Hi I have never had lessons so have taught myself to play and just have never used my thumbs! Ha. It's just because I have never been shown but I'm trying to improve all the time. I mainly play guitar so the piano doesn't get as much attention as it needs really.
@steorbs You've done very well. Stevie Wonder often plays without thumbs so you are in good company, but you really should use them. Force yourself. Start by forming the right hand chords you are playing with the thumb - forefinger - -and second finger . You will find you have a little finger available to play an octave note and/or a ring finger for a harmony note eg seventh. The left hand can play octaves if you use the thumb for the top note. This will "fatten" up the sound - give it depth

Hey. (=
I just want to say that i think that you play very good for only one year.
I'm playing it for nearly 8 1/2 years, and I'm going to play this song now. but I think we have different notes^^
I have a question: why do you don't use your thumbs? Is there a reason for it?
And i also like your voice. Its nice to hear it (=
So, lovely greetings
Julia.
And sorry for mistakes, I'm only a german one ^^
