@mattxr2i Thanks. I've shot numerous 9mm handguns and none are as accurate in my hands as this one. I just got done cleaning it and I must have ran six or seven hundred rounds through it since the last cleaning and it was filthy but it still worked. @GunnerYuri The target is about seven yards, 21 feet. The range I go to doesn't have a good targeting system so it might be 20 or 22.... it's somewhere in that area of 21 feet.
Very nice shooting on the red target.. but what's the distance you're shooting at? BTW, I have the PX4 in .40 cal and absolutely love the pistol over all other that I have fired (that would include the Walther P99, Glock 19, Sig P226, and Beretta 92FS)... thousands of rounds, no hiccups..
I'm buying one this week. I was going to get the G19 originally but after handling the weapon I really like the feel and angle of the PX4. Are you using stock sites? They're alright but I found the front site to be a little thin which makes it a bit tougher to aim - although you seem to shoot extremely well with it. Nice shooting and nice work on the vid. That is a very smooth shooting gun.
I put on the Trijicon Tritium sites about a year and a half ago because the glow-in-the-dark paint they have on the stock sights stopped glowing. The smith at my gun range put them on for $75 installed, including the price of the sights. Can't beat that with a stick.
@SW34R3NG3N If you haven't bought yet, get the G19. The G19 is Glocks most popular gun and I think far better than a PX4 Storm in terms of quality. The other model Beretta's are good too, such as the 90 series types.
@freeze427 Thanks for the tip but I have Glocks and already bought the Beretta. I wanted a SA/DA pistol and am not worried about Beretta's quality; they make good guns. I like the way this gun shoots, very smooth and accurate - I prefer it to the Glock but that's just a personal thing. It also fits my hand very well.
Actually this gun surpasses any other 90 series Berettas when it comes to reliability. Personally I would never own a Glock, ever. They feel like I';m holding a plastic brick in my hand.... this gun, the Px4 shoots smoother and is more accurate than any other gun I've shot, period, and that includes Glocks.
@nativenyerintexas Yea well the PX4 Storm subcompact that I had sucked balls. Completely unreliable. Over a 100 rounds did not go off and my Glock is completely reliable, with not one malfunction. Those are the facts for my two guns.
@nativenyerintexas quality maybe a little bit, but the price reflects that a lot. And accuracy depends on the shooter - not on the gun. I have a glock 19, have shot about 6 thousand rounds through it and I'm very satisfied with reliability and accuracy - can shoot a human sized target in the torso on 50m with 12 rounds out of 15. And I am also looking forward to buying a Beretta Px4 Storm in 9mm in the future so I would appreciate more videos of it ;-)
I agree 100%!!! The Glock model 21 was like holding a plastic brick that felt like it was going to fly out of my hand while shooting. The only thing I noticed on my PX4 Storm 9mm was you have to aim high at 15 yards, like at the head to get a stomach shot. Maybe it's just me or my gun, or is this normal of any? Much better to grip by far though and a pleasure to shoot.
@Burt8814 Check the ballistics for the ammo you're shooting. Specifically, check the 'ballistic coefficient'. That will tell you how much fall you'll get over how much distance. I don't get that with the 9mm... but then again, I only use high quality, name-brand ammo made here in the USA.
@Burt8814 your aiming at the head? at 15 yards? and hitting in the stomach? sounds to me, but i haven't seen you shoot or had a chance to see your weapon, but, sounds to me like you may be "jerking" the trigger. Anticipating recoil... forcing your gun down right when you "expect" the shot to break. it should always be a surprise. that way you don't anticipate it and the only thing your concentrating on is you front sight and keeping it on target.
@Burt8814 my suggestion... have someone else shoot your gun. see if they have same problem. if not, then you need to work on not anticipating recoil. if the problem is still there when others shoot your gun. see a gunsmith that has a bench rest and can align your sights. two feet low at 15 yards is not good... my sons dart gun has better accuracy than that.
I think it's the F model. It has the safety and decocker. I like having both... it makes me feel safer. In the rare times I carry this gun though, I always carry with the safety off and a round in the chamber. When I'm home, the gun never leaves my side (since I'm on the first floor of an apartment) and I have the safety on with a round chambered.
I am NOT a lady.... take a look at a few of my other videos. I'm a guy... that has never been questioned by anyone that knows me. As for the rest of your message, thanks.
I just bought my berret Px4 in 9mm every time i start shooting the first few rounds are always low and left like yours im thinking its cause im not using the pad of my finger but i fix this and it still shoots left i looked at my sights and they seem to be to the right of the barrel this would make it shoot left are all the sights aligined perfect??
@FMX4LIF3 Personally, it might be the gun. I bought a PX4 Storm SC and had a lot of problems with it. The front site would move out of place after 200 rounds. Check out my vids about the problems. I got rid of it and bought a Glock.
Nice shooting. If you don't mind me asking do you record your video on a camcorder or a digital camera? I want to see how I do when I go to the range and see what I need to work on to get better groupings. I probably need another camera to see if I pull my shots or not. Great video!
I use a Sony digital camcorder. There's a lot of videos from experts on the Internet on how to improve your shooting. But the only advice I can give is consistency and concentration. I learned that from when I used to shoot a compound bow. If you do everything the same every time you shoot, then your groups will become tighter. Use a gun that feels comfortable in your hand, If you're not comfortable holding the weapon, you won't shoot it well, and lastly
hold the gun the way that's comfortable for you. I heard a lot about holding the gun with parallel thumbs and it's the best way to shoot, but it doesn't work for me. I have to cross my thumbs. I feel I get a more stable hold on the gun. Also, pay attention to the way you stand. I use the weaver stance, left foot in front, torso turned to the right (about 2:00) and leaning slightly forward. I reverse this when I shoot lefty. I can shoot either way but shoot better righty. I'm left eye dominant
it was me not the gun. Im shootin one handed from a wheel chair. Had a good biker friend pop off 5 rounds with it, he kept em all in a 2 ½ circle. And I said: good gun. And Im improving with my one handed shooting. Keep poping em offff.
I am happy to hear you're doing what you enjoy and I was a little help in you deciding on the Storm. Not many people know the Storm is the younger brother of the Cougar but Beretta improved on the gun. I am also disabled. I walk with a cane all the time and shooting is one of the things I enjoy doing most. Keep practicing. Most tactical training videos you see on the Internet recommend training with one hand (using both left and right hands in turn) frequently in case one gets hurt.
I had no idea how great this gun really was until I shot my new Taurus PT111 Pro and then the Storm.... what a difference. The Storm is so much smoother and so much more comfortable to shoot and so much more accurate. I'll NEVER sell my Storm, EVER. I made a great choice when I bought this gun and I'm happy you're happy with yours. I just can't wait until they chamber the Storm in .357 SIG.
I have the Beretta 92 fs in 9m, its a little much to lug around. I wanted a smaller package but not sub-compact, cause I didnt want to loose out on accuracy. The storm in 40 has 2-14 round mags, and I picked up 4-17 round mags. I can almost load up 2 boxes of ammo. Anyway accuracy for me is there when I get the squeeze and no anticipation of recoil.
Enjoyed your video, I did a copy, paste, and sent it to all my shootin buddies. After seeing how accurate your storm was, I sold my stoeger cougar and ordered up my storm in 40 s-w and havent regretted the purchase. . Had a hard time holding any grouping,
Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. And thanks for the compliment. I am shooting at 7 meters. Good call. Like everyone else, I have good and bad days at the range. This one was one of the better days. I haven't gone as much lately because 9mm is still a little scarce around here but not as scarce as .45ACP. The gun really is a pleasure to shoot and runs a lot smoother and is more accurate than my new Taurus PT111 Pro. I'll NEVER sell this gun.
I think beretta has winner with the PX4 Storm. I am a berretta 92 hater and says a lot for me like this one. I am thinking of a newer 9mm this one maybe in the running
I'm shooting at seven yards and there's a reason I shoot at that distance. It's the distance that defines a threat as a threat. You're entitled to your opinion about my videos but I have yet to see anyone post a video that shows someone shoot more than one magazine through their gun so we can see the true accuracy of it.
