame on the government officials... I can't imagine running a city or a town, riding a luxurious car, attending a very lavish gathering for the government officials, surrounded with well paid bodyguards and acting like there's nothing wrong with the people in some area... helping these kids wont even cost them billions...

But we always put these in our list and try to help them in our own little way. We cannot expect anything from politicians. If they help, it would be for a show!

Thank you for visiting our site. Saw this Muslim boys outside a grocery store in Zamboanga. They appeared so hungry and nobody is helping them.
This scene is many in Zamboanga where many poor Muslims are discriminated. We pity the plight of the poor -- Muslims and Christians -- but we can do little to help them.

i didn't understand word of it. however, the big brother shows unconditional love for his brother. noticed that he kissed many times to confort little one... that's brotherly love. if u live somewhere close to these boys please help them, cuz ALLAH will reward u both in this world and the hearafter. it is our collective and individual resposibility to help our fellow Muslims. don't just sit and watch, do something to help these hungary boys.
