  • That was spectacular. My legs would be shaking, too.

  • Wow!

  • owwwww that our striking ... that ugly thing! ? creepy, man, if it happens at night and a composition? ... comes the poor old driver. Congratulations for the video

  • owwwww que flagrante...nossa que coisa! é de arrepiar, cara se acontece na madrugada e uma composição vem...coitado do maquinista. Parabéns pelo video.

  • being in the right place at the right time! Great catch!

  • Why are you running around like a little bitch?

  • @usig00 He would have gotten washed out too

  • holy shit

  • Hes on the other side to his truck :)

  • wtf?a crazy very very crazy moment!wow!

  • haha Overtime! did you walk back on the concreit ties to the left? id think thatd be a hell of a lot safer than wood ties.

  • quicksand?? wtf

  • Wow, remarkable footage! Stunning just how fast it opened up!

  • too much hole, not enough bridge

    in other words, great video

    fantastic!!!

  • whoa, and how exactly do you fix that ??

  • @DesmosediciAlice how exactly do should they fix it? put in a F***ing bridge or a water over flow flood tunnel under the tracks so it don`t happen again...ha...ha..

  • wow, just WOW

  • @eltonjohnfan100 How'd the slide thing happen? Just Curious?

  • AWSOME VIDEO!!!!

  • wow, crazy

  • Took more than a day to repair? For God sake I would think it would take WEEKS to repair. Didn't they have to basically install a bridge? After all, if they didn't install a way for the water to go under the tracks, then another washout is just going to happen again. Anyways, one of the most outstanding videos I've ever seen on Youtube. Excellent job sticking with the camera when the shit hit the fan. Good job buddy.

  • @JetMechMA Technically weeks is more than one day. This looks like it would take at least a week to fix. So we don't know how long it actually took, just that it was longer than 1 day. LOL.

  • why dont you run back and forth one more time?!?!

  • @onlyonecb92 Why don't you stand there and get sucked into the water?

  • @OSTycoon you're an idiot. he shouldnt have been standing so close in the first place...if he was standing farther back then he wouldnt have had to run back and forth like 10 times

  • Holy shit !

  • how about some drain pipe

  • did they fill that back in or did they build a bridge?

  • something to see wow

  • How did u get back across? Lol

  • that's a crazy event to see live, and you are feeling it underneath your feet...coud be a nice bridge..the track with concrete ties look much stroger than the other on and +1 for the overtime...lol

  • OMG!

  • what was that?

  • WOW is right!!!

  • That train bridge took an arrow to the knee.

  • now all you need is a train to come through and you'll gain 10,000,000 views.

  • Going to be a nice sized bridge there when they are finished with that. :-)

  • "Hey Bob, you think we put in a big enough culvert?"

"Heck yeah, what's the chances of this ever washing out?"

  • Run away !!

  • well looks like the rails are ready for a train to go over. Let's high ball!

  • +1 For overtime!

  • Amazing. Is this track CTC? It would have been green lights all the way. Glad you guys were there.

  • NOW THAT WAS UNBELEEVABLE

  • whoah, it's like a bridge o_o;; really scary... and amazing as well

  • Damn.... that's creepy!!!!

  • why wasn't there a bridge there in the first place....?

  • Canadians don't use the F word! LOL

  • time to put a bridge there

  • schottern is doch verboten^^

  • "look im the head engineer and i make 150k a year.im telling you its fine."

"yeah but boss theres some train track round the bend there...."

"goddamit just reroute the river that way it will go under the tracks no problem.stupid noobs,i been rerouting rivers for the union for 20 years.what could possible go wrong? "

"hey boss train line called and they want to talk to you...."

"sumbitch i told you that was a dumb idea!! damn noobs never listen!!!"

  • thats is crazy man im in edmonton and i work for cn rail lol i love the over time talk lol i work in walker yard edmonton

  • thats is crazy man im in edmonton and i work for cn rail lol i love the over time talk lol

  • Oh my god the ground just turned into water, thats pretty scary right there. But yeah, if that rail line wanted a bridge somewhere on the line, they know where its going, lol

  • You had the right idea to run!! Holy crap...you right @hottrodmike! They probley did put a bridge there!!