Comments are one thing. Being rude is something different. Hasn't your mother ever told you, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all? No? Well she should have.
Just a thought, but you might be anticipating the recoil at the very last moment before the trigger breaks. If you have ever dipped the barrel down, even just a little, on an empty clip then that is exactly what it is. eliminating that anticipation would put every single shot in the middle. That may not be it, but I know I had that problem early on and I would shoot low because of it.
Again, I am no critic, just trying to give a helpful two cents worth to another red blooded American.
OK, weather I have a CHL or not is really none of your business. Second, if you want to know how to obtain a CHL you should contact your local law enforcement agency and ask them. I know how to get one here in Texas. Every state has different laws. Even soe cities have different laws than their states... ask those that can help you, I can't.
In Texas you have to take a class, and pass the writen and shooting test. Shooting is at 7, 14, and 21 feet. Pass the background check. No outstanding childsupport, or taxes. Not be under a restraning order, no family violence, or felonies, ect. Submit an aplication to the Tx DPS. Wait for app return for denial, or approval right now is about 4-6 months since Obamanation people have flooded the system in apps. Lics is valid for 5 years cost is $140 for first time. Class ranges from $75-125.
Actually the ranges are three, seven and 15 yards. I've seen some places charge as much as $150 to take their class. I've found that, as with anything, you get what you pay for. It might be worth the extra bucks to take a class is a quality place.
Do you always shoot low with your first shots? Im asking because Im doing that when I first warm up with the Px4. I don't do that with my buddies Taurus, only my Beretta. Also, do you find that the quality of ammo has an effect on accuracy at close range? Im also a Texan by the way. Born and raised.
Each state has their own laws so I can't speak for every state but most the minimum age is 21, 18 if you're in the military. Here is Texas a person can buy a gun for their child, if under age or their spouse. I believe that's a Federal law though. Any other instance a person cannot buy a gun for anyone else. It's considered a 'straw purchase'. I don't know of any state that allows a 16 year old to buy a gun themselves though, and each firearm purchase must be cleared via BATFE and FBI.
We, as CHL holders, are regarded in most states as the most law-abiding citizens in the country because we went through the training and the intensive back ground checks... and as such, we're held at a higher standard.
The only instance when a federal back ground check is not done is when the purchaser already has a VALID concealed handgun license. CHL Holders go through a more stringent? and detailed back ground on the federal, state and local level than those just looking to purchase a firearm when they apply for their license. All this means is the CHL Holder does not have to wait the 15 minutes for the seller call the FBI and the BATFE.
If you live in CA and want a CHL, you better move to a different state. CA has some of the strictest guns laws in the country... blame the Liberals and the Democrats. Here in Texas law-abiding, sane individuals can own a gun and not have to pay license fees or even register their firearms. The only time you need to submit to a background check is when you want a concealed handgun license. When one BUYS a firearm and 15 minutes FBI and ATF check is performed and they get either a YES or NO.
Taurus' version of the 92 has the safety and de-cocker reversed. Personally I didn't like the Taurus. It was heavy and the sights were way off. I shoot this gun a lot better. It's more comfortable in my hand, lighter and more accurate.
Get your wife a cheetah, the model 85. It shoots real easy. Only problem is that .380 costs more than 9mm Luger. The 87 is a .22 I prefer the control lever reversed myself, but none of these LE & Mil pistols have it standard these days. Must get a target or a modified model from the custom selection, if they make it. Is 10+1 right? Because when Beretta was designing this they said the .45 would be 12+1. But this was back when I worked in guns and we had the 40 cal prototype.
Overall how would everyone rate this gun? Buy or not? I am concerned about the recoil how is the recoil? My wife likes to shoot but she is a small women and I want something she can shoot.
I think it's great. It's a little big for concealed carry though but with the right holster it should be fine. There's very little recoil on the 9mm version. I can't speak about the .40 or .45. The rotating barrel reduces a lot of recoil and improves accuracy. In my other video you can see me driving nails also with this gun. I couldn't think of another gun I'd want. I'm thinking of getting either another Px4 in .40 or waiting until they come out with a .357SIG model.
My suggestion is you take your wife to a few gun shops and pick up different guns to see what feels better in her hands. If it doesn't feel good in the hand, you're not going to shoot it well. You can get used to recoil but if it hurts your hand, you'll never shoot it well.
Actually it's very nicely set up. It's very ergonomic. It fits nicely in the hand and if your hands are larger or smaller than the average, it comes with two extra back straps to fit those that need them. The safety/de-cocker is in a very natural position. It's a lot better than other guns I've tried and is 100 times better than my Bersa Thunder .380 CC. Try before you buy though. Every gun shop I've been to here in Texas lets you hold the gun(s) you want to look at and play with the controls.
I've seen the Fobus and felt they're cheap. I have two Safariland 6377 holsters, a right and a left and the quality is unmatched with any other kydex holster I've yet to see.
Why does everyone whine about stopping power?? Unless you suck at shooting, you should be able to put a 22 round where it needs to go to stop someone. Plus the 9mm Px4 holds 18 rounds. If you can't hit someone where it counts with 18 rounds, you have no business shooting or owning a firearm for that matter.
There was another video I had posted here of me shooting at the range and was better in my opinion but it had to be taken down due to the music I had in the background. It was copyrighted. I'll re-post that one once I get my main system up and running again and can replace the music.
I have the Px4 in .40 S&W. Just a little more stopping power than the 9mm and a little less recoil than the .45. I comes down to a matter of personal choice but you'd have to fire them side by side to detect any difference in recoil or muzzle velocity.
I think I'll wait until they come out with a .357 SIG version in the Px4 for me to buy another one. For the small difference in stopping power, it just doesn't pay to buy it in .40 S&W. I was carrying this for a while but it was just too big and bulky for concealed carry so i bought a Bersa Thunder .380 CC in nickel finish for CC. Even though it's half as powerful as the 9mm, all I want to do in that kind of situation is stop a threat and get out of there and a .380 will do that.
I have seen that Beretta has plans on it but it's been slow. It took a long time for them to come out with the Px4 SC (sub compact) and I still haven't seen one in person. That's been out for about six or seven months from what I remember. it's supposed to be a nice little gun, 13 rounds in 9mm and 10 in .40 S&W. But the barrel doesn't rotate like on the full version. The good thing is the mags are interchangeable with the full version so ou can use full size mags at the range.
Without a doubt. I've even been thinking of buying another one in .40S&W but I'll probably go with a 90-TWO in 9mm or something in .357SIG. If they had the Px4 chambered in .357SIG, it'd be a no brainer but .40S&W... not sure. The only drawback to the Px4 is the limited selection of mid-priced holsters for it, under $80 but I found the Safariland 6377 to be a nice holster for a nice price. It's hard to conceal though.
Thanks for the positive responses. I figured Charlie Daniels knows the Pledge of Allegiance better than anybody. And Skynyrd... well I don't need to explain that one at all. If you don't get it, you never will.
Some people just have a stick up their ass and want to start shit though..
I was thinkin about getting 2 .40 Px4's when i turned 21 (too bad i cant get them at the same time though.. damn waiting period) But i was thinkin to myself it would make more sense to get one in .40 and the other in 9mm.. what do you think? Thanks for the video dude.
If I were you, I'd get the 9mm. The rounds are cheaper than .40. Even though the 9mm isn't as powerful, it's still a good round for stopping power depending on the round you choose for self-defense. I use either 124gr +P Golden Sabers or 115gr +P Guardian Golds. The Golden Sabers produce 384 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle and the Guardian Golds Produce 396, not bad for little 9mm. You can always sell the 9mm and upgrade to a .40 later on.
I need to know the name of that first song!

