  • best video intro 0:48 ever

  • I want those Timberland earthkeepers he has on. #swag

  • I remember when this was the best song ever.

  • @Bindydog still is

  • very nice video and song

  • I met these guys back in 93 during the Lolapoolaza in New York, they were in our hotel on the Jersey side and got kicked out for cooking a pig in their bathtub,, they were a weird group of southern inbreds..

  • go head Mr. Wendel

  • ^^good back story!

  • Damn Looking back the 90's were really cool! :-)

  • epic

  • american dad? klaus? lol

  • "Two dollars means a snack to me, but it means a big deal to you." What condescending hypocritical BUNK.

  • @chinary8 haha, right?

  • @chinary8 No, your the one being condescending. Perhaps you should ask yourself if you don't agree with something do you understand it first, before passing judgement. As someone who ate bread and rice almost exclusively for a month, $2 was much more than a snack. I might of ate off that loaf of bread 2-3 days. Two loaves at one dollar each at Wal-mart, for almost a week of bread. I was thankful for every dollar that I received, no matter where it came from.

  • Remember buying the original vinyl when it came out. Classic.

  • iv been homless my whole life this is such a good

  • RAHHAHAHAHAHA 0:48

  • Conscious Music! It worked out well in da late 80s & early 90s cuz of da Black uprising. Dem punk ass record execs of today won't promote this kinda music now becuz they won't us 2 hate ourselves.

  • @MoneyC225 alot of the big rap record execs are actually black (bad boy/roca fella) i think its more about making disposebel music you can fire out easily and make the most profit not keeping a culture down

  • back when hip hop had a message and black guys had that leather tricolor africa necklace. I miss the 90s hip hop :(

  • Watching Venture Brothers led me to this band...

  • boy that brought back a lot of memories

  • I wish they had a like button on here

  • this is one song that never gets old to me

  • 54 personas con ignorancia de la verdadera musica y que en su vida escuchan Lady Shit o Justina Gayner....

  • I used to think I was the only white guy on the planet who listened to this band. This was inspired music. I miss groups such as this.

  • anyone who has never heard of these guys PLEASE listen to PEOPLE EVERYDAY

  • This song rocks always will.

  • thumbs up if venture brothers brought you here, and you thought they were talking about the show arrested developement and are completely ignorant to music like this.

  • Good tune@certain parties.

  • Great song. A jam from my days. Still great all these years later. TY

  • @pcburgh01 best music is from the 90s!

  • @black4pienus Phish is technically from the 80's, but their best work was done in the 90's. But yah, there was a great mix of hard rock, hip hop, rap, jam band and even the Grateful Dead. (Im a hippy music fan). But I love all good music, Good music can unite the world! Have a nice day man.

  • @pcburgh01 yep me too. I love oldschool hiphop, but also bands like pearljam nirvana and redhotchilipeppers.

  • I first heard this on Radio station KFOG in San Francisco way back in 1992, and it was the memory that brought me here

  • @missy5245 so did mine

  • This song should be the Occupy theme.

  • "If your name ain't arrested development then save your Speech."

    -KRS

  • I LOVE THIS I MISS THIS BLACK PEOPLE LOVE THIS

  • How the fuck could this be the 9th worst rap song of all time?

  • @YunikoonTheSecond cause who ever made that list was stupid and didnt get the meaning of the song

  • @YunikoonTheSecond YEAH NOONE EVER SAID LIST MAKERS WERE SMART OR HAVE ANY TASTE LOL

  • @mistakenluv I think that list make had a MistakenLuv for art....

  • I loved this group when I was coming up. A lot of positiveness in their music. Music with positive messages in it are hard to find these days. I had their autograph. I think I lost it though.

  • @missy5245 Same but 2 weeks ago

  • @missy5245 Lol me to XD

  • @missy5245 So glad that schools... it sounds like they're finally start to recognize how good, positive, original, and message driven Hip Hop can be.

HIP HOP IS NOT ON THE RADIO.....anymore :(

  • @cassiuscluh

    (: Yep

I never knew hip-hop could be so clean! My eyes have been opened! :D

  • What the hell!? to the side of this video they have all these great, legendary respecful artist/video suggestions like Digable Planets, Fugees, Pharcyde, Digital Underground, Tribe! (hand claps)

and then in the middle they have Juvenile!? back that ass up!?!?!!!? I just hope young kids see the giant difference.

they got Regulate too, which isn't "positive hip hop" necessarily, but at least that song was hella dope and original.

Early-mid 90's: mos definite my golden era of of Hip Hop

  • @cassiuscluh I was sayin the same thing, those were the days music was ...cant even find a proper word to describe it..but it has soul and meaning and i wasn't even a teenager yet at the time and somehow understood these songs

  • my first album my mom bought me when i was 5 for xmas

  • I was stationed in Japan when this came out, had to wait for the video and everything else! great song, and paved the way to honest songs about real life !!

  • @911chrystal So basically you think that before 1992 there weren't that many honest songs about real life, but once these middle-class hipsters started preaching about how cool it was to be poor, then things got real?

  • I have a crush on that dude, where is he anyway?

  • Comment removed

  • @Simma7 american dad had this song in it?

  • @Simma7 I didn't even know that it was on american dad... I was addicted to this song when it came out! yeah I know... I'm old. lol!

  • i like how rap from the 90s had a message to HELP people and raised self-awareness as well as teaching black folks how to embrace their roots, unlike the rap now that glorifies murder, rape, theft, illegitimate children, and neglecting your responsibilites. it's no surprise that crime is on the rise once again compared to back then...

  • @azzbot Nah, see, Arrested Development actually had talent.

  • I REALLY love this song, cannot get enough of it!

  • Where's the top comment that says they wish music were still like this and not about drinking at the club?

  • ironic that i hated this song when i was a kid and then i became homeless later

  • What ever Brady, that guitar in blues happy is dope, feel da spirit brothers!

  • How I wsih i was or could be Mr Wendal - Human in flesh but not by law and that my only worries were sickness and occasional police harrasement

  • @beteck123 dayem rite!

  • early to mid 90s, when it didn't matter what kind of music genre it was everyone could get into it, grunge, rap, rock, etc everyone was getting into it :)

  • As a kid, I always used to think the name of this song was Mr. Window. Maybe because of where Speech was sitting?

  • I never knew "BUMBS MAKE ME QUESTION SOCIETY" would make such an awesome song. Whoever Mr. Wendal is, I wanna meet him.
