I usually dont talk religion on the web but a question I need answered is why is Gabriel always a badguy? In 'The Prophecy' with Christopher Walken (A much better movie) Gabriel wanted a soul to help him win the war in heaven and in 'Legion' he is the one that God sends to kill the baby. Gabriel is mentioned just a couple of times in the Bible as is Michael but Hollywood makes them larger than life.
i've seen this movie. great action sequences. great characters. Michael is smart , Gabrielle is bad ass. the story line is pretty good. rate the whole movie 8 out of 10. definitely worth watching.

totally have to agree with you that taking the bible literally can have extremly bad effects. I mean people used it to justify segregation, gay marriages, the extermination of jews. I believe in the bible, in the qu'ran, in the torah, and in every other religion there is simply because the message is universal, and that message is LOVE. You don't have to believe that the earth was created in 7 days and evolution is a lie, but i think its important to believe in LOVE and KINDNESS.
The bible actually does approve some of the things you mention. If people use it to do those things, they are following their religious texts as a good believer. Of course I think that is completely ridiculous and one of the reasons I strongly oppose religion in any form.
Love and kindness are definitely important, but we don't need an iron age book for that. Just common human decency based on reasoned logic.
I think it's kind of interesting what you talked about. I always wondered about how the universe could be made by God. I learn it at church but science seems more logical. The Bible or qu'ran never refer to the real "first men". Adam and Eve were supposedly supposed to be like normal people, but what about the 3,000,000 year old HomoSapien girl that was found in Africa? Does this make sense to you??

And I know nowadays its cool to bash Christians from the comments I read from Youtube, so my question is if someone made a movie that had the Prophet Muhammed from the Muslim religion destroying the Earth, would people be upset? Would Muslim's be bashed like the Christians have? Or is it not politically correct to say anything about Muslims? Or how about Abraham coming down with Moses to kill mankind. Would Jews get upset? Or is that not politically correct?

What did u think of it? I was actually amused but the possesed little kids were creepy. lol. What gets me is that Gabriel is always bad and Michael good. And I didn't know all angels were white and British. lol.

True but what I was getting at is from mainstream studio films like 'The Prophecy' and 'Constaintine' and now 'Legion' or crappy low budget horror, Gabriel is either bad or a lap dog for an 'Evil' God. Gabriel is a messenger nothing more. Michael is the Arch Angel and leader of God's army. I know I'm sounding all Holy rolly now but isn't there other Angels they can use by now? lol

I usually dont talk religion on the web but a question I need answered is why is Gabriel always a badguy? In 'The Prophecy' with Christopher Walken (A much better movie) Gabriel wanted a soul to help him win the war in heaven and in 'Legion' he is the one that God sends to kill the baby. Gabriel is mentioned just a couple of times in the Bible as is Michael but Hollywood makes them larger than life.

i've seen this movie. great action sequences. great characters. Michael is smart , Gabrielle is bad ass. the story line is pretty good. rate the whole movie 8 out of 10. definitely worth watching.

The storyline is bullshit...God wants to destroy the world but he sends christ back as a baby to save the world....Basically taking stories from the bible and mixing it all up...

@smileyfacex0 Based on the trailers I would say he is the bad guy. But to be entirely honest, he is pretty much a bad guy in the bible too, killing, flooding, plagues, etc.

You say that based on...? You claim to know what your god thinks and wants? I'm sorry, but it is pretty clear from the bible that the god in there is the opposite of a nice god. He is jealous, angry, vindictive, cruel, so on and so forth. He is responsible for millions of deaths in the bible stories alone, even the devil seems like a nice guy in comparison, because strangely enough, he kills only one or two.

i have to disagree with you there, the devil damned millions of souls to hell, just because its not written in the bible doesn't mean its not there. The bible is a book of GOD not the book of the devil. Also must take into account that the bible is not an exact copy, it was written by and copied by people from generation to generation. Personal biases, and humanity's stain will be left behind as the residue. Also if you want any proof God is KIND, look around you and think how lucky YOU are.

you're right, you are ABSOLUTLY right! but maybe GOD didn't put humans on this incredible planet so that he could control our fates and every movement, maybe God put us here to help one another. Yes God didn't reach a hand out and magically fix everything, but think about all the amazing people down there now helping those who are in need, is that not a miracle in its own rights. We have CHOICES, but with those choices comes responsibilities. And is faith not as important as any necessity?

totally have to agree with you that taking the bible literally can have extremly bad effects. I mean people used it to justify segregation, gay marriages, the extermination of jews. I believe in the bible, in the qu'ran, in the torah, and in every other religion there is simply because the message is universal, and that message is LOVE. You don't have to believe that the earth was created in 7 days and evolution is a lie, but i think its important to believe in LOVE and KINDNESS.

The bible actually does approve some of the things you mention. If people use it to do those things, they are following their religious texts as a good believer. Of course I think that is completely ridiculous and one of the reasons I strongly oppose religion in any form.
Love and kindness are definitely important, but we don't need an iron age book for that. Just common human decency based on reasoned logic.

I think it's kind of interesting what you talked about. I always wondered about how the universe could be made by God. I learn it at church but science seems more logical. The Bible or qu'ran never refer to the real "first men". Adam and Eve were supposedly supposed to be like normal people, but what about the 3,000,000 year old HomoSapien girl that was found in Africa? Does this make sense to you??

yea it does! Actually the oldest human being was found in my country-Ethiopia & i COMPLETLY agree with you, there is a reason why there is a division between science & faith. The world & everything that happens CANNOT be explained by ANY religious book. At the same time, there is something deeper than what we see on the surface--that is our soul & that cannot be explained using science. One cannot exist without the other, Science is FACTS-not belief, religion is based on BELIEF & FAITH-not fact.

Plus, as the god in the bible is supposedly omni-potent (i.e. he can do whatever he wants), there MUST have been a better way to get rid of evil that does not include killing every fucking living thing on the planet. He should be able to do it just by thinking about it.