SW34R3NG3N 1 year ago
I put on the Trijicon Tritium sites about a year and a half ago because the glow-in-the-dark paint they have on the stock sights stopped glowing. The smith at my gun range put them on for $75 installed, including the price of the sights. Can't beat that with a stick.
nativenyerintexas 1 year ago
@SW34R3NG3N If you haven't bought yet, get the G19. The G19 is Glocks most popular gun and I think far better than a PX4 Storm in terms of quality. The other model Beretta's are good too, such as the 90 series types.
freeze427 1 year ago
@freeze427 Thanks for the tip but I have Glocks and already bought the Beretta. I wanted a SA/DA pistol and am not worried about Beretta's quality; they make good guns. I like the way this gun shoots, very smooth and accurate - I prefer it to the Glock but that's just a personal thing. It also fits my hand very well.
SW34R3NG3N 1 year ago
Actually this gun surpasses any other 90 series Berettas when it comes to reliability. Personally I would never own a Glock, ever. They feel like I';m holding a plastic brick in my hand.... this gun, the Px4 shoots smoother and is more accurate than any other gun I've shot, period, and that includes Glocks.
nativenyerintexas 1 year ago 10
@nativenyerintexas Yea well the PX4 Storm subcompact that I had sucked balls. Completely unreliable. Over a 100 rounds did not go off and my Glock is completely reliable, with not one malfunction. Those are the facts for my two guns.

