Virtually anything in bedroom mycology can be done without this kind of gear. I'm always hearing you should own a pressure cooker (a pot with a lid works fine) and work towards buying a flow hood or hepa filter, but I get by without this stuff. Lysol, a big old pot, maybe a home made glove box.... and a liberal sprinkling of common sense will take you a long way in this hobby.
@blacksabbath848 one of my jars got contaminated but that was it. and it was my fault. Play around with it a bit first and check for yourself. i have only done it once for the PF Tek.
@blacksabbath848 And your jars are going to take a bit longer to start growing, cause the h2o2 will give them a shock. So if you dont see any growth just give it some time before you do anything rash.
did you take the mushroom cap out of the jar before you did all this? is it just the print in the jar? or is the whole cap still in there?

A wonderfully direct presentation. I would have assumed that would kill the spores. Can't wait to try it myself. How important is the hepa filter?

@patc222 you dont need a hepa. just use common sense and lysol a still air room.
