  • Superbly played by Fiorentino, an absolute piano wizard. Despite this, I must say I like Grunfeld's transcription better. I wish Fiorentino had recorded that!

  • I absolutely second Kasyapa's 3 year old comments below. I have several recordings of this wonderful soul's expression. One of my favorites is (listen if you want to risk tears) the Lento of Rachmaninoff's 1st Sonata.

  • This is a wonderful antidote to Lang Lang's monstrous performance of Grunfeld's Fledermaus Paraphrase.

  • Great performance! No extraneous movements or gestures, just virtuoso playing. At 6:19 in the little cadenza on c flat he plays the first 3 chords as Godowsky wrote them then plays an ossia.  Anybody know if that was his own?