It's just you.
TYX91101 1 year ago
@TYX91101 Sorry, I don't understand your comment. What are you talking about?
freeze427 1 year ago
@nativenyerintexas quality maybe a little bit, but the price reflects that a lot. And accuracy depends on the shooter - not on the gun. I have a glock 19, have shot about 6 thousand rounds through it and I'm very satisfied with reliability and accuracy - can shoot a human sized target in the torso on 50m with 12 rounds out of 15. And I am also looking forward to buying a Beretta Px4 Storm in 9mm in the future so I would appreciate more videos of it ;-)
GunnerYuri 1 year ago
@nativenyerintexas
Burt8814 1 year ago
@Burt8814 Check the ballistics for the ammo you're shooting. Specifically, check the 'ballistic coefficient'. That will tell you how much fall you'll get over how much distance. I don't get that with the 9mm... but then again, I only use high quality, name-brand ammo made here in the USA.
nativenyerintexas 1 year ago
@Burt8814 your aiming at the head? at 15 yards? and hitting in the stomach? sounds to me, but i haven't seen you shoot or had a chance to see your weapon, but, sounds to me like you may be "jerking" the trigger. Anticipating recoil... forcing your gun down right when you "expect" the shot to break. it should always be a surprise. that way you don't anticipate it and the only thing your concentrating on is you front sight and keeping it on target.
glockfan5193 1 year ago
@Burt8814 my suggestion... have someone else shoot your gun. see if they have same problem. if not, then you need to work on not anticipating recoil. if the problem is still there when others shoot your gun. see a gunsmith that has a bench rest and can align your sights. two feet low at 15 yards is not good... my sons dart gun has better accuracy than that.

