  • Sounds more like 16 bit

  • oh pokemon...

  • @mokaey More like "Oh Soleil" for the Sega Mega Drive. Hellyeah, goodtimes ;)

  • at first I thought WTF, now I have finally heard a version of my favorite song that I don't like!!

But this version grew on me and I like it.

Maybe it is just such a beautiful song that I really would like any version of it

  • one of my FAVORITE songs ever! Your version is funny and cool, a labor of love, I can tell. And executed flawlessly- people need to open their ears and hearts- this music is timeless, and could be played beautifully on a trash can and cigar-box banjo...nice work!

  • This can't be 8 bit as it's more than one sound at a time right?

  • @GamersDreamGame You're confusing 8 bit with monotone ringtones :')

  • @xmentosx ahh!!

    So 8bit was stereo?

  • @GamersDreamGame Nope, stereo means getting different music from two speakers to get a full experience.

8-bit means there is a certain amount of technical limitations involved with making the music. It stems from old video game consoles not being able to play any other kind of music.

Then again, you're a game developer so I guess you already knew that.

  • @GamersDreamGame As the title clearly says it's 8bit SOUNDS, not actual 8bit.

  • So much better than I'd have expected.

  • Nice work dude.. For an electronic version of this classic rendition you nailed it.

  • Reminds me of the NES..and of Rafferty :)

  • it takes a lot for me to sub to somebody, but after rock with me, i cant for that, and now baker street, im going to have to sub

  • haha baker street.....

  • du bist echt krank!

  • Sounds like the C64's SID chip fused with the Sega Genesis's Yamaha sound chip :)

  • nice ! good sound efx

  • hm seems too good for 8bit, not in a tim follin way but the fidelity

  • I love Baker Street, I had my doubts as to whether I even wanted to listen to this or not; I'm glad I did.

  • less is more . . . great! continue mastering of other songs please !!!!!!!!

  • It feels like I'm turning on my Master System for the first timr since the 90's

  • Disco Rafferty.

    No, wait...

    Carnevil Rafferty

  • It actually sounds like Baker Street played on a moog! Very energetic and flexible, exactly what the song needs.

  • @APyleOfVinyl The flute sound in the original was actually a Minimoog!

  • This is amazing for 8bit!

  • While the original was nice, this is different. I mean that in a good way.

  • Well, I can take it or leave it.....It's ok I guess

  • excellent

  • omg....my ears are doing a party right now !!!! <3

  • Awesomnessnessness.

  • Very good and it wa great to listen to it now that Gerry has passed away, he was brilliant.

  • that was fuckin excellent, man!

  • Asked by many superstars, the only one with the answer, is on a saxaphone, ps, that was never to long....... RIP Gerry, fae J.K

  • This is a creative and beautiful tribute to a great musician. Really nice work.

  • rest in peace

  • i fucking love 8-bit

  • Repose en paix.

Tu restera a jamais dans nos cœurs.

  • Its killing a classic !

  • R.I.P Gerry.

    16 April 1947 – 4 January 2011

  • R.I.P. Gerry Fafferty, Iam so sad about this.

  • @TheDinglefoot Variety is the spice of life, don't you know?

  • @TheDinglefoot

I did not want to make better, but it is just for seeing that it would be with 8-bit sound... and for fun ! ;)

  • t@8bitFanatic Hey man this is actually really cool! Thanks for the great vid man keep it up!

  • R.I.P. He died to day!

  • This is truly deranged. Brilliant.

  • Haha wow, I was searching for the original version to send to a person I love dearly who just had a bad day (because it's the song we joke is perfect for contemplating our problems to and because I'm attempting to learn how to play it :P ) and discovered this, which definitely made my and that person's day. You sir are my hero. The world needs more people like you! Also, love that jazzy end :D
