Superbly played by Fiorentino, an absolute piano wizard. Despite this, I must say I like Grunfeld's transcription better. I wish Fiorentino had recorded that!
I absolutely second Kasyapa's 3 year old comments below. I have several recordings of this wonderful soul's expression. One of my favorites is (listen if you want to risk tears) the Lento of Rachmaninoff's 1st Sonata.
Great performance! No extraneous movements or gestures, just virtuoso playing. At 6:19 in the little cadenza on c flat he plays the first 3 chords as Godowsky wrote them then plays an ossia. Anybody know if that was his own?

This is a wonderful antidote to Lang Lang's monstrous performance of Grunfeld's Fledermaus Paraphrase.

Volodos is very lazy but he could be one of the best of all time if he started to practice. Propably better then Fiorentino actually.
