The CDC recently debunked the correlation between vaccines and autism. The only real issue with those journals were disclosure issues. The articles in them were reprints. That does not make them fraudulent. If Merck had put on the cover in big letters that they were the sponsor of it, we would not be having this discussion, because the actual information was not a fraud.
When the fake journals were exposed Elsevier apologized for their actions and cancelled all of the journals. They also cancelled plans for 13 more such fraudulent publications

If you want to test your drug to see if it causes an elevated risk of heart attacks or strokes you don't test it against diclofenac (known to cause heart attacks and strokes) and say that it is relatively safe when compared to diclofenac.

This is absolutely not true. Only a very small portion of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are affected genetically. Some children are born with mitochondrial insufficiencies are at a higher risk for being affected by Autism. Stressors, env. pollutatnts, high fevers, and fever induced vaccines may overwhelm the mitochondria, bringing out Autism like symptoms. Updwn 180 - I am a teacher of ASD, many families have similar stories of vaccination horrors, although unlikely the only culprit.

does nayone remember a dozen yrs ago, when parents used to be so fearful of a secondary regression? it seemed to happen somewhere around 7-10 yrs old. Once the alarms went up, and parents learned about the dangers of vaccines, this second regression seems to have ended.
I for one, don't trust doctors anymore than politicians, or global warming scientist.

You have not presented any evidence that supports a claim that what they released was fraudulent. IT was ALWAYS known that NSAIDS carry some risk of cardiac problems. That was never a question. The question is when did they know that the risk was statistically important to people who were not at cardiac risk. In trial, nothing in the science of what Merck has done has been proven fraudulent. You don't seem to understand the difference between marketing and science.

The only real issue with those journals were disclosure issues. The articles in them were reprints. That does not make them fraudulent. If Merck had put on the cover in big letters that they were the sponsor of it, we would not be having this discussion, because the actual information was not a fraud.

Fact is the journals are not faked. They did not claim to be original research and they did not claim to be a peer reviewed journal. The information contained within them was accurate republishing of previously peer reviewed material. Ergo, they are not fraudulent which is why there have been no legal repercussions. Michael Hansen CEO at Elsevier made a public statement about the fake journals - "It has recently come to my attention that from 2000 to 2005, our Australia office published a series of sponsored article compilation publications, on behalf of pharmaceutical clients, that were made to look like journals and lacked the proper disclosures. If you want to test your drug to see if it causes an elevated risk of heart attacks or strokes you don't test it against diclofenac (known to cause heart attacks and strokes) and say that it is relatively safe when compared to diclofenac.
That is fraud, manipulation, dishonest, useless as information goes & DEADLY
But Batty is in favor of death when it comes to drugs, as he says it is sometimes an unavoidable part of the "good" that drugs do.

The rates of Hib infection for instance plummeted from 1/1000 to 1/100000 after the introduction of the vaccine. That means you are unlikely to have an unreported severe side effect. soreness of the arm is a side effect in those stats. Do you really think that is quality use of the statistics? You didn't just discover this aspect. We have discussed it before. Graham didn't blow any whistles. He just jumped the gun and that is what he was fired for: not respecting the system he was a part of. The studies were concluded, the papers were already done and being reviewed and the pull was already coming. He did nothing but make a name for himself.

You're right, he wasn't fired. He was just censured for jumping the gun. Just because he sought help from GAP does not make what he said any more relevant concerning the withdrawal of Vioxx. It does not support your case. Again, the studies and reports were already completed. If the FDA was really doing what Graham claims, they would not have forced the removal of Vioxx, so why would Merck have pulled it? That makes no sense.

Batty was wrong about Graham being fired. The censure was from his immediate bosses, and was over-ridden by Lester Crawford, Acting FDA Commissioner, so that Graham could speak before a Senate investigating committee on Vioxx
Why would Graham's bosses censure him when he was right about Vioxx killing?
Why did Crawford remove the censure so Graham could speak before the Senate?

Why would they censure a person for breaking protocol? That should be obvious. Why would they then allow him to speak at a congressional hearing? Also obvious. Again, whether he was right about Vioxx is irrelevant to the claim you are trying to support which was that it was his whistleblowing that forced Merck to withdraw the drug. It wasn't.
You need to learn how to make an argument and support it with evidence rather than digressing on to tangents.