Nice..Is that the F model? which one do you think is better?
thyt00 2 years ago
I think it's the F model. It has the safety and decocker. I like having both... it makes me feel safer. In the rare times I carry this gun though, I always carry with the safety off and a round in the chamber. When I'm home, the gun never leaves my side (since I'm on the first floor of an apartment) and I have the safety on with a round chambered.

FMX4LIF3 2 years ago
The sights aren't the problem. Consistency and concentration are all that should be needed to shoot a good quality gun well.
nativenyerintexas 1 year ago
@FMX4LIF3 Personally, it might be the gun. I bought a PX4 Storm SC and had a lot of problems with it. The front site would move out of place after 200 rounds. Check out my vids about the problems. I got rid of it and bought a Glock.

Nice shooting. If you don't mind me asking do you record your video on a camcorder or a digital camera? I want to see how I do when I go to the range and see what I need to work on to get better groupings. I probably need another camera to see if I pull my shots or not. Great video!
shropshire21 2 years ago
I use a Sony digital camcorder. There's a lot of videos from experts on the Internet on how to improve your shooting. But the only advice I can give is consistency and concentration. I learned that from when I used to shoot a compound bow. If you do everything the same every time you shoot, then your groups will become tighter. Use a gun that feels comfortable in your hand, If you're not comfortable holding the weapon, you won't shoot it well, and lastly
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
hold the gun the way that's comfortable for you.

