pcxs2 is a crappy emulator, I ran god of war 2 on an intel x4500, an ATI 5770 and an ATI 5970 and they all had about equal performance and the deep sound pitch and slow gameplay didnt change but by maybe by 1 or 2 fps

@tukun3104 not really, you can turn speedhacks all the way, they will make sound 60 fps while game is at it's default 30-60 fps

Hey i have the best solution for the ghost effect and glow effects !!

Just add these lines in ur gsdx.ini in inis folder:

UserHacks_AlphaHack=1

UserHacks_HalfPixelOffset=1

it will fix the double image when using any other resolution and fix the glow effects

and also to make ur video to fit the youtube player just add this line into your tags:

yt:stretch=16:9

Hola en este video se ve que god of war 2 corre a full velocidad pero no es por la capacidad del computador del que subio el video sino por un hack del emulador de pcsx2 que se llama vu cycle stealing que esta en las opciones speedhacks del emulador que cuando de lo pone en 2 el juego corre con mas frames.

eso se lo puede notar porque kratos parpadea, ese hack sirve para god of war 1 y 2 en otros juegos como tekken 5 corre lento con el hack.

@KILLA12PSN wow? there is no support for quad core as of now for pcsx2 so the best you can do is having a proccesor with AT LEAST 2 cores running at a high fsb

in this case a dual 3.3ghz is great for the emu

I've read that dual core works MUCH better than quad or single core for this emulator. No clue why. To the point where I've heard quad core intel processors have the worst experience with the ps2 emulator (worse than the single cores!)

@risakCZ Like ForcesOfOdin said, for some reason quad core is worse than dual-core and single cores. Supposedly, pcsx2 would only use two cores out of a quad core anyway. You also have to have the settings just right for any game. Also, if you play a lot of different games with pcsx2, then a lot of times you'd have to switch settings over to a specific game your playing because just one setting can make a game unplayable at times.

@ilhadosmacacos No FPS stands for frames per second. FPS just means how many pictures being displayed per second basically. Movies are set to 30 because if they go any lower than that, it just looks like pictures. So a 30 FPS can have a 48 or 72 Hz refresh rate!!

nice! wish someone could fix those small bugs like : glowing orbs, lack of shadows in hardware mode, etc.

but the sad thing is game dosnt run the same on all versions. some versions break the game, some older ones run it better, etc.

for example on my shit athlon x2 6000+ i can play this game correctly only using GSDX 1076m (green fog fix version) other GSDX version run it crap and some are only INTEL support.

wanna buy an i7 in the future...great vid anyway!
