Compressor surge=not good, learn to adjust your bov. The "flutter" you hear or whatever YOU wanna call it is NOT good in any way shape or form.

Flutter might sound cool, but it's extremely bad for the turbo. A better word for it is cavitation. The "flutter" sound is caused when the throttle is shut and air's caught between the free-spinning turbo and the closed throttle. It's caused when air is forced back through the turbine blades, which puts a HUGE load on the turbo and bearings. A BOV or DV will fix the problem.

In case you weren't aware, that is the coolant temperature guage. Engine oil comes to temperature some time after.

Wastegate chatter is obviously noise made by the wastegate, it's the blades in there sucking air back in. You can call it that, just sounds stupid. Compressor surge is the proper term.