Most tactical training videos you see on the Internet recommend training with one hand (using both left and right hands in turn) frequently in case one gets hurt.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
I had no idea how great this gun really was until I shot my new Taurus PT111 Pro and then the Storm.... what a difference. The Storm is so much smoother and so much more comfortable to shoot and so much more accurate. I'll NEVER sell my Storm, EVER. I made a great choice when I bought this gun and I'm happy you're happy with yours. I just can't wait until they chamber the Storm in .357 SIG.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
I have the Beretta 92 fs in 9m, its a little much to lug around. I wanted a smaller package but not sub-compact, cause I didnt want to loose out on accuracy. The storm in 40 has 2-14 round mags, and I picked up 4-17 round mags. I can almost load up 2 boxes of ammo. Anyway accuracy for me is there when I get the squeeze and no anticipation of recoil.
sthud456 2 years ago
Enjoyed your video, I did a copy, paste, and sent it to all my shootin buddies. After seeing how accurate your storm was, I sold my stoeger cougar and ordered up my storm in 40 s-w and havent regretted the purchase. . Had a hard time holding any grouping,

Again, I am no critic, just trying to give a helpful two cents worth to another red blooded American.

do you have a CHL and if so how were you approved?
JUNEBU6 2 years ago
OK, weather I have a CHL or not is really none of your business. Second, if you want to know how to obtain a CHL you should contact your local law enforcement agency and ask them. I know how to get one here in Texas. Every state has different laws. Even soe cities have different laws than their states... ask those that can help you, I can't.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
In Texas you have to take a class, and pass the writen and shooting test. Shooting is at 7, 14, and 21 feet. Pass the background check. No outstanding childsupport, or taxes. Not be under a restraning order, no family violence, or felonies, ect. Submit an aplication to the Tx DPS. Wait for app return for denial, or approval right now is about 4-6 months since Obamanation people have flooded the system in apps. Lics is valid for 5 years cost is $140 for first time. Class ranges from $75-125.
n8tex254 2 years ago
Actually the ranges are three, seven and 15 yards. I've seen some places charge as much as $150 to take their class. I've found that, as with anything, you get what you pay for. It might be worth the extra bucks to take a class is a quality place.

Do you always shoot low with your first shots? Im asking because Im doing that when I first warm up with the Px4. I don't do that with my buddies Taurus, only my Beretta. Also, do you find that the quality of ammo has an effect on accuracy at close range? Im also a Texan by the way. Born and raised.

is it right, that you can buy weapons in the usa at 16 years?
superman9693 2 years ago
Each state has their own laws so I can't speak for every state but most the minimum age is 21, 18 if you're in the military. Here is Texas a person can buy a gun for their child, if under age or their spouse. I believe that's a Federal law though. Any other instance a person cannot buy a gun for anyone else. It's considered a 'straw purchase'. I don't know of any state that allows a 16 year old to buy a gun themselves though, and each firearm purchase must be cleared via BATFE and FBI.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
We, as CHL holders, are regarded in most states as the most law-abiding citizens in the country because we went through the training and the intensive back ground checks... and as such, we're held at a higher standard.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
The only instance when a federal back ground check is not done is when the purchaser already has a VALID concealed handgun license. CHL Holders go through a more stringent? and detailed back ground on the federal, state and local level than those just looking to purchase a firearm when they apply for their license. All this means is the CHL Holder does not have to wait the 15 minutes for the seller call the FBI and the BATFE.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
you have to be 21 to purchase a gun in California but you can own one at 16 (ie it can be a gift)
JUNEBU6 2 years ago
If you live in CA and want a CHL, you better move to a different state. CA has some of the strictest guns laws in the country... blame the Liberals and the Democrats. Here in Texas law-abiding, sane individuals can own a gun and not have to pay license fees or even register their firearms. The only time you need to submit to a background check is when you want a concealed handgun license. When one BUYS a firearm and 15 minutes FBI and ATF check is performed and they get either a YES or NO.
nativenyerintexas 2 years ago
i heard in arizona u dont need a license to carry a loaded firearm in public as long as its clearly visible. i wanna move to AZ

