My daughter Tara was also born with anencephaly 11/5/89, she weighed 4lbs and 4oz. She only lived 8 hours. I know I am not alone and I love and miss her still so very much

I loved this video!!! It was beautiful. I too had a baby with anencephaly in Sept. of 2003. She lived for 46 min. Her name is Gracie June. God bless you. I know how painful it is but now you have an angel watching over you.

I just lost my baby on marsh 20 he had microcephaly and lissencephaly I will like to ask you if the dr. found out why your bb had that condition and if you were able to have another baby without the same condition. Can you please let me know it will help me alot with my lost.

Anencephaly is a type of neural tube defect; google this term. You will find that Research has shown that women with folic acid deficiencies have a higher chance of having a child with a neural tube defect, but this is only one factor. Taking folic acid does not completely negate the risk of neural tube problems, but it does significantly reduce the risk.

@1310joanne I don't want to give you false hope but doctors are sometimes wrong. my mother was told to abort me because I would be severely mentally retarded. I'm currently 23, a volunteer firefighter and a dog trainer. I have a few medical issues pertaining to my joints, I also have fibromyalgia, but there are some people and animals that wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for me.