  • liquefaction at its finest

  • @Elpacto16 Except it's not at all liquefaction. Runoff undermined the rail bed. It's just a simple and straight forward washout.

  • i bet they put a bridge in there

  • Well there's ur problem lol

  • wow! what a catch

  • Personally I wouldn't have left the concrete-tie main track, lol.

  • Scary stuff.

  • CN would slap a 10 mph slow order on it, then, when the train derails and piles them 5 high, the crew would be investigated and fired.

  • Now I know how Toby felt when he tried to cross the washed out bridge. That's scary how fast it happened. WOW.

  • @MoeJae86 HAHAHA! holy crap you made me remember that. Awesome

  • @7leprechaun7 Lol I'm glad someone remembers it besides me. lol XD

  • Great coverage.

  • WHOA!!

  • Might as well just build a bridge there now =D

  • on my RR we have washouts too- damn beavers LOL

  • The first thing I thought was "but the truck is over there..."

  • Thanks for keeping the camera rolling through all that! Most youtubers stop filming as soon as something (interesting!) starts going wrong

  • Holy Shit

  • U ran like school girl lol

  • This was in Chapleau,Ontario and is on my page as well, this MOW crew saved two lives, and a big mess, because the rails were all intact therfore all the lights would not be affected and woul'vd displayed green..

  • This video is GREAT!!!!

  • fucked up the tree

  • im not sure TRT 909 can fix that...

  • Talk about being in the right place at the right time

  • If you were cool, you would have walked across the tracks after the washout.

  • Time to make a bridge!!!!!

  • i could feel the excitement in this video , very well recorded . Thank You for posting this . Pittsburgh Pa

  • That was absolutely fantastic, I've never seen anything like that before. It was a good thing you guys spotted it before a distaster especially at night.

  • lol thats what you get for building a railroad track over sugar sand next to an active stream.

  • ...too close for comfort. Not sure if a bridge in this section would solve future landslides. Depends on the drainage.

  • totally awesome!

  • theres somthing u don't see every day. LOLOL

  • unreal

  • Amazing. Good Catch. You dont expect this everyday

  • that's incredible! I guess it's easier to install the bridge now though, huh? :D

  • Are you suicidle? Good video though.

  • Lucky you guys were out there to spot that. A train never would have stopped in time O.o

  • This happened in Nakina Ont back in 88 unfortunately it was at night and the crew did not know the ballast was washed away. There were 2 who lost their lives. Beaver dam broke was the cause.

  • Wow! Incredible video. You MoW guys are the best!

I'm curious, though. How did you get out of there?

  • Looks like the truck would have been toast if the guys wouldn't have moved it.

  • Woooww! impresionante! muy bueno!

  • and you know, those rails didn't break....that means the signals would have still been up and no rail-brake alarm being broadcast. I need a new job. lol

  • this is why we in the running trades love the track forces. You're out there monitoring and saving our lives.....everyday. I couldn't imagine coming around a curve and seeing this in front of me. I'd be dead.

  • Nature vs Man: Nature wins!

  • so what caused the this to happen water going under just get to high or something?

  • Now make a bridge

  • Crazy seeing the tracks buckling a bit after the 1:00 mark. Must have been one heck of an experience!

  • it was in the middle of the bush in the timmins sudbury region......the outcome, no loss of lives and the crew stayed and started repairs immediately. this occured april 14 @ 3 15 in the afternoon. It took more than one day to repair this section.

  • I have questions. What subdivision did this event occur on? What was the outcome..did the crew drive on out? When did this occur? How many days did it take to repair the section?

  • this is my boyfriend tom miller crew. the washout was 142 ft long 35 ft wide and 25 ft deep. tom stopped to investgate the crackin on the side that chris started taping. Yay to Tom, Byron and Chris (videographer)
