Hey everyone, It doesn't really matter how many petals you make! make more than 4 and you will do fine. fewer petals will look like a but, more petals will look more like a cabbage rose.
hm I thought I skipped one and did the sc as well and I still turned out with 15...I will jst do what what you told the other 15 petal person.......Thanks for sharing....I will see how this turns out.....Thx again keep the videos rollin you are fantastic!
I have tried 3 different roses, NONE of them turned out EXCEPT this one..... I have been crocheting for 13 years, but learned backwards, instead of reading written instructions, I learned by looking at the finished product, so this tutorial was VERY helpful for me, since I am barely learning how to read crochet instructions. thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial and the time you took to make this so EASY to understand, Much Love... Maria
@LetMeKnowTruthAlways You should have 12 petals. always skip one between the groups of dc and the sc on both sides. so, sc, sk 1, 7 dc, sk 1, sc, sk 1, 7 dc sk 1 etc.

@Be Ok Thanks so much! I understand now, :) You're a great teacher!! I feel like I should be paying you for your lessons, you're so good! Thanks again, Carla
@LetMeKnowTruthAlways The rose will look fine with 15 petals. I would just go ahead & make it, but only add the last row on the first 6 petals. It will just be a tiny bit larger.
I am just learning about patterns... and I was wondering what was the 1st row after the chain..
SC in first stitch. Then skip one. Make 7 DC in the next stitch. Then skip next one then SC in next ...and this is where I do not know what to do next...DO I skip one then make 7DC or do I just go right to make DC .
Sorry I know this is a silly question but I don't do it wrong and I just started to crochet. Thanks.
I just tricked it out my way! Lol thnx
