I just like watching Tim Duncan's impeccable footwork. There's a reason he's almost always exactly where he needs to be to make the play. Unfortunately, most TV coverage focuses more on the upper body moves, so it's harder to see.
i hate people comment about him being "boring" i find him fun to watch coz he plays the game so well, he is the greatest PF all time and he does it without being some flashy guy, he is a legend
why is everyone saying if "kobe did this it would've been higher"? what did kobe do to you all? i agree duncan doesn't get his credit but kobe has nothing to do with this.
When a guy controls the passing game, the scoring game, the defensive game and the rebounding game, I think that accounts for something better than #47
I loved this game. It meant so much. It was like a passing of the torch from The Admaril David Robinson to Tim Duncan. The only thing wrong with this highlight was David Stern being in here.
how is this not higher than shaq's near quadruple double? shaq didn't even get the triple double... duncan did.. and Duncan's came in the game that won the championship...
@FLO31 Shaq always managed to draw the triple-team in his heyday. When that monster performance happened, it was like Godzilla and King Kong had a child and named him Shaq.
It's a shame superstars like Duncan, who are quiet and respectful, yet talented, go ignored compared to assholes like Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, or Shaq.
did he say world champion? I'm not saying the NBA Champ IS the best team in the world but it's still pretty tasteless to call a national champion "world champion"
These faggots never lost in The Finals they were a reeeal good team. Jason Kidd shoulda won MVP this year not Timmy. He took The Nets from worst to first and then to The finals. It was a one player swap him for Stephon what does that say about him?
@SquantoThePenguin Yeah I know it was 2001-2002 against The Lakers that's the year Im talking about. They gave Tim Duncan MVP that year Jason shoulda won it...
I mentioned this in another vid, but the top 3 vids on the NBA's list are lame & focus on the HYPE more than The Game. That includes my fav player Magic @ #2. Heck, the whole order of these 60 is lame.
IMO, Duncan's 3 pointer vs the Suns in '08 shoulda made this list. Honorable mention to Bruce Bowen's nonstop barrage of baseline 3's vs the Lakers in 2003. 27 pts on 7-8? Whoa! Bowen's improvement on that one shot was HUGE & a major factor in da Spurs dethroning the former champs.
Hey guys, have anyone tried the nba training program for dunking and shooting? Even Kobe, Ray Allen and Gilbert Arenas have used it before. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, take a look at snipurl[dot]com/nbatraining
Tim Duncan is a class act, fundamental super sound player. He's like the Pete Sampras of Basketball. So dominating yet not flashy. I guess it may be easy to hate him after all. Most of it is rooted in jealousy not real mature complaints.
Great comparison, Sampras & Duncan. Both understated, classy & absolutely devastating.
I'm a longtime Laker fan, yet it's lame to see people always focus on the MJs, Kobes & Lebrons while overlooking TD. ESPN's recent poll has Kobe as the overwhelming vote getter for best player over the last decade, but IMO it should be a 3-way tie w/ Duncan/Kobe/Shaq.
The people of San Antonio got Duncan AND Robinson... and even got to see 'em play together. How awesome is that? Respect!
It would've been if he was a Lakers player. But he isn't, so there's no way it'll be top 20. These ranks are extremely biased, and in no way are they ranked in proper order imo. Every Lakers highlight Iv'e seen so far were the worst ones of the bunch, and are only there because it was the Lakers. This sort of annoying bias is why I don't like them. WAY overhyped.
people dont like tim because they think hes slow, hes boring, becasue he doesnt dunk on people. tim doesnt really care about the season. just as long as he makes it to the playoffs hes good. he lets parker and manu take care of the season. but when the playoffs come he jumps up from 17-18 points a night and 8-10 rebounds during the season to 30+ points and 15+ rebounds a game during the playoffs. believe me people tim still has alot left in him.
i dont like TD, because he's kinda slow, many say, he's boring... but I respect him 100%.. may be he's boring, because he uses basic post move, but doing it effectively.. he's kinda slow, but a very smart player.. and he has the heart and passion in playing basketball... Tim Duncan the Greatest Power Forward...
Watch full videos when he was younger. He's slowed down significantly, but when you see him in this series, you'll be surprised at the quickness and power of his moves.
He's never been explosive like Barkley, but he's old now, so it's easy to forget that he was a stud when he was younger.
This should be much higher...if it was anyone but Tim Duncan who put up 20, 18, 10 and 8 in an NBA championship clinching game, it would have gotten a lot more respect.
The BEST perfomence of tim duncan's career no doubt, WAY WAY WAY better than Shack's perfomence against the sixers in game 2. cause duncan did it at pressure time. crunch time! Tim Duncan, the Big Fundemental
Here are the only 4 quadruple doubles recorded in NBA history: Nate Thurmond, Chicago Bulls (10-18-74) 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks. Alvin Robertson, Spurs (2-18-86) 20 points 11 rebs 10 assists 10 steals Hakeen Olajuwon, Rockets (3-29-90) 18 points 16 rebs 10 assists 11 blocks, David Robinson, Spurs, (2-17-94) 34 pts 10rebs 10 assists 10 blocks. Also wilt chamberline would of had had several quadruple doubles if block shots were counted in his day.
Nate Thurmond did it for the Bulls once. Alvin Robertson for the Spurs did it a long time ago. David Robinson did it. Hakeem did it twice but one of the times is questioned. He had 10 assists but the scorers only had him at 9. The NBA later corrected it but...they don't recognize that he did it the second time. There are some other people who did it very early, but they can't be verified. Wilt Chamberlain vs. Boston in the playoffs- 24 pts, 32 reb, 13 assists and 12 blks (allegedly) OMG!!
you are retarted. i know what a triple double is retard your mistaken. Nate Turmond has a a quadruple double before and so has wilt do you know anything about basketball?
I wonder y ppl hate the spurs win they winning... i know they dont show off but i bet alot of NBA players would play for them if they wanted championships.....
unbelievable. definatly one of the best periods in the nba that 2000-2003 period. alot of the players from the 90s were veterans, while the stars of today were younger, but still fantastic
Clyde Drexler had a quadruple double once; unfortunately the fourth category was turnovers :-(
