This part always seems hellish on most challenges, this was the only time I had to restart a couple of times on my challenge and you know how easy that turned out to be >_> Good job.
If you know what you're doing it's actually not that bad in a regular level 1 game, Meltigemini and the Pandemonium are far worse. It's just tents are supposed to inflict status ailments occasionally. The only time I have good luck with tents is against Ozma:D

Atomos199's guide on GameFAQs. Basically, they're designed to give you enough time to get everything, and have 10 mins to spare at the end
