No, it won't be in Disney World, only at Disney California Adventure.

Only if Disney comes around to make Florida park like they did a California park, then we could see it there. It will probably be re-themed to the race track at Daytona (for experince difference). But that's just me on that last bit.

Mystic Manor is not going to be the Haunted mansion of Hong Kong Disneyland. This appears to be it's own freestanding venture not to be confused with Disneyland's Haunted Mansion.

The Expo was only in September. It was located in Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA (right next to Disneyland).

I don't care if Disney is a monopolizing corporation, it's the wonderful little details and magic they bring to everything that makes me forever love them. Great comment. I don't think it is as much monopolizing as that the competition can't keep up with the fresh new ideas and tecnologies that Disney Imagineering comes up with. And you are right, they have those little details that just make everything better.

I went to the Expo and it was FANtastic! Getting to see John Travolta, Kelly Presley, Courtney Cox, Nicholas Cage, Johnny Depp, and others was just the icing on the cake! Seeing the future of Disney/Pixar and the Parks was exciting to say the least. If you have the chance to go next year...go! And if you're a D23 member, you get into the Expo 1 hour earlier, and some events filled up early and then were closed off! So it paid to be a member, plus some items sold were member only items!

Is Mystic Manor a new version of the Haunted Mansion going in somewhere?

It's supposed to be what HKDL has instead of HM, but it will have a different story and characters. Different vehicles, track, and building. It's not a new version like Phantom Manor was. It will have totally different scenes, I believe. I just hope it has the same music.

I got to talk with one of the Imagineers that worked on it and it is TOTALLY different!

What happens is that there is an eccentric explorer who is filthy rich. And he opens up his manor to anyone who comes through the jungle to visit it. The monkey opens Pandoras box and everything comes alive. Totally new soundtrack and effects, Indiana Jones style random controls-4 vehicles that completely split up!. Got to go to HKDL now!

That Carsland mouth test looks GREAT! I cant tell exactly how they do it....is it an internal projector? And how much of the mouth area is projection and how much is chassis? Very cool :D

It was hard to tell. Lightning McQueen was up on a pedestal and there was definitely room for a front projector. It appeared to me that the mouth was front projection and the eyes/windows were rear projection, but I could be wrong.