Taurus' version of the 92 has the safety and de-cocker reversed. Personally I didn't like the Taurus. It was heavy and the sights were way off. I shoot this gun a lot better. It's more comfortable in my hand, lighter and more accurate.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
Get your wife a cheetah, the model 85. It shoots real easy. Only problem is that .380 costs more than 9mm Luger. The 87 is a .22 I prefer the control lever reversed myself, but none of these LE & Mil pistols have it standard these days. Must get a target or a modified model from the custom selection, if they make it. Is 10+1 right? Because when Beretta was designing this they said the .45 would be 12+1. But this was back when I worked in guns and we had the 40 cal prototype.
PopcornCoolie 3 years ago
Overall how would everyone rate this gun? Buy or not? I am concerned about the recoil how is the recoil? My wife likes to shoot but she is a small women and I want something she can shoot.
lunalover13 3 years ago
I think it's great. It's a little big for concealed carry though but with the right holster it should be fine. There's very little recoil on the 9mm version. I can't speak about the .40 or .45. The rotating barrel reduces a lot of recoil and improves accuracy. In my other video you can see me driving nails also with this gun. I couldn't think of another gun I'd want. I'm thinking of getting either another Px4 in .40 or waiting until they come out with a .357SIG model.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
My suggestion is you take your wife to a few gun shops and pick up different guns to see what feels better in her hands. If it doesn't feel good in the hand, you're not going to shoot it well. You can get used to recoil but if it hurts your hand, you'll never shoot it well.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
I would like to shot this gun, but i don't know. de-cocker in slide is not very comfortable
keporkeria 3 years ago
Actually it's very nicely set up. It's very ergonomic. It fits nicely in the hand and if your hands are larger or smaller than the average, it comes with two extra back straps to fit those that need them. The safety/de-cocker is in a very natural position. It's a lot better than other guns I've tried and is 100 times better than my Bersa Thunder .380 CC. Try before you buy though. Every gun shop I've been to here in Texas lets you hold the gun(s) you want to look at and play with the controls.

I'll re-post that one once I get my main system up and running again and can replace the music.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
I have the Px4 in .40 S&W. Just a little more stopping power than the 9mm and a little less recoil than the .45. I comes down to a matter of personal choice but you'd have to fire them side by side to detect any difference in recoil or muzzle velocity.
Above all, it's accurate and dependable.
SwampDog1957 3 years ago
I think I'll wait until they come out with a .357 SIG version in the Px4 for me to buy another one. For the small difference in stopping power, it just doesn't pay to buy it in .40 S&W. I was carrying this for a while but it was just too big and bulky for concealed carry so i bought a Bersa Thunder .380 CC in nickel finish for CC. Even though it's half as powerful as the 9mm, all I want to do in that kind of situation is stop a threat and get out of there and a .380 will do that.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
Great video! Really like the music and dialogue.
I've been interested in the PX4 since I first heard about it. Do you happen to know if it's going to come out in .357 SIG?
jroberts7387 3 years ago
I have seen that Beretta has plans on it but it's been slow. It took a long time for them to come out with the Px4 SC (sub compact) and I still haven't seen one in person. That's been out for about six or seven months from what I remember. it's supposed to be a nice little gun, 13 rounds in 9mm and 10 in .40 S&W. But the barrel doesn't rotate like on the full version. The good thing is the mags are interchangeable with the full version so ou can use full size mags at the range.
nativenyerintexas 3 years ago
so all in all you think this is a good handgun to buy?
LordofKamarra 3 years ago
Without a doubt. I've even been thinking of buying another one in .40S&W but I'll probably go with a 90-TWO in 9mm or something in .357SIG. If they had the Px4 chambered in .357SIG, it'd be a no brainer but .40S&W... not sure. The only drawback to the Px4 is the limited selection of mid-priced holsters for it, under $80 but I found the Safariland 6377 to be a nice holster for a nice price. It's hard to conceal though.

ImaBadAssDruid 2 years ago
If I were you, I'd get the 9mm. The rounds are cheaper than .40. Even though the 9mm isn't as powerful, it's still a good round for stopping power depending on the round you choose for self-defense. I use either 124gr +P Golden Sabers or 115gr +P Guardian Golds. The Golden Sabers produce 384 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle and the Guardian Golds Produce 396, not bad for little 9mm. You can always sell the 9mm and upgrade to a .40 later on.
