  • Really stupid to spoil such a great song !

  • i agree

  • Hmm.. that sock is running pretty fast

  • what an incredibly creative concept. brilliant.

  • I hate how Youtube comments work. They get all out of order...

Anywho, the vid was pretty cute, and love the song.

  • Heard this in a "Without A Trace" eppie. Great song!

  • man thats where i heard it and i was like whoa..had to find it thank GOd for Youtube ( :

  • yay! that sock needed a bath at any rate! ;]

love the vid. and i love the little tear when it sees happy socks on happy feet. that was so cute.

  • Heard it on Without a Trace and loved it! Love Without a Trace

  • This stuff is sooooo powerful!!!!!!! Once again Moby managed to bring out all those emotions that are hiding in the depth of the human soul by using only few lines!

    Great job!

  • True, I think what Moby was conveying in this song is that we ought not take people or even some of the simple luxuries or anything for granted, and should show some appreciation for what we have or who is in our life. because one day we may be looking for that very thing or very person and they may be gone. Thats what I like about Moby, his music gets in your head!

  • Actually, knowing Moby's style, he was likely mixing an 1800s African American folk song. It is likely describing a woman dreaming of escaping slavery.

  • Actually, it's probably one of those songs written by African American slaves in the 1800s. Moby samples those fairly often.

  • Very well put together video.. good stuff!!

  • oh my god, i love this song ever since i heard it on without a trace!

  • good video :D

  • GREAT Vid!

  • The woman singing is Dianne McCaulley not Patti Labelle. Not sure how anyone could mistake the two.

  • That was entertaining, goes well with the song...

  • One of these mornings

    It won't be very long

He will look for his sock

    But it'll be gone!

Ha ha, it was nice but I expected a video closer to the "tragic" atmosphere of the song.

The power of the absence, the sorrow that comes with it... The sock certainly cannot represent that, I mean who gives a damn about their socks? :)

  • I didn't really get that the song was all that "tragic"

When I listen to this song, I think of someone being mistreated but finding it hard to find someplace better to go. They feel like an outcast where ever they go. They feel like they don't belong b/c they were mistreated

it's more like not realizing what you have till it's gone.

Representing it with a sock seemed like fun :)

  • I agree, awesome vid!

  • @Gooberr21 And a GR8 job of that you have done! I love this video I have shared it many times--I love the song too--it can represent so many things and times.

    Blessings

  • I LOVE IT!!!!

  • It seem like he use to keep it in the fridge :)

  • lol, that's awesome XD

  • just showed my mom.. we wanna know whyyyy the sock left?? lol soo sad... "not me man i'm bookin" haaha

  • the sock left b/c it was being mistreated by it's owner...(he wears the same socks everyday)...he went to find happiness in the dryer or to get lost in the dryer like other socks....maybe a sock heaven's in there...u can choose haha

  • Is that Patti LaBelle's voice? Whose Moby?

  • Moby: songwriter, musician and singer. Yes Patti LaBelle is singing. It was on a Without A Trace episode and the Miami Vice soundtrack.

  • Not even close, definitely not Patti Labelle. and Moby is a DJ that uses music samples and creates songs from them.

  • Very well done.... ORIGINAL.... and the song really gives it even more pajazz.

  • LMAO OMG SOO CUTE! I loved the socks!! Awesome job, Christina! Congratssss =)
