webbie passed away this summer, so i can't study her nymore. but best i can recall, she didnt do it when she purred. usually it was when she was sleeping or light napping. she was asthmatic since she was young.
Hi, my male maine coon Silverado, has lost a lot of weight and has labored and sometimes rapid breathing. He has been tested for everything and nothing has been figured out. Just a short time ago I heard the same sounds coming from him as Webigail, on his exhale, which is what it sounds like with her. Have you ever seen a cough, or loss of weight? Thank you for the post.
(i exhale wheeze too, but form my asthma lol). webbie never gains or loses weight, she always stays about the same. She doesnt have trouble breathing at all, just the wheezing. Shes been that weight for 10 years now, since she had her baby. She just never lost it, still looks pregnant, even with milk sacs drooping and all. vet said all was fine, for both the weight, and for the breathing.
my other cat, ozzy, he has actual asthma attacks if he over exerts though.
it's not an attack, it' just how she sounds most of the time, especially while napping. we used to think it was snoring lol she's been to the vet and everything. shes in great health, thankfully. :)

You should take your cat to the vet. Did you do anything for this attack?
