  • Them are junk. I have one that I can rake open in under a minute. I don't even have to fiddle with trying to rotate the pins.

    These are 4-pin Medecos.

  • I have a 5-pin Medeco Biaxial that I can't pick so yesterday I got a 4-pin Medeco payphone lock that I bought on EBAY. I picked it over 10 times in one day. The first time took about 20 minutes. Now I'm under a minute most of the time. I don't get how this lock opens so easily??

  • 4 pins?

  • i was wondering if a pick gun could do the same thing ?

  • payhones in wot country are them locks used in?

  • This isn't a standard Medeco lock; it is a special order and it's factory restricted.

  • Nice work, hope to see more

  • it was called the "Sputnik" because of the shap, and it's striking similarity to the Russian spacecraft

  • bump keys dont have hack worth, its like hacking you want a challenge, anyone with a bump key can open a lock, lockpicking is more of a challenge.

  • Unless you have a bump key that is cut to the correct code to set the sidebar you can't bump this lock.

  • Put the sidebar pins back in and try to pick it Tom.

  • for fuck's sake, please people. do any of you actually know how a medeco lock works? i know jkthecjer lives and breathes medeco (the guy made his own freaking decoder), so you would be a fool to challenge his knowledge on these locks. it's completely believable that he picked it with a standard hook and tension wrench. most people think they can only be picked with a monkey diamond (bent tip), but with the right skill any standard hook will open these locks.

  • metalace21: Just to clarify, this is not my video, but thanks for the kind words. Also I did not know that the bent half-diamond was called a "monkey diamond"; neat!

  • Who cares? These types of locks are placed in very tight positions and very close to the phone booth. You can't stick your head in to see what you're doing and have no room to operate.

  • this is not a real medeco

  • Wrong. This is a lock manufactured by Medeco. Did you mean that this cylinder does not employ the rotating pin+sidebar design? Wrong again. These are 4 pin and the pins must rotate and lift.Mine is not biaxial, but I've heard later models are.BTW:Biaxial does not mean lift+rotate.

  • The lock did its job. This is at home and it took a little over 1 minute. Now in the public to steal some money most people with this skill set are not going to spend 1 or more minutes picking this lock. And there are not many people with that skill set walking the streets looking for phones to grab 50 bucks in coins.

  • Why do you say parts are missing? Are you just guessing for the hell of it? When someone does something slightly impressive, do you always call them a faker without even a shred of evidence to support your claim. I have picked this lock and the 6-pin biaxial with normal picks a good number of times, so yes it is possible.

  • its not missing pieces...its a flippin lock how hard is it to understand...he picked it..he is better than u...deal w/ it

  • Thats a 3 pin lock right

  • I believe this is a 4 pin. ...and a "real" medeco to.

this is standord for a payphone medeco lock, I have seen many of them.. never got to pick one.. but i have seen the payphone medecos in real world.

  • I thought I read it was a 3-pin lock. It still has the sidebar I know.

  • Hmmm ... I know these locks well. I just wish people who put such vids up would photo well enough you can see the face. There is a trademark symbol for Biaxial which is on the face of EVERY real Medeco I have ever seen and it is not there. What exactly is written on the face I can not tell.

  • Not on all of these. I'd bank on that being biaxial, not that it being biaxial would really impact his ability to pick the lock. Here's a good breakdown of the lock in question: lockpicking101 dot com /viewtopic.php?t=19523&start=33 (it won't let me post a coherent link...)

You'll notice that the biaxial mark "(|/)" is stamped on the key, rather than on the face of the lock.

  • Awesome video.

  • nice! you should become a lock smith or summin lol

  • now thats the type of medeco picking i am talking about.. clearly we see you rotating the pins.. awesome job bro.. keep it up. your freaking awesome

  • wow thanks guys!
