Knight Rider was made when Universal was in a financial gap so they had to do something. Knight Rider had cheap episodes and actors were clearly underpaid. So unfortunately you and me have to admit, Knight rider wasn't such an expensive show, some cars even lacked license plates because of that.
good points guys, but this also goes to prove money isn't everything. KR was brilliant, it had great writing and acting and they really did a lot for not having a big budget. While I liked 'Viper' it just never had the cast to really draw you in. But without the people and true heart put in (well and a bit of timing seeing as how even great shows get cancelled if they can't get the fan following). Long live K.I.T.T.!
It is the same als knight rider bougth series are cool, But Knigth rider wins it.

@1958plymouth440V8 In theory, the pulse charge disrupts the electrical system. Most likely disturbing the electromagnetic field of the ignition coil.

Oh come on! Chases are anti-climatic when the chaser uses some car jammer thing! KITTs micro lock is a good example and whatever this Viper used.
