mine was a rhetorical question, everyone is able to go online and know the names of the executioner, I wonder just how much of Scholls remains in today 's youth
The head judge Roland Freisler who sentenced them to death was struck by air bombs just 2 years later in his own court room. Body found crushed, apparently he died a horrible painful death.
@express777100 all that serenity and calm waiting to die I think it's only cinema, but the case of the Scholl brothers (and do not forget the other White Rose members , condamned and executed) must remain in the memory of mankind .. they were so young and brave and above all righteous, most of them serving mandatory military service in the occupied Soviet territories, and witnesses of those unacceptable massacres ..that's I think, the main reason they were killed ..exuse my bad english
@cercopiteco1 i only gave you the name of the executioner as you said no one remembers well i do. reichcart even campaigned for the death penalty to be reintroduced in 1954 only for monetary reasons. the scholl brothers and sister and white rose movement, made a historic stand for their beliefs and suffered, they will never be forgoten for their heroic stand. your english is very literate compared to some of the replies i recieve.
I would not have been executed calmly like this, i would have resisted until death. no way would i just let them slowly put my body in that thing and wait to be beheaded.....so inhuman of these people to do this...this goes for ANYone, not just germans
@istetchthesun yeah maybe i didn't...but enough to actually say what i had to say in court and to DO what they did that got them arrested...and to go down fighting than just sit there like that
The people's court trials by Freisler were obscenities.
Hitler told Freisler to doom all the WR members - Scholl was dead before the trial.

Cara Sophie, il Tuo dolce volto ed il Tuo coraggio di donna che ha saputo opporsi al nazismo rimane nei nostri cuori... Dimenticare mai...

Why didn't the nazis just let them stay in prison until the end of the war? Instead of being executed on guillotine!
