I think that this is the most hardest feeling as well as loving movement Tool has to offer. I feel bathed in golden white light. I like to picture my Tool playing on a rainbow cloud in "heaven". Can you feel it crawl up your spine?
I understand you have to "get" Tool but... this is so beautiful. Listen to how loud the crowd sings with Maynard, especially 2:08 - 2:15 . He is a prophet of our generation it is an honor each time I get to see him live and applaud him (and the band) for giving us such a wonderful creation as this. Bravo!
You know, I live in Kenya, there is 0% chance i'll ever get to see them live..well unless i go for uni overseas but you'd understand when i say that it's great to be able to find videos of such high quality on YouTube to give us a hint of what a Tool concert would feel like. 3 cheers to the uploader!!!!
i miss actually seeing maynard dance up front and clearly, YEAH i know it's better for the sound and all that happy shit to be out back plus he's a recluse but i still miss seeing it and not just catching a glimpse between blinking lights.
Tool is so fucking awesome, and without a doubt the most under appreciated band of all time and the best band of all time. I fucking love Tool and I can't fucking wait for their next album to come out and to once again see them live. Long live Tool!
@T00L8 said part is maynard stated in an interview with carson that his throat can't take much more singing so i'm thinking we'll be getting a lot more mellow songs from tool and like all musicians eventually a decline in his voice quality. all good things must end in due time.
I have seen TOOL live four times and watched countless youtube videos of them live, but this was an absolute treat. Wonderful quality, up close video of each artist and great sound quality. THANK YOU!
@crogangstaa Yes! The true test of musicianship and the true essence of an artist is in their live performance. I have known this for years and I recently heard Dave Grohl has stated this.
Tool is the greatest band of all time, no fucking contest. They create the most beautiful music out there. I saw them live in this tour and it was the single greatest night of my life! I love Tool!
Amen dude i will die in regret if i dont see them live. I need to see them hopefully if they come out with a new album ill drive wherever i may have to just to see these guys.
@chibixaileen i spent over 200 dollers to see them and it is the best damn experiance ever you have to go and yes they will have a new album soon and there is rumors of them and faith no more going on tour together what not a better time to see them it was my first concert and i have a need to see them a hundred more times rock on dude!!!!!
@theodorehastreiter to me there will not be a limit to the amount of money or time i'll spend seeing these guys. I hear it's like a life altering experience and no way in hell will i miss such an opportunity to see these four geniuses
Hopefully someday before I die I can actually see this live! After that, I don't care If I would die the next day cause I finally witnessed something that got me where I am today.
This song is about the band overcoming hardships, more over the legal shamble almost causing them to split up. It really hits you hard when you listen to it with that perspective.
@sircasington31 Yes! the creation of the Lateralus album was in a trying time for them and I believed that Maynards lyrics where about them as a band, as well as schism. And the song Lateralus too!
@Maltozombie1123 haha i wouldnt doubt it, this guy i was talking to before they came on, caught danny's drum stick, i got to touch it, practically creamed myself
so get this....i was supposed to go see this show. bought my ticket months in advance and everything....2 days before the show, i had to get eye surgery....my friends were supposedly mere feet in front of Justin. weak man...so bummed
I couldn't agree more. All the songs were exceptional as were the Maynardisms; however, when they did The Patient, I like you, had a huge smile. One of the highlights for sure.
Yeah its one of those songs that you just STFU and soak it in.
Last year when I saw them for the first time, Jambi became one of my top songs. I obsessed over it being the opening song.. I guess I associated the emotions from the concert with that particular song causing me to like it more.
I've always like Third Eye but I just didn't listen to it, ever. After seeing Tool open with Third Eye on Saturday, it is quickly becoming one of my favorites all over again.
Yeah, I enjoyed Third Eye as much as everyone else but I had a huge smile on my face when this came on. I haven't seen this live, and this was one I really wanted to see as of late.
Awesome footage! if you're watching this, finish the video, then go buy a ticket to see them, this is good, but nothing can compare to being in the same space with this happening.

@Muscle462Memory At 5:23 Justin was in the fucking zone as he felt the shivers go down his jaw that we all feel when Maynard hits a note like that.

The 10 hour drive from PA was worth every moment of this show.
First time as well going to a big concert and having floor tickets. Also was lucky enough to get to the very front!
My 2nd time seeing them and they have once again blown my mind away.
Also I thought it was amusing that Adam with his goatee made him look like
Richard D. James (Aphex Twin)
and Justin kinda looked like Rocco from Boondocks Saints.
