His business, charity donations etc are all true. Everything he is saying here is also true.

@JawsJaws I take it you are young - so I can tell you High School years ago was not like it is today.
If you could get a job you left. Gacy was not book smart and became a shoe sales man - then he managed the store.
He then became involved in youth work and was funded - solely to molest boys.
When he was 23 he was voted the man of the year by local business men. So what he lacked in books he gained in manipulation and business prowess.
He molested boys + paid many of them off for years

@MsMrReason OK, I'm listening to John Wayne Gacy himself like you said to do. He says his Dad says he was dumb and never amount to anything. So there we go. If his own Dad thinks he's stupid, then who am I to argue with that?

@JawsJaws My professor at college said his dad never listens to him ! And his dad was also abusive, beat his wife and kids.
Regardless he still had a business, awards and accolades his father never had. I am sorry but anyone can call you dumb especially if they hate you. Does not negate the fact he built up businesses and gained promotions, became a special constable and donated to charity.
I think if he was truly dumb - he could never employ people and run his own business.

@JawsJaws His wife and sister confirm his father's violence and abuse as true. But I don't know many ppl of that era that were not brutalized by their dad - it was how kids were treated at the time.
I do not reject any of the facts about Gacy .
What I do reject is he is also trying to manipulate and excuse his actions. Gacy is a manipulator
Yes his father beat him, yes he was cold.
But Gacy also reels off many accolades which proves he did not think believe his dad's words.

@MsMrReason If he was smart, he wouldnt have got caught. If he was even smarter, he wouldn't have killed in the first place.
