BP the catalyst that starts methane snowballing around the globe. As more methane enters the atmosphere, causing more global warming, the huge pockets of hydrates (frozen muck filled with methane held in a frozen state by pressure and temp.) are beginning to melt releasing more methane, causing more global warming causing more methane to enter atmosphere. I just want the Earth I live on to stop getting so abused. And this made me none too happy. I want my kids (when I have them) to live in a place that's better than what we have now. Keep spending money on pointless commercials about your dedication while my favorite beautiful white beaches in Pensacola are being covered with your crude oil. Gets everywhere and makes a mess, doesn't it? Now take a new coke and mentos, place underwater in your bathtub and try to put the cap back on with a remote control device. Why are they allowing continuing (BP) to handle the oil spill? They are the cause of the problem and they are allowing making decisions about the oil spill. What else can you expect? I find it interesting how BP pays to have their ad/video on the main pages of YouTube when they could use that money to help clean up the beaches. Also I find it interesting that BP says they are going to clean up with out using tax payer's money...Why did I see military people in uniform cleaning up the beaches in one of their videos??? Some thing that bothers me about these claims, I'm sure a lot of people are going to try to commit fraud. I saw one guy on the news recently, he claimed to be losing about 10 grand a month. The guy had a total of 5 teeth in his mouth. They better investigate anyone that puts in a claim. And if anyone is caught committing fraud they need to lock them up.
I disagree with the way Obama, strong armed BP into a 20 billion dollar fund. I think BP deserves an apology for that. If BP goes under a lot of people are going to lose. Workers, investors, and the government will lose revenue. Also if BP just decides that enough is enough and pulls out of the Gulf completely, that means a loss of jobs. We cannot afford to lose anymore high paying jobs. If they leave it will be a disaster.

I spilled my soda on my brother's table this afternoon. I thought it'd be helpful to put a barrier of knick knacks in front of it to stop it, but it didn't. Then I tried pouring honey on it to stop it from spreading. Not so good. Now the poor dog is covered in this mess, and stuffing paper towels in an emptying soda can isn't working. =(

Oil was never ment to be on the surface yea technically its all natural due to the fact that its made out of everything that has decomposed. But its toxic thats why its under the crust! People can be pretty stupid sometimes... OIL COMES FROM THE EARTH... EARTH has its own natural abilities to CLEAN UP its OWN RESOURCES...even so do you expect a company to be able fix a DISASTER so quick? Those caps are designed to seal the pipe when the rig is done with it. If you think you can fix it, then by all means go help them, if not shut up and stop being a couch warrior... @ITRIEDEL you truly are bps butt buddy. In hurricanes not many animals die due to the fact that they have INSTINCTS which means they leave!!! Those same INSTINCTS are what makes them go to the gulf and lay eggs, mate, etc. But the oil is killing them thus putting them on the endangered list. Was this the planets fault?? NO it was humans!

If you were referencing the whole ocean then yes, but no its just the gulf for now and the oil is spreading and continues to spread fast all around the gulf and if it hits the gulf stream it could make it all the way to south carolina and further. I find it interesting how BP pays to have their ad/video on the main pages of YouTube when they could use that money to help clean up the beaches. Also I find it interesting that BP says they are going to clean up with out using tax payer's money...Why did I see military people in uniform cleaning up the beaches in one of their videos??? Interesting. The military volunteering is still our money being used. Think about it real hard BP!!!

It's called unequal protection. If I or anyone were to fly to the gulf and spill thousands of gallons of crude into the water, i wouldn't be typing this message, I'd be behind bars.
Corporations are no different. Since the Supreme court has stated they are persons, the men and women who are the principal people who sign for the Corps MUST be accountable criminally.
As a law student I believe this is a must.

Some thing that bothers me about these claims, I'm sure a lot of people are going to try to commit fraud. I saw one guy on the news recently, he claimed to be losing about 10 grand a month. The guy had a total of 5 teeth in his mouth. They better investigate anyone that puts in a claim. And if anyone is caught committing fraud they need to lock them up.

I disagree with the way Obama, strong armed BP into a 20 billion dollar fund. I think BP deserves an apology for that. If BP goes under a lot of people are going to lose. Workers, investors, and the government will lose revenue. Also if BP just decides that enough is enough and pulls out of the Gulf completely, that means a loss of jobs. We cannot afford to lose anymore high paying jobs. If they leave it will be a disaster.

@talltom1973 Welcome to the way markets should operate. If a company wants to gamble on safety procedures in pursuit of profits, they deserve to feel every aspect of the repercussions. BP has shown they are an irresponsible company and should no longer be allowed in the market. Adam Smith would be rolling in his grave if BP were propped up by government funds... especially when those government funds/help come from a foreign company (the USA)

If they pull out of this country it will be an economic disaster. I'm also tired of all of these environmentalists that keep pushing clean energy. I spilled my soda on my brother's table this afternoon. I thought it'd be helpful to put a barrier of knick knacks in front of it to stop it, but it didn't. Then I tried pouring honey on it to stop it from spreading. Not so good. Now the poor dog is covered in this mess, and stuffing paper towels in an emptying soda can isn't working. =(
What I'm really trying to say is that BP is stupid as hell. We'll be civil when you stop destroying the Earth. Douches.

Just wanting to say congratulations for cutting corners on safety policies to try and make some extra profits. How's that working out for you BP? Maybe next time you'll listen to your workers--the ones that actually work with the equipment on a day to day basis--instead of some corporate schmuck trying to earn your company some extra cash.

Come on ppl! They are at least trying to fix this. it's a lot harder then just 'Plugging the hole.' They are willing to help, instead of just sitting on their butts, claiming it's not there fault. Why do most of you just want to throw blame and insults at them. Do something to help if you don't think enough is being done. I thank you BP for doing everything you can to fix this mess.

The people understand about marketing and damage control. We are not buying the "new face of BP". Tony Hayward will forever be the face of BP and the Gulf Oil Spill. His attitude and contempt for us and our concerns will not be forgotten because some homeboy has replaced him. Stop lying to us and start supporting us by sincere attempts and real success in saving jobs, industries, wild life and people. It is way too late, way past the time to repair your image.
