I'M NOT KIDDING ! 2 friends of mine were having sex at the time when this quake hit. At first I thought it was the 2 of THEM who were shaking my mobile home, I later found out it was an actual QUAKE ! THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN IN A MILLION YEARS, THIS WAS SOOOOO FUNNY !

I was in film camp at that time when the earthquake happened but, I did not notice it and felt it. Also, my dad told me about it when I got back home from film camp.

I found this video after looking at old news broadcasts from the Whittier (1987, I was 12 at the time) and Northridge (1994) earthquakes, both of which I remember very, very well. For some odd reason, I cannot remember anything this earthquake, even though it happened 2 years ago. Weird.

Me & my 2 co-workers were walking n the mall when the ground danced. I was so frightened. My job coach had to come and find me. We all left the mall building to stand by the flagpole. Took me some time 2 calm down. Jolts were something we'd come to expect. It's often said, we live n earthquake country. In this state, especially here in my kind of town, when it's sunny and quite hot, the cold breeze comes along. I'm often hearing it's earthquake weather. A reporter said there's no such thing.

I was playing online on Halo 3 when it hit. I just felt a slight shaking sensation and i thought it was the vibration from the controller. But i remembered i had turned that option off since i dont like it and i realized it was an earthquake. I ran under the table and i still had my headphones on and i could here my friends screaming because they were online with me. We were talking to each other when it happened. We were able to communicate. You gotta love Xbox Live and the internet.

The only thing you feel is the ground bumping under you. Inside a house you hear glass rattling and the wood inside the walls making popping (flexing) sounds. The most scary thing is the roar you can hear about 5-10 seconds before a quake hits. Better-heard from outside.

The worse quake I ever been thru was the 1994 Northridge quake that hit at 3:55 am. My house was bumping & swaying and I could hear glass breaking in my bedroom & kitchen.

actually, the Northridge Earthquake was at 4:30, Monday, January 17th. That one was pretty scary. There was a slight damage at my school when I went there few hours after. I'm still waiting for the big one, so we can get that over with, and live another decade without a big one.
